We stayed here in January and had an absolute blast! This cabin is the nicest wood cabin that I have ever seen, there are exposed wood support beams, a woodburning stove, and endless charm! The layout of this place is very open, and there is a huge kitchen table for playing games. It was truly a great bonding experience for the family, and we hope to return real soon! Thanks for Making this Beautiful Cabin Available to us! ps. Maureen (owner) is awesome and a dream to deal with!

Maureen, We thoroughly enjoyed your cabin and our trip to Wintergreen! We hiked the current AT to the overlook and also hiked the old AT to Smokin Falls and thoroughly enjoyed both. The cabin was great and well equipped. We really enjoyed the cooking gear and all the facilities. Weather was fantastic. Hiked a bunch and had lunch at DB.

Peaceful Summer Get Away

This is third summer we've returned to the cabin-its our favorite summer get away. The cabin looks beautifully rustic from the outside but inside it has all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Well stocked kitchen for cooking great dinners. Large combined livingroom and kitchen/dining area with a classic cask iron wood stove. Screened in three season porch on the side leading out to a deck in back. Just a perfect cabin set up for a good sized group of eight or just a couple away for a weekend. The AT trail is literally a stones throw from the front door and the ski slopes and other recreational facilities are just two miles down road. We highly recommend the cabin for anyone looking to get away for a relaxing, easy few days on the mountain top at Wintergreen.

Thanks so much for a great weekend. We found it to be a great cabin with lots of “extras” in a beautiful, tranquil setting one driveway from the Appalachian Trail. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin and truly appreciated the “at home” touches throughout. Everything worked wonderfully, all instructions from the owners were easily found and understandable. Our short vacation felt much longer, and our stress melted away as soon as we got there. We will be back as soon as we can!

Hey Maureen: Thanks for your follow up. We had a great time up at your cabin. The weather did not cooperate Tuesday and Wednesday, but we welcomed the rain and cool temps. The hikes and sites were great. Saw deer, black bear, and beautiful cloud formations on and over the mountains. Your cabin is very nice and very comfortable. Thank you again for allowing us to stay in your cabin, and we would love to return again next year. We wished we stayed one more night to allow us to attend the Music Festival that was happening on the day of our departure. We love the magic that Wintergreen offers.

We just got back from our weekend at your cabin and I wanted to tell you how much we loved it. The cabin is great - we went up on Friday and it was already snowing and it snowed all day on Saturday. Really more of a blizzard than just snow and we got at least 30" up there. The tires on the cars were completely buried in the snow but we were very impressed at how well Wintergreen kept the roads clear. The skiing was absolutely great but really cold and snowy. Take care and I will definetly recommend your cabin to others. Best of luck and I'll send some pics of all the snow when I download everything off my camera.
