Welcome to The Villa St. Stefan. A unique Oasis in the City of Seattle on Capitol Hill. Only 2 blocks from Volunteer Park in the Historic part of Capitol Hill. It was built in 1929, Rooms are spacious and light filled with hardwood floors dressed up with oriental carpets. The original Spa like bathroom has leaded glass arched windows overlooking lush majestic Palm Trees. Very European, with all original tile, spa tub for your relaxation.
In your spacious lounge, living area you have a brand new leather sofa where you can read, relax or watch television, COMPLETE WITH WIFI.
You can set at your table with your Seattle's Famous Coffee, or sip a glass of local wine while working on your laptop or just trying to decide what you want to do. So much to do, So little time...... There are large windows that let in more than ample sunlight.
If you don't wish to dine out in one of the many great restaurants, many in close walking distance, you can prepare your meal in your very own compact European inspired kitchen. There you will find everything you need but the food.

What a wonderful alternative to being cooped up in a hotel. Staying in your vacation home rental apartment was a joy!! Rooms were spacious , well equipped and the bed," oh so compfy ". More importantly though was your personal attention accommodating our schedule.
Access to the garden patio was a plus.....thank you Gordan.
I also loved having Volunteer Park so close. I visited it daily for walks & quiet time.

WE PURCHASED OUR HISTORIC 1927 BRICK HOME IN 1989. WE HAVE ENJOYED IT AS OUR PRIMARY RESIDANCE UNTIL LAST YEAR WHEN WE DECIDED TO TAKE ON SOME OTHER ADVENTURES. WE LOVE THE FACT THAT IT IS CLOSE TO EVERYTHING BUT STILL IS PRIVATE.

This was a perfect place for me. I could work on line and keep up with my business. I had a car but really didn't need it as it was walking distance to everything. I felt like the owners really cared about their guests. It was very private which is something that is important to me. I stay in Seattle for business 2 or 3 times a year and plan on this being my home away from home.
Recommended for:
Better than I expected, wonderful location, wifi was an added bonus.

I had a fabulous time and loved my apartment. It had everything I needed and more. The location is minutes from everything. It is very cozy and the neighborhood is classy and has old world charm. Volunteer Park was only blocks away and it was beautiful. I will come back next year. Thanks Gordan for all you information on the area. You have a great place.

Thank you Gordon for your assistance. A peaceful and light filled front room, a serene bedroom, extreamely comfortable bed and I was quite cozy. The bus stop, grocery and numerous resturants were an added bonus for the stay.

My husband and I are repeat guests of this beautiful old home, which has 2 separate 1 bedroom apartments located on the second floor. We love the location, the spaciousness (we've stayed in both apartments, though I confess I love the one with the pink bathroom best), and vintage decorm and the hominess of it. The bathrooms with their old-fashioned tubs and beautiful tile are large and wonderful, as the photos show. The beds are comfortable, the apartments are clean, reasonably quiet, and did I mention the location? Walking distance to a plethera of restaurants with a wide range of prices on Broadway and just a couple of blocks from the beautiful Volunteer Park. I attended a conference in downtown Seattle - it was an enjoyable 20-30 minute walk to and from the conference site though bus lines are also nearby. The owner, Shireen, stays in the background, though I had no trouble contacting her for various reasons. I found her flexible and accomodating in meeting our sometimes odd schedule and requests for late check-out. I would have absolutely no problem recommending this property to any of my friends!
Recommended for:Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+, romantic getaway.

My husband and I travel a lot. We live in Portland, and enjoy many trips in the Northwest. When planning a four night stay in Seattle, we wanted convenience to shopping, close in to the city, bus line close, and near to a walking park. This property met all of those needs. We only drove two times during our stay and enjoyed an off street parking spot for our car. I would have only three negatives on this stay. The owners have no hospitality to share with guests. When we arrived was the only time we saw the woman owner, and when asking about a light bulb to replace, well it never happened. No reading lamps in living room, and no heat. I am fairly particular about cleanliness and have no problem paying the cleaning fees attached to properties, but do expect it to be clean. I wouldn't say this was a stand out for cleanliness, but that is just my high standard. We wouldn't recommend this property to other friends, mostly due to the lack of hospitality from the owners. But location was good.
Owner response:We try to give our traveler complete privacy. Unlike a B&B we try to stay in the background. We would be very happy to give visitors more attention if they want that, most don't. Please go to our first page and read some of the comments of past guest. One of the most important things to us is that are place is spotless and it is. We have had hundreds of very happy visitors. Location is the best.
