The spacious villa is the perfect spot for two couples, with two large, identical master suites. One of these is contained in the private separate bedroom house, both are decorated in harmonious Caribbean colors and air conditioned for sleeping comfort.
The villa provides outdoor trellises, festooned with bougainvillea, areas of shade for the sun sensitive, and full sun for the sun worshipper. The lower covered patio includes a bar sink, refrigerator, and adjacent gas grill for barbecues by the spa. The upper covered outdoor patio provides a perfect vantage point for watching ships sailing Sir Frances Drake Channel as you enjoy a gourmet meal.

Why the Owner Chose Coral Bay
St. John is such a beautiful island. Two thirds is National Park with many gorgeous unspoiled beaches like famous Trunk Bay. Coral Bay is the 'quiet' side of the island, home of famous Skinny Legs bar and grill and the relaxed yachting community - St. John as it has been for decades. The atmosphere may be laid back and casual, but there is plenty to do - great restaurants, shopping and activities including quick access to fabulous beaches.

We first came to St. John with friends in 1988 to escape the Northern winter, rented a house in Coral Bay, and fell in love with the island way of life. After about 10 more trips, we started looking seriously for a place to build our own special sanctuary, a "down island" view, balmy evening breezes, and the magic of those special clouds that reflect all the colors of the sunset. Because we had rented numerous houses, we knew just what we wanted for ourselves and our guests. We try to get to St. John whenever we can to relax, recharge and just "chill."

It was our fifth time staying at Villa Margherita and, as always, it was perfect. We love the facilities there and felt very comfortable during our stay. We'll be back.

I have seldom stayed in such a nice property and I've stayed in several on St. John. The layout of Margherita Villa is extremely conducive to a two couple accommodation, and it has the option of the pull-out bed in the ante room of the bedroom in the main house. We spent many a relaxing meal and cocktail hour on the open air balcony with the great view of Sir Francis Drake Channel. The hot tub was relaxing. A quieter and nicer house would be hard to find.

Villa Margherita is the perfect vacation destination. We stayed for almost two weeks in March. The house was ideal for our family of four to share with friends. My wife and I had one master bedroom and the kids slept in the den on the twin beds. The other couple had the separate private master suite bedroom house. On most days we would go to one of the beautiful North Shore beaches, only a ten minute drive, for a few hours in the morning. It was great to have a cooler, sand toys, beach towels, and sand chairs available at the Villa. On a few days we went exploring the island, our favorites being the Reef Bay hike with the National Park Service and Annaberg ruins. After the morning out we would come back and relax at the villa during the afternoon. The kids enjoyed the hot tub as well as watching one of the many movies they found in the Villa collection. I was able to get updates from work thanks to speedy wireless broadband connection. We were excited to find out our AT&T cell phones had great reception. For dinner we went to some of our favorite restaurants on Coral Bay, or cooked at home. The kids enjoyed helping our gourmet friends prepare delicious meals. Most evenings we ate on the upper patio overlooking the Sir Frances Drake Channel, where we would sit and visit and enjoy the view for hours. We will definitely be visiting Villa Margherita again!

Our second visit to this stunningly beautiful island and wonderful villa - well worth the long haul from the UK. Great facilities and many happy memories, especially sipping champagne on the balcony whilst looking across the channel as the sun sets after a relaxing day on one of the incredible beaches. Heaven!

The villa is absolutely stunning, as is its location on St. John. It's like waking up each day inside a postcard! We've done our best to hit every beach, bar and restaurant and we can honestly say there wasn't a bad one in the bunch. This has been a fantastic place to honeymoon and we hope it's not the last time we make it down here!

What a delightful holiday! We visited the Villa with another couple and the accomodations were ideal - privacy for all, beautiful views, very comfortable and clean, and the attention to detail reminded us of a spa get-away! There's nothing better than enjoying a cup of coffee or a cocktail overlooking the Sir Francis Drake Channel! Spectacular beaches (we explored a different one every day) and great restaurants. St John is the perfect island and Villa Margherita is the perfect retreat! We are already planning our return!!!

I've been to Villa Margherita several times and I absolutely love it! Beautifully appointed and spacious. Love the large spa and downstairs bar. So relaxing! It's close to my favorite beach, Maho Bay. Great restaurants, Chateau Bordeaux, Miss Lucy's, and of course,Skinny Leg's, are minutes away.Can't wait to go back to the Villa!

My husband and I have stayed at Villa Margherita five times over the last six years. We've stayed at other houses on St. John, but this one is our favorite. We appreciate the amenities provided, including the washer/dryer, barbecue, and air conditioning. The house is a great place to relax and enjoy the magnificent view of the channel. The hot tub is perfect for soaking under the stars with our favorite music playing on the outdoor speakers. Villa Margherita is close to Coral Bay, with some of our favorite restaurants and hangouts. Truly a luxurious getaway.
