Villa Sereno defies description; it is truly unlike any other accommodations in the desert. Every detail has been attended to, from the crisply ironed, 1,000-thread-count sheets, to the plush sofas around the outdoor fireplace, to the five acres of lush, sprawling lawn that surround the villa. The best part? You get this five-star resort—and its extravagant outdoor living area—all to yourself, for what is likely to be your most relaxing vacation yet.
Elegant, romantic, and inviting, Villa Sereno provides a picture-perfect backdrop for your next romantic getaway, family reunion, or corporate retreat. The three-bedroom, three-bathroom villa sleeps up to eight guests in its lavishly outfitted bedrooms. We also have two casitas adjacent to the villa that can accommodate up to 18 adults. Between the villa and the casitas, there are six full bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own TV with satellite cable, and all of the furniture and linens are of the highest quality. Every time you walk through the house, you’ll notice some new detail, such as the multiple horse show trophies on display.
The kitchen area practically deserves its own listing. The indoor kitchen has windows all along one side that look out onto the pool area, giving the space a bright, open feel. You’ll find several sets of high-quality knives, every spice and seasoning you could ever want, All-Clad pots and pans, a Keurig coffee maker, two ovens, and more. Outside, a second kitchen area offers an enormous Viking range, barbecue, professional-style bar, refrigerator, and more. Between the two kitchens, you’ll have everything you need to throw an epic barbecue or elegant dinner party.
The outdoor living area is anything but ordinary. The pool is flanked by waterfalls and a fire feature, and the hot tub is the perfect venue for watching the sun set over the San Jacinto Mountains. You can also enjoy the panoramic views from one of two plush seating areas, one of which has a fireplace. Kids and adults alike will love the outdoor game area, complete with air hockey, pool, and ping-pong. We also have a four-hole putting green with a sand trap that will challenge even the best golfer in your group.
The five-acre estate is also home to us—the owners—and our Arabian horses and household pets. Some guests are initially uneasy about this arrangement, but once they are here, they realize it’s actually one of the best features of Villa Sereno. Instead of being 100 percent on your own, as you are with most vacation rentals, we act as your personal concierge. Upon your arrival, you’ll get a full tour of the property. Should you have any questions after that, we are easily reachable, located next to the stables approximately 50 yards from the villa. As longtime residents of the area, we have plenty of tips for where to eat and what to do during your stay.
One of our guests described Villa Sereno as “the Disneyland of horse ranches.” We have a full-time groundskeeper who ensures that the property looks (and smells!) like the luxury resort it is. We typically let out two horses at a time to graze, so it’s not unlikely that you’ll wake up to one of our four-legged lawnmowers chomping away at the grass next to your car or hanging out near the pool. If this is a problem, simply let us know—we’re happy to keep the horses out of your way.
Nestled in the Coachella Valley one block from the Empire Polo Club, Villa Sereno feels a world away, but we’re actually very close to some of the area’s biggest attractions. PGA West and other premier golf courses are minutes away, and the nearby towns of La Quinta, Palm Springs, and Palm Desert offer a myriad of restaurants, high-end shops, and day spas. Of course, you could easily spend your entire vacation relaxing on the estate, if you prefer; other than groceries, which we can stock upon request, you’ll have everything you need right here.

My son and I spent a weekend recently at this lovely desert estate... great comfort and luxury in a friendly atmosphere. Fun having horses cruising around interacting with us... my son loved playing in the pool, and we ate like royalty. In advance of a conference in Palm Springs, 15 of us decided to rent this property for one night and two days in June! It truly was a wonderul experience - everyone had a fantastic time and truly loved everything about the property. First off - the organizing: A big thanks to Diana and Jennifer who basically did virtually everything for us. We had three wonderful, catered meals; all of our snacks and booze were pre-purchased and waiting for us when we arrived; and both of them were wonderful hostesses/bartenders/storytellers when we were there. Secondly - the property: This property was perfect for what we were looking for. It is a very private oasis that pretty much has everything you need. > The pool and hot tub were great and the perfect temperature > There are a ton of outdoor games (billiards, air hockey, foosball, putting green) and tons more (volleyball net, croquet, horseshoes, baseball gloves etc. etc.) in the 'games bin' > The outdoor bar and kitchen facilities were great and well equipped > The main house is beautiful and easily slept 8 people comfortably > The casita was a great place (16 bunks in total) with 2 separate bathrooms Thirdly - the Ambience: If you are looking for a very private property, with tons to do, then this is it. There is a great music system that plays throughout the property (satellite radio, iPhone/iPod etc.). There is lots of space to spread out to enjoy the entire property. There are great outdoor areas (pool, tons of grass, outdoor couches etc.) to enjoy. And ... there is a great view of the mountains Finally - the Unique Experience: The entire experience was very unique and hard to replicate at just any property. Having beautiful horses on site to watch was great, but even more fun was having the horses loose on the property interacting with the guests. Literally, we would be sitting at the outdoor bar, with the horses right beside us. Obviously this may not be for everyone, and Diana would take care of this if this is not your thing, but for our group, this was a huge piece of making this a unique experience. We aware all pretty sad to be leaving - this stay was a ton of fun for everyone involved. I actually told Diana that I think she is underselling this property as it is such a unique, peaceful, beautiful and yet energetic place. Again - everyone has different preferences, but having Diana and Jennifer take care of everything was perfect for us.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

