Location: South Zone, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexican Riviera, Mexico (25 minutes to Puerto Vallarta airport)
Accommodations: Condominium, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 2-4)
Our home is located in a quiet, private and gated condominium site, located a short 10 minute bus or taxi ride from 'Old Town PV' just South of the Conchis Chinas area. Buses, taxis and a small convenience store can be found very close by. These services are available most all hours of the day except late nights. Bus rates to town are 5 1/2 pesos per person; the taxi rate to 'El Centro' (downtown) is 55 pesos (taxi/bus rates occasionally change and vary to different areas in PV - rates are posted in most all hotels). We regularly walk to town, about 45 minutes, have breakfast and browse around...good exercise and fun!
Our home is approximately 1300 square feet, including a confortable balcony overlooking the ocean and spectacular sunsets. Floor to ceiling windows line the ocean side of the apartment....have an latti, coffee or fresh squeezed orange juice while you watch schools of dolphins swim by in the morning and fishermen make their daily catches! We see whales go by too! In the evenings, the pelicans fly south to their nightly roost.
Both bedrooms have king sized beds, and newly remodeled bathrooms. Also, our updated kitchen has all you need if you want to 'cook in' or you can go out to one of PV's fine, and many inexpensive, restaurants. Our log book tells of the many good and not so good restaurants available.
Maid service is available twice a week or more if you desire.
All you need is your toothbrush, bathing suit, shorts, sandals, and shirts to make your stay in Puerto Vallarta easy and fun!
There is access to a sandy beach in front of our complex. Some of the best snorkeling is available right in front of our building!! One other wonderful amenity is an oceanfront patio great for sunbathing or watching sunsets, etc.
For other 'action', you can take a bus for 5 1/2 pesos and ride either South to Boca (about 20 minutes) or North to town (about 10 minutes) to two of the nicest beaches in Puerto Vallarta.
Playa Los Muertos, in 'Old Town PV', offers fun sunbathing, a sandy beach with chairs with palapas for shade, the vendors (the mall that comes to you) and safe swimmming as well as many excellent beachside restaurants. Go parasailing, riding the 'banana boat' or just sit, read and relax and watch the world go by...it's truly a wonderful afternoon.
Go South to Boca to an beautiful beach, not nearly as crowded and have breakfast, sit in the sun, swim or take a ponga (24 to 28 foot boat with a surrey cover for sun protection) and visit the shorelines, see the homes and beaches not accessable by road. Your driver has all the equipment for snorkeling and knows the best places to go...another well-spent afternoon.
Or go north to Punta Mita to go whale watching....another ponga trip for a couple of hours, then sit on the beach, have another excellent meal in one of the local restaurants at Punta Mita, then take the bus home. This trip takes a bus ride about 1 1/2 hours each way (50 pesos each way!) but its a great day!!
Downtown PV features many art galleries and fun stores with some neat Mexican made artifacts. Stop by a street side restaurant, have a soda or beer and watch people. PV has some of the most interesting people in the world!
The hotel next door can arrange nearly any trip you want: fishing trips, sunset cruises, rental cars, day trips, etc.
There are so many things to do in PV, you won't be bored!
