Our previous guests say it best: "We had a large group and rented three units. We found that we all spent most of our time in yours. We cooked here - you have everything we needed. We listened to music here. We hung out here because it's comfortable and cozy and tropical. We will be back."

Another family told us: "We rented two units, one for us and one for our son and his fiancée. After two days, we moved the "kids" in with us. They spent all their time here, so why not?"

We love our Maui home and want you to feel the same way. We, and our housekeeper, are obsessive about taking care of it. It's updated (no old pressboard cabinets here), fully stocked with linens, towels (including beach), spices and herbs, napkins, coffee filters, tea, plastic wrap and foil, beach chairs, an umbrella, totes and coolers, books, and movies. There's even a portable crib for your little one. Forgot your toothbrush? We have extras. We've tried to think of everything you might need.

The queen memory foam mattress set was new in 2008, as was the dining table and chairs. In August 2009, a new hide-a-bed sofa with a high quality mattress arrived along with two new occasional chairs. The washer and dryer are a year and a half old. The stereo is new and has a docking station. We're an end unit so are a bit larger than most units and have a/c in the bedroom, not typical in the Vista.

Of course, you have access to the three pools, six tennis courts, and three sets of grills that the Maui Vista provides. And, best of all, you are just steps away from one of the best beaches on Maui, Charley Young.

We've been asked why we keep our prices so low, don't charge a cleaning fee (unless your stay is very short), and don't have add-on charges for additional guests. Our philosophy is to try for a win-win situation for us and for you. We want to rent our condo and want guests who will care for it as if it were their own. You want to vacation in a lovely place and want it to be affordable. We try to meet both of our objectives.

Aloha!

We're Hawaii residents - we live in Keaau, Big Island, just south of Hilo Town. We moved here from the Seattle area (go Mariners!)a few years ago. Stafford is retired, or as retired as one can be when building a house in Hawaii. Nancy teaches special education part time.

We love Maui, it's our favorite vacation spot. We bought this condo to enjoy ourselves and to share with friends, ohana, and you.

We bought at the Vista because it's in sunny Kihei, the grounds are beautiful, the cost to buy and consequently to rent to you was reasonable, and the beaches are oh so close.

    • We came to Maui to visit our daughter who lived in Kihei. She recommended we stay at the Maui Vista since it is only 5 blocks from your apartment. After looking at the different rental units, we selected Nancy & Stafford's. Their unit was perfect. It had everything we needed to enjoy a day at the beach and make dinner. Next time we visit her we'll will stay here again. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

    • Hi Nancy and Stafford We where very happy to stay at your inviting, clean,looking Condo in the Maui Vista. We where overwhelemed with the availabillity of resources. Kitchen fully compleet, except for our own needs. Bathroom equipped with tootpaste, toothbrushes, soaps and even beauty supplies. Washing machine in good working order and clean. The Condo is in walking distance to beaches and, stores. The staff very helpful and friendly. We have nothing else but good things to say about your Condo, and the Maui Vista. We will highly reccomended to our friends.

    • We live in Canada and visit Hawaii once a year in July for a month or so. We stayed at various places and finally settled in Maui, Kihei. It is dry, no rain, well watered so that is full of lush vegetation. But the weather is great When you see a ring of clouds around Haleakala and rain all around, Kihei has a "hole" in a cloud and it is bathing in sunshine. This condo was our home. Real HOME. Three weeks we felt like we were living at home. You can not imagine how Stafford and Nancy equipped it with ALL you might possibly need, and much more. Extra beds, extra lanai and beach chairs are carefully stored all around, every corner of empty space has something for you. Two large beach coolers, two sun umbrellas, plenty of beach chairs, towels...all you need to bring to this place is yourself and nothing else. And with washer and dryer, you can pack really light. The position of the condo is the best we had so far in Kihei. It is on our favourite of all Kamaole beaches - Kamaole One. All the things we love in Kihei are at walking distance on both sides. Snorkelling is amazing on the beach corner, but if you want better, some of the best tours to Molokini start from Kihei boat ramp which is, again, short walk from the condo. You walk from the beach 3 minutes to the condo, past beach shower, across the street, then past swimming pool Maui Vista and its shower, so you have a chance to rinse sand from everything and keep light carpets in the condo, clean. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need, bed is amazingly comfortable. No bugs, no pests of any kind, building is well taken care of. Do not buy detergent for washer before you come to condo, upper condos in Maui Vista are required to use “low suds” detergents, condo has plenty, and it is also available at the reception in the main Maui Vista office. Perfect place to retreat from Haleakala, Hana, beaches…..we felt so sorry when we had to leave. Looking forward to our next visit to Maui Vista 1225. Mahalo Stafford and Nancy! Aloha!
