Gulf Trace is a private, secluded beach community (one half mile from Grayton Beach) that is surrounded by 800 acres of a Dune Preserve with Coastal Lakes owned by the State of Florida and directly on the Gulf of Mexico.

The chef will enjoy cooking on (2) Gas Grills. Grayton Beach and South Walton County has become famous for its aqua-blue crystal clear water and white sandy beaches and was recently ranked the Number One Beach by Dr. Stephen Leatherman (Dr. Beach) of the University of Maryland.
Just one half mile walk along the beach to the famous Red Bar restaurant and Shorty's restaurant at Grayton Beach. Grayton Beach is a unique turn of the century community where sun bathers gather to watch the sunsets and where captains launch in the surf to take their guests deep sea fishing. Grayton Beach is the ultimate beach destination. Near Grayton Beach are fantastic Florida golf courses.

As I sit in the enclosed outdoor living/dining area overlooking the pool overlooking the views of the dunes and the gulf, I am so glad I booked two weeks here at Vista Dunes! Our grown children & grand babies left today after one week of absolute fun in the pool & on the beach, leaving just me & my husband to unwind & enjoy the serenity here provided by the lucious landscape & great views! The house is perfect with ample windows to view the sunrise over the dunes that provide privacy & proximity to nature at its best with a cup of coffee in the early morning. The a/c is great & the kitchen is well stocked for groups like ours that enjoy cooking downstairs by the pool or in the open space kitchen/dining area. The 3 refrigerators met our needs after a fishing trip with a local guide that provided ample fish for our family fish fry ! Our group of 7 adults & 3 kids under 4 loved this place that provided a respit from the day to day demands of a family that works together & still vacations together! The tv system is great & provided places for not only Fox News but Sponge Bob & Yo Gabba Gabba !! We are truly blessed to be able to experience this slice of Heaven and hope to come back again!! GREAT PLACE with PHENOMENAL VIEWS!!Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway.

Vista Dunes is a piece of Heaven on Earth! I have enjoyed several visits there with girlfriends over the last few years and we all leave counting the days til we have the opportunity to come back again. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. The house is so spacious! We have plenty of space to spread out and do our own thing or all come together for meals, swimming, sunrise, sunset, happy hour and even watching Dancing with the Stars in high definition with surround sound! Vista Dunes accommodated our mix of early birds and night owls with ease. It is evident that the owners care about their guests and ensure they have everything needed to enjoy their vacations. Vista Dunes made our times together extra special. Along with walking on the beach, deepening friendships, and laughing together until we cried, the naps in the hammock overlooking the Gulf and the peaceful sounds of nature at sunrise are two of my fondest memories. And on top of all that, the shopping is awesome too!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Our family and close friends gathered in Santa Rosa Beach in April for our daughter's wedding and we were so fortunate to stay at Vista Dunes. We have had many beach vacations and stayed in homes and condos in the Destin and Blue Mountain area and Vista Dunes is without equal. Barbara was so gracious in helping us plan our stay and we felt so "at home". The house is equipped with everything you could possibly want, even to a cabinet in the kitchen completely filled with spices! We loved the pool and cabana kitchen and enjoyed sitting in the evenings on the side deck and listening to the frogs in Alligator Lake. We've never had such spectacular views of the beach and the lake. We look forward to staying in Vista Dunes again.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

I have stayed at this amazing beach house many times over the last several years and each time I feel like I have been swept away to paradise. I've been with girlfriends and I've been with my husband and it's always wonderful. The house is spacious, beautifully decorated, fully equiped with everything you could ever want or need, and it offers a gorgeous view from just about every room. Watching a fantastic sunrise over the lake from the east deck is an experience you will never forget. Besides the clear blue water and white sandy beaches, there are so many more attractions in the area. Lots of great shopping and restuarants. I can't wait to go back.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

The perfect beach vacation experience. This is a 5 star plus. We have been going there every year for eight years and it gets better every year. Everything you could hope for. The view of the beautiful Gulf is spectacular. The house is extremely comfortable with outdoor kitchen and heated pool for year round bathing.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

I have been all over the world and stayed at some wonderful places and Vista Dunes is still one of my favorite places to visit. The sunrises in the morning over the dunes watching the deer run and play, the birds that are all over the dunes as they welcome the morning. The views are breathtaking, such a wonderful place to spend special times with special friends. The pool is beautiful and the outdoor kitchen has all you could hope for. The house and contents are complete down to the smallest detail. I highly reccomend it for a great place for family and friends.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

This place is AWESOME! Very close to some really good restraurants, shopping, along with being on a gorgeous beach, what more can you ask for? Looking for a romantic getaway? Family vacation where there is something for every family member? Girls trip or men's fishing or golf trip? Vista Dunes is THE PERFECT place. The house is equipped with everything you need, furnished beautifully and extremely comfortable. The views, the white sand, the beautiful blue ocean make this a wonderfully peaceful retreat. Grocery stores, shopping, amazing restaurants,are all in close proximity. I have been fortunate to have been able to enjoy this beautiful place with my two sisters & girlfriends for the past 8 years. I absolutely recommend it to everyone.. You won't find another place in the area that is more PERFECT!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

This home is beaurifully decorated and every detail is carefully planned for maximum enjoyment. Wonderful pool to cool off afer a long walk on the beautiful beach and a fabulous kitchen with everything a person would ever need for quiet a evening at home to enjoy the view.