February 2012 An AMAZING 5 day getaway with friends and our horses for a memorable cowgirl clinic! The beautiful grounds were lush and the home was warm and inviting. Everything we needed was there no reason to leave the property. The barn was clean and well maintained and our horses were well taken care of! Steven and Diana were amazing host and hostess we felt right at home. I would recommend this property for a vacation getaway for horse lovers or not! The Polo fields are close and you can catch an exciting Polo event. Im looking forward to our next clinic later this year!!! LUCKY! It is the only word that describes our finding this location. We plan many trips a year so I have a fair share of horror stories but this is not one of them. I figured if I had a great one I should tell people. Our group of friends recently held a reunion and we were very fortunate to get to spend it with Diana & Steve. We had 23 but the property could easily accomidate a larger or smaller party. Everything we encountered was better than described, we never even left the property! There is something for everyone & everyage. The pool & the outside kitchen are my favorites but, the view is a close third. The accomidations were very well appointed & the mattresses are the most comfortable I have ever found in a rental property. The kitchen...wish mine looked like that, everything you could possibly need to cook for a large group and still have fridge space left over. Seriously, we have yet to have experienced such lovely hosts. Not invasive at all, in fact we went looking for them! Steve knows all the golf courses & had a small green down by the large outdoor fire place & game tables. Which the guys loved & Diana makes a mean Margherita. If your real lucky Steve will give you the secrets of the "Green Egg". It is perfect and if Steve or Diana ever reads this, THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!!!!! We hope to stay with you again. The weekend of December 10th, my family and I had the amazing opportunity to stay at Sereno Ranch. The ranch has everything you could possibly imagine to make everyone, of all ages, happy... It's is so peaceful, and relaxing, but fully equipped to be entertaining as well. The house is beautiful and well maintained. We came to the ranch with all our family to have a wonderful time with our children and grandchildren. It was all we wanted it to be. Everytone had a marvelous time enjoying everything on the ranch. The horses were incrediable as was the barn and all the land around it. We would love to experience this again and perhaps next time take our friends with us. Steve is an excellent cook and treated us all very well. He even smoked our turkey for Thanksgiving which was the best. Merry ChristmasRecommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

This home is amazing, not only was the service impeccable but the property had everything you could ever want! I would not recommend going any where else! My family and I are so glad that we chose Serano Ranch as our vacation destination in July. Our experience was wonderful. We awoke each day to sunshine and a view of the ranch surrounded by majestic mountain ranges and the beautiful Arabian horses which reside there. The ranch itself was truly a "Gentlemen's Ranch", Five Star in every way from the beautiful luxerious home we inhabited to the most gracious hosts who were willing to fulfill our every wish. My husband enjoyed the putting green while the kids enjoyed the pool and spa and numerous games and activities. Me, I spent a great deal of my time relaxing and visiting with the horses. I can't wait to return and have shared my experieince with our church who may do a retreat there.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

A spectacular time was had by all when we stayed at this Oasis for a week! The awe inspiring sunsets were truly breathtaking, and the ammenities were plush and inviting. Our kids enjoyed the numerous Table Games and Lawn Games, as well as the Pool and Putting Green. The best part of the property were the beautiful horses that resided on the well maintained grounds. They are quite a site, and the owners let us feed and bathe the horses- a first for all of us! I would definately reccomend this prperty to groups that want to experience first class lodging and exceptional service. Would have to say this place was magical. The grounds are so large and green. You have gorgeous horses in the background make you feel like you are one with nature. A cooks dream kitchen fully equipped to cook dinners for your whole party. A gorgeous pool with fire lining the top of the pool, very romantic. Fun toys: air hockey, table hockey, putting green, outdoor music. The house is totally luxurious and up to date. On top of an amazing vacation the owners of the property were so helpful, sweet and generous.
