Miamoor sits on one of the high points of the island near Siasconset for commanding views of the surrounding moors, ocean and Sankaty Head Lighthouse, from the second story, and even more panoramic views on the Widows Walk. From there you can see the ocean near Siasconset and around the entire eastern curve of the island.
Tom Nevers beach is only about a mile away - an easy walk or bike ride. Far enough away from the crowds in Nantucket Town for amazing peace and quiet, and yet an easy bike ride will get you there when you want to go shopping. An even shorter bike ride takes you into beautiful, historic Siasconset, the second largest town on the island.
The quality of air, sunlight and quiet makes for hours of wholesome relaxation on the deck. Take an outdoor shower in the midday sun. The sunsets and stars, especially from the widow's walk, are incredible. Night life, shopping, and museums are a short drive, shuttle or bike ride away. The island offers quite a show on July 4th!
