The Unique Benefits at this Condo

HEre what my guest wrote: ".... Close to restaurants, shopping, etc...very convenient location. Open loft space with much more room than a hotel would offer. Very comfortable, larger than queen size bed, adequate towels and linens and lots of "old world" charm throughout the loft, with an amazing painted mural on the ceiling. The hustle of Florence streets just a few steps away from a safe, secluded, quiet, residence inside. Was skeptical at first because we're used to staying in hotels but found this a welcome retreat and plan to go back...."

We stayed in this charming flat for two weeks (Sept 15-28,2011). You could not find a better location. It is situated within easy walking distance of all the major attractions. It gave us value for money compared to staying in a hotel - we loved having the space. We felt safe and secure and appreciated the quiet surroundings. We would not hesitate to recommend it. We would also recommend that the owner replace the mattress, which we found very hard to sleep on and buy new pillows. Also confirm that they know when you are arriving. In spite of 2 e-mails, there was no one to meet us and, after a transatlantic flight, that is not a great way to start your holiday. However, a kindly neighbour called the agent, who arrived within 20 minutes. All in all, a great place. We would certainly stay there again and, as mentioned above, would recommend it. WONDERFUL IN EVERY WAY!

I was met by Angela who was very nice, she gave me the keys, let me know where to find the grocer and how to operate the items in the apartment which are plenty and had some recomendations for me. It's so nice to have a washer, the bathroom was great with a nice tub, plenty of hot water and good water presure. The bed was comfortable and clean. The apartment is centraly located to everything, a 5 min walk to most sites and a tow min walk to the Taxi stand at Santa Croce. Teatro Pizza next door has the best service in Florence, good prices and good food. Teatro Verdi is right accross the street, and an internet cafe is 3 blocks away. My deposit was returned as promised without hesitation and communication was always easy with these ladies prior to my arrival, they soothed all my concerns (and I had plenty since this was my first trip alone). I recomend this apartment highly as do I recomend the people who own it. I concider this my home whenever I go back to Florence. There is no need to look any further.

Great location, terrific AC, secure, very attractive, great bathroom/shower. Furniture is a little ragged; had difficulty arranging for linen change. I'd rent this again. Very good value.

We recently stayed at the Ghibellina loft apartment in Florence. Was skeptical at first because we're used to staying in hotels but found this a welcome retreat and plan to go back. Only downside was there wasn't a DVD player when we were there and we brought DVDs as all the channels speak in Italian, of course! And the TV could have been a little larger -important to Americans or if you're traveling with children or teenagers. The fireplace was not set up to work as advertised, although not missed, and there was no jacuzzi or "jetted" tub access as was promoted. Lighting could have been better at nightime as well but the dimmed lights gave a real romantic effect and the large floor to ceiling windows gave plenty of natural light during the day. The gated entrance to the interior courtyard was tranquil while providing security and we loved returning from a day of sightseeing to a real sense of Florentian living in a romantic loft which felt very much like our own for the time we were there. The City Manager was there to greet us upon arrival with a lunch basket, a bottle of Italian wine and birthday cake that I had requested for my boyfriend. Very nice touches which made us feel very welcome after a long flight. All in all a lovely stay and we recommend this loft to anyone looking to venture from the beaten path with the hopes of having a memorable stay in Florence. You'll find it here!

Owner response:Thanks very much! You are righ there is not a Jetted tub but the bathroom is fitted with a bathtub. Sorry it's fault of my english that is not perfect! I will improve the audio-video system. Regards Roberta Oldrati
