For me and my family, Timber Ridge is the coolest area in Mammoth. It's the highest condominiums up the mountain above 8600 feet. When you arrive there, you really have gotten somewhere. We are happy to share our condo with a select group of people that feel the same sense of excitement and appreciation for this beautiful place.
There are some unique qualities of this particular Condo. My favorite features are the added windows overlooking Canyon Lodge. You will notice the extraordinary quiet, and at night, the beautiful stars. In the morning, look out the windows at the slopes and plan your approach as you get ready to go. The best! In the summer, ride your bike right off the trail to the garage door, fire up the BBQ on the deck and talk about the crazy day you just had. :-)

P.S. Please bring chains!! Front wheel drive and four wheel drive are even better. It can be tough getting into Mammoth when it's snowing! We can't refund for weather related problems.

Why the Owner Chose Timber Ridge
We love al the stuff there is to do in Mammoth. We ski, ride bikes, off road motorcycles, fish (but never manage to catch anything), hike, participate in many of the planned events put on by the city.

Timber Ridge is on a very quiet dead end street. Great views. Ski or ride to and from two locations on Mammoth Mountain!

We enjoyed our 8 night stay at Timber Ridge. It is a comfortable, roomy condo with relatively easy mountain access, even with little snow. I would recommend the property to friends.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children.

We rented this condo for 5 nights - 4 full days of skiing - with a family of 6. The owner was great to work with and provided additional insight to help us since it was our first (and not our last!) time to Mammoth. The condo was comfortable and had great views of the Canyon lodge. The condo was very comfortable. To our surprise, the garage was filled with firewood which made it easy to stay warm even though it was cold outside. Kitchen was well stocked with all the ammenities you could think of. The piano that is advertised was entertaining as well. It was very comfortable for our family with 2 adults and 4 kids. The two sleeping lofts easily accomodated our 4 small children. The attached garage was a plus, but it only has space allocated for one car. Indoor hot tob and suanas were very close by. Short drive to either Canyon or Eagle Lodge and/or town. While the Timber Ridge complez certainly has ski in/ski out options, it was a lot easier to ski in than to ski out. It is a bit of a trek to either the Eagle or Canyon trails with all your ski equipment and boots on, but as long as you know that and are prepared to hike a little bit, it ceratinly beats driving and loading everything in your car at the base!! We would highly recommend Mammoth and this unit met all our expectations and then some. Thanks for a great stay, Alex. We hope to be back soon!
Owner response:Since Matt posted this review, I've been getting a lot of questions about the walk up the hill to the ski trail. It's shorter and easier than parking in the 15 minute zone at Canyon Lodge and walking up the stairs to the ticket counter. And it is MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL! I hope that clarifies. THNX!!

I have skied Mammoth for 35 years and this is the BEST location....Period. We skied down to Canyon Lodge in the morning and skied back to the condo for lunch and at days end. It was so nice not to have to walk a long distance, drive, or catch the shuttle bus to ski for the day. We had two families staying in the condo and everyone was comfortable. The photos of the views do not do it justice, you are high up in the forest and can see the ski runs, lodge, and beyond. The attached garage is very handy, keeping your car close for trips into town. We will be back for sure, and I highly recommend this condo.

Great location for ski in, ski out. Skiied untracked powder before lifts opened. Owner is easy to work with. Everything is as portrayed on web site. Roomy, comfortable, and great views. For those wanting to cook, as we did, the kitchen has all you will need!

We had a wonderful stay at the condo! It was very comfortable and clean. Access to Canyon Lodge was impressive and easy. It was perfect for our little group. After hitting the slopes all day we enjoyed cooking meals, the fireplace, and hot tub. And waking up to the view in the morning was the best motivation to do it all over again.
