Beautiful Casa Bella is located just four blocks from Parque Centrasl in Antigua and only two blocks from the main artisans and food markets. The house sits in a gated/guarded community and is only four years old. The colonial style, lovely antiques and fun art work add to the charm of this house, which includes all the conveniences of home.
The two large bedrooms upstairs share a spacious master bathroom with shower and tub. The master bedroom has a queen bed, large walk-in closet and front and back patios. The second bedroom has two twin beds that can be made into a king. It also has a large walk-in closet and a beautiful view of the volcanoes, one of which is active and can often be seen burping out smoke. (see the 2nd video!)
The bedrooms open on to a covered patio and large rooftop patio. Enjoy the garden below, the potted plants & porch swing, while gazing at the magnificent and everchanging sky around Volcon Agua to the south. This view is stunning!
The two downstairs bedrooms have the same bed configurations as the two upstairs, except they each have their own bathrooms with walk-in showers. These bedrooms share access to a beautiful back garden and a lush central garden with a pila fountain.
All bedding is 100% cotton. Each bed is provided with a light and fluffy natural down comforter.
Garden and hanging plants surround the patios along with tasteful art and colonial antiques. The indoor-outdoor living is easy to get accustomed to, as the mild year round temperatures invite the visitor into the fresh sun shining air. There are cozy couches on the patio and table and chairs, making it easy to transition from indoors to outdoor living and breathing.
The kitchen is fully equipped and has a small colonial dining table for four. There is a large dining room (seats eight) and living room with couches and seating designed for relaxation. The style is elegant, yet Casabella still has a down home comfort feel. It is imbued with an atmosphere of color, light, openness, and beauty. This is a truly wonderful house to escape to!
The housekeeper cares for Casabella Monday-Friday: makes the beds, cleans the bathrooms and maintains the casa. Her devoted attention to the tile floors keeps them fresh and looking like works of art! The house is also child-friendly, with baby changing tables, baby gates, and high chairs.

What a better way to share our love of Antigua with family and friends than to have our wedding there?! Much to our surprise, we soon had 19 people joining us for our special day -- and needed to find a place for several of our guests to stay. Luck was on my side when I happened upon Casa Bella on VRBO! One never knows what to expect from online photos, but as soon as we walked in the doorway of Casa Bella, we felt like we were home. The house is incredibly warm, tastefully decorated and just enough out of the center of town to be quiet, yet safe. Robin was very accommodating and helped us coordinate a catered dinner upon our arrival, as well as transportation for some of our guests who arrived early. Virginia kept the house spotless, the laundry done -- and was a wonderful Spanish tutor for my new father-in-law. We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful place to stay and can't wait to return!Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.

Our extended family had the pleasure to stay for 1 week at Casa Bella. Kudos to Robin for she has created a VERY comfortable and spacious home with ample indoor and outdoor areas - it is the perfect base to situate yourself while in Antigua. Once we arrived (Reuben the driver picked us up from the airport), we were able to get around everywhere on foot. The website pictures does not convey the beauty and warmth of Casa Bella. Every day we looked forward to enjoying time here, whether enjoying coffee in the am on the terrace overlooking the volcanoes or viewing the nighttime stars in the quiet of the evening. Virginia the housekeeper was unobtrusive and kept the place immaculate. We were thrilled and delighted with Casa Bella - it is a treasure and anyone that has the privilege to stay here will be better for it. Casa Bella - we will return!Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.

My wife and I stayed four nights in Antigua at this house. It was very large. We spent most of our time in the kitchen and living room, which was cozy. A maid came each morning. The house was very welcoming and if we return, we hope to stay there again. It is a very short walk to all the sites of Antigua.Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.

We recently spent two weeks at this home, we had a wonderful time, the house is clean, lots of space, with bedrooms that are neat, nicely decorated and roomy for two, each with its own bathroom! It would have been nice to have a private master bathroom (shared with the room next door), but it was still very nice. Close to the market and if you like to walk, you can walk pretty much everywhere. Nice gated community too. We'll be back again, hopefully soon:)Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.

We loved our stay in this beautiful casa. The layout makes it perfect for a large family gathering. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. We had no problem putting on a full Thanksgiving dinner here. The furniture is comfortable and there are wonderful art and craft treasures everywhere you look. It really is a home away from home. Virginia keeps the casa spotless and is a wonderful cook as well. The location is very convenient to the mercado, the grocery store, many excellent restaurants and Parque Central. Our month visit wasn't long enough! We are already planning another stay.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.

The first thing to be said is that the photographs accurately reflect the quiet grandeur of this small mansion. After being here for two days, I decided I would be happy to live in Antigua IF I could live here. A most beautiful house, with all you could need for comfortable living and perfectly situated- close to everything but not noisy. Virginia looked after us beautifully and was wonderful with our 1 year old Grandson. Thank you Robin for allowing us to share your beautiful home. We would also like to recommend the wonderful restaurant Como Como where we dined twice.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.

I spent 3 weeks at this wonderful house during the month of August. The house was so comfortable and convenient to all that Antigua has to offer. Robin was very responsive and helpful during our stay at her house. The property was very clean and well-maintained and child-friendly. The views of the volcanos from the second story patio were just beautiful. I hope to go back and stay there again soon!Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.

I recently spent two weeks in Casa Bella with five good friends. The home is more lovely than the pictures depict and it is obvious that it is well loved by its owner. The kitchen is large and a good gathering place at the end of the day. We used the dining table nightly and relaxed in the large living room. I particularly liked the openess of the home and the soft breezes blowing through all of the rooms which are large. While there I fell in love with Antiqua and hope to return one day in the future. My plan would have to include staying at Casa Bella.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.

I came to Guatemala for Februrary and March 2011 to do research and brought my family with me. Over the 2 months we were there, my parents, parents-in-law and friends also came to visit. Everyone thought this was the most beautiful, comfortable home and perfectly located - close to the market, grocery store, and walkable to everywhere in the city. We enjoyed the rooftop terrace, the views of the volcanoes from our bedroom, the flowers in the couryard, and sitting around the bright dining room visiting for hours. We especially appreciated the safety of the community and the friendliness of the neighbours. My 4 year-old daughter walked the dogs of our neighbour in the afternoons with another little girl who was visiting for 2 months; my 2 year-old son ogled the construction trucks working on a house nearby and was often allowed to sit in the driver's seat on morning breaks and honk the horn. And the men at the gate were so kind, phoning us when the fish man from the coast would come by on Mondays so we could buy fabulous fresh fish, or encouraging us to climb onto the gate house roof to get a better view of the Easter processions as they went by. Another highlight was Virginia, a lovely person as well as hard-working housekeeper and excellent cook who everyone, especially my children, immediately liked and learned most of their spanish from. Robin was able to connect me with Alejandro to drive me in and out of the city at least once a week, and he made these trips safe and enjoyable. It was a trip of a lifetime for our family and a large part of that is due to the comfort, safety, and beauty that is part of this home. We hope to return, but may have to book far in advance, as this home is a real favourite for people who also try to return every year!Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.

Our visit for six weeks was a marvelous experience. Part of the time our families joined us, and the house worked positively to accommodate everyone from age seven to seventy seven. A short walk to town from the safety of our gated enclave was a joy. Robin and her staff went out of their way to make sure that we had a pleasant stay. We would love to visit Casa Bella again in the future.Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children.
