O’Donnell Lane is the subtle blend of secluded privacy with very close proximity to the unique restaurants ("restaurant row") and shopping in and around Glen Ellen and Sonoma Wine Country.
The property consists of a newly renovated, warm and inviting four bedroom, three and one-half bath house that is situated on one+ acres of well-maintained lawns and mature olive, oak and bay trees. The back lawn is nestled up against the Calabazas creek which flows all year.
The large, well-appointed Viking gourmet kitchen, complete with a six-burner, two-oven Viking range and natural granite counter tops, begs for preparing gourmet meals and entertaining for discerning guests. There are two dining tables which can seat up to eight people each.
The four bedrooms consist of two California king beds (downstairs Master Bedroom and upstairs Suite) and two queen beds (downstairs Poolside Guest Bedroom and downstairs Den Bedroom with a new Memory Foam sofa pullout). All the beds have new, over-sized mattresses with cozy pad tops and 600 thread-count linens.
The furniture throughout the house is an eclectic mix of 19-20th century antiques and modern appointments.

Plug in your iPod to the stereo, select your favorite playlist, and lounge in the den that overlooks the bubbling creek below (or any room for that matter as our high-end surround-sound stereo system plays throughout the house as well as outside by the pool). Or spend your afternoons swaying effortlessly in a hammock under the shade of the Mulberry trees while the creek lulls you in and out of consciousness. Better yet, soak in the warm Sonoma sun while lying on a chaise next to the heated saline pool. Unplugged, pure and serene…these are the natural themes of O’Donnell Lane.
The property and house are secluded, yet only five minutes from the award-winning wineries of Sonoma Valley. You are only 15-20 minutes from Sonoma Plaza, ten miles from Santa Rosa and thirty minutes to Napa valley. The house is amazing. We had no idea how great it was going to be! We absolutely loved the setting -- both a feeling of seclusion and of small-town community. The entire stay was so comfortable, easily accommodating 8 adults, even with the 4th bedroom fold-out bed. Highlights include the pool, the ability to walk to amazing restaurants (and only a little further for a grocery store), the lovely gourmet kitchen, the heated bathroom floors (a perk that you don't know you need until you have it), and the excellent location between Sonoma proper and the Santa Rosa area. Accessibility to Healdsburg isn't bad, either. The owner is very helpful as well. Stay here. I would like to return so badly.

We rented this beautiful home for the weekend of our wedding. It was so perfect and held all my bridesmaids perfectly. We were able to relax by the pool and walk to the local mart to pick up coffee and snacks in the morning.The house is not only gorgeous and spacious but its secluded and comfortable. We are already planning a trip back next year!!

Where to begin, this house FAR surpassed our expectations! A group of us rented it for a friend’s wedding and had the most spectacular time! The house has a fabulous layout, with large bedrooms and bathrooms spread out on opposite ends of the house, allowing everyone to have their own space and the large common area's are wonderful for all hanging out together. The kitchen is top of the line and a chef’s dream, it is also a wonderful place to gather together - morning, noon and night! The pool area is incredible, very relaxing and fully stocked with everything you need for the perfect day by the pool! Town is within walking distance, giving you the option to enjoy a meal out, however we dreaded ever having to leave the house! Having come from the city it was such a wonderful experience to drive less than an hour, leaving the fog behind and end up in paradise! We plan to return annually! The owner's were great to deal with when booking the home, very responsive and wonderful to work with. They have clearly put a lot of thought into every aspect of the home and created a very inviting and liveable vacation home! Thanks again to you both! We plan to make it an annual trip!!

Our stay at O’Donnell Lane is the 10th year in a row we've gone up to wine country (Napa or Sonoma county) for a summer vacation, and this house was by far the best we've ever had. We loved the kitchen – in fact, the private chef we used for one evening said it was the best kitchen he’s cooked in. Some of the vacation properties can feel kind of sterile, and O’Donnell Lane was warm, inviting, and felt like a HOME. All the bedrooms & bathrooms had beautiful new linens and towels -- even large beach towels for the pool. The saline pool is absolute paradise as it was warmer than most pools and the saline affect did not leave us with dried, itchy skin as chlorine pools do. The grounds are also wonderful, including the creek at the back of the property. As O’Donnell Lane is a dead-end lane it was very peaceful with zero car noise. Also, we were within short stroll down the lane to Glen Ellen “restaurant row”! I can't tell you how much we appreciated the house. It was perfect!

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. My father had an amazing 70th birthday in the heart of the old wine country he loves.
