From modern, up-scale accommodations, stunning views, the beautiful white sand beach of Playa Norte and an incredible calm, shallow swimming area, Ixchel II will not disappoint!
Our spacious fifth floor balcony looks out over palm trees and the azure-blue waters toward Cancun. Take in the view while enjoying your morning coffee, lunch or a dinner-time cocktail. The balcony is accessed from both the living room and master suite through wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling three-panel sliding doors that push back to one panel and open the rooms up to the outdoors.
The spacious, comfortable rooms are well appointed with tile throughout, granite countertops, large, glass-enclosed showers and individual climate controls.
Our kitchen gives you the opportunity to maintain some of your mealtime routines while on vacation. We like to have breakfast and lunch on the balcony and then wander downtown for dinner out. The large local grocery store has everything you need - fresh fruits and veggies, fresh meats, a deli, bakery, pharmacy, wine, beer and alcohol. It is about a five block walk from Ixchel - we like to wander back via the newly created walkway along the Caribbean side.
The downtown area is two short blocks from Ixchel. There you will find lots of shops, friendly locals and excellent, reasonably priced restaurants. The fresh seafood is exceptional. Closer to 'home', the Sunset Grill, just down the beach from Ixchel, offers great meals right on the beach, just feet from the waters edge.

Why the Owner Chose Isla Mujeres
We visited Isla on a day trip from Cancun several years ago and loved the friendly people, gorgeous beach and great restaurants! In 2007 we decided to spend 2 weeks on the island and were looking at real estate by the end of that trip! We love Isla!
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Our idea of paradise is sitting on the balcony with a coffee or margarita and gazing out at the view and the incredible azure blue water. It takes your breath away!
After a leisurely outdoor breakfast, we head to the beach with our books and our floating chairs! Afternoon options include lunch on the beach or the balcony, more beach time, perhaps a siesta, a margarita . . . . . Hard to decide some days! Evenings find us downtown trying to decide which of the many great restaurants we will eat at that night. More hard decisions!
If we can pull ourselves off the beach, we enjoy renting a golf cart for a tour of the Island - the turtle farm is a must see!
The staff at Ixchel II are wonderful and do everything possible to make our stay enjoyable! We can't wait to get back!!!

Brenda and Clay Larson live in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. Situated at the center of a 90 mile long lake, Kelowna has a wonderful, four-seasons climate, and has become a destination for golfers, skiers, and wine lovers! Clay practices law out of our home and Brenda, a retired teacher, keeps busy developing and marketing her Itchy’s Alphabet, a line of products designed to teach children letter sounds and letter formations.
