We built a beautiful home on the Centerville River across from Craigville Beach. Every bedroom has hardwood floors, a nice soft bed and a private tile bath with granite vanity, access to a balcony and beautiful water views, perfect for a family get away or a small corporate retreat.
The top floor library and great room has a wide screen TV, gas fireplace and a wetbar with built-in bookshelves, library and more beach books and novels than you could read in a lifetime.
You can walk to Craigville Beach for a swim in the Nantucket Sound or stroll to the "4 Seas" and sample the world's best ice cream! You can fish in the Centerville River, gather wildflowers in the back yard or lounge in the sun on one of the private decks. There are lots of cozy places to curl up with a book if that is your goal. Or spend your day watching the ducks, geese and swans on the Centerville River from the window seat. Afterall, it's your vacation!

Why the Owner Chose Centerville
We didn't buy it. We built it! When you see the views you'll understand why. It's just so beautiful to experience Cape Cod in all her glory. we built it as "green" as we could because Cape Cod is a beautiful resource and we'd like everyone to enjoy it for a very long time. We built in as many beautiful details as possible to make the home as interesting as the surrounding marsh and river and that's a pretty tough task. We kept the design simple, elegant and as sturdy as any of the ships that were built across the street in "Good Harbor" a century and a half earlier. Everyone who visits feels the relaxation and you will too.
The Unique Benefits at this Single Family Home
"Wow! The views are breathtaking..." Everyone who visits the house has a similar reaction; They say very nice things about the "clean open feel of the rooms" and "soothing colors" and the hand crafted woodwork and built-ins as they travel from room to room. It's funny really, how their voice gives away their excitement as they "discover" the views out each window. On the first floor and as they make their way around the second floor bedrooms, then as they reach the top floor they all say the same thing "Wow! the views are amaizing".
Its a great compliment when they talk about how relaxing the views are. That's the way I've felt since I first purchased the land ten years ago.
This is one of the nices beaches on Cape Cod. I learned to swim here, finished the Iron Man here and enjoy walking from Squaw Island to Osterville as often as I can.
Best Ice Cream on the planet! Just a short walk over the crabbing bridge... Great treat before bed for every littleone who finishes dinner. Or a great treat on the way home from the library!

This is the end of Long Beach. The turn around point for a great walk and if you've got a mind to fish... I've done real well with live bait or lures casting here on the out going tide. Good luck
They have great hamburgers but you have to walk in from the beach and pretend you are a member!
Black Beard burried some treasure up this creek... JFK used to walk along Squaw Island across the cut and I've causgt my share of dinners right off this jetty!

I grew up on Cape Cod. Playing on the beaches and Fishing and crabbing in the marshes. I learned to swim across the street at Craigville Beach! I remember getting ice cream cones at the 4 Seas after dinner if we'd been good. Life was simple then and there's no better place to be a kid... Now at 48, I still find the same "connection" when I'm on the Cape. As soon as I see the views and take in that first breath of salt sea air, I'm connected... and life is simple again.

Well - the Gang is all here! Mom and Dad got here with Hays, Bethany's 10 year old son on Wednesday night. My brother, Jay, got here shortly after, in his scrubs from Boston re- routed from NYC. My husband, Ray, came with Amanda, Bethany's daughter on Thursday night, followed by my older sister Trish, her husband, Tom and her kids, Niko and Anthony. Mom cried as soon as she walked in the door, and I think that my Dad and Puppa George, his brother, are still walking in circles not able to get through how great the house is. Everyone got settled very quickly and we all had a good laugh when your nephew came by and Bethany told him to take his shoes off before he came into the house....he had sand on his shoes. The pictures are already too funny, but more so, the pictures of everyone with the vacuum and cleaning are just too funny even for us! Today we are a bit tired....a little overserved and danced out after the wedding last night, but we are still laughing. We cleaned from top to bottom today, at Bethany's direction, and boy does this house clean up pretty easily! We are all hanging and watching a movie right now after a big family dinner, compliments of the chef, me! We are all so at home here, even Jay has claimed his own shower and is giving Ray and Rich alot of shit if they mess it up....he too is a neat freak! The kids are constantly asking me "Auntie Heather, can you buy this house because it is AWESOME! They love the 3rd floor and for all the adults sake, we love them on the 3rd floor too! My niece and nephew take a run with me on the beach every morning, so peaceful that early, while the rest of the crew slowly awake and we start with cooking, laughing and the memories from the night before! Attached are some nice shots of the family, immediate family, before we headed out to the wedding. I figured I would share who we are before I send the shots of us being nuts..... Bethany and I singing with your kitchen utensils welcoming everyone! Puppa George and Puppa Joe obviously give the thumbs up and as you can see. So just checking in for now. I also attached some pictures of the house I just built in Long Island as I came across them in Puppa Joe's camera as I was downloading the others....thought you may be interested. Anyway, a ton of pictures already and I am sure many more to come! Lots of laughs and funny moments. Cousin George did a dump run, as well as, Puppa George and Puppa Joe today, so if you speak with your nephew, we are good shape. I think he went to Long Island this weekend and mentioned he may come by on Monday, but right now,we got it covered. I hope that all is as well with you as it is with us! We are loving the house and keeping it company in your absence! Speak to you soon!
