"Thank you for allowing us to experience your little slice of heaven with my husband and myself. This was our 5th time vacationing on St. John. We celebrated our 20 year wedding anniversary. Your villa was beyond fantastic! The decor, the cleanliness, the organized book you designed for your guests, the privacy your home offers, the landscape, the view looking over towards Tortola and the technology that you have is five stars. (Husband loved the WiFi you provided) Thank you so much Larry and Marguerite. A week that we won't ever forget. When we return next year, we may just have to "rebook" your villa, if available. Just outstanding!!! P.S. Did I mention that we wore the beautiful, soft white robes that you provided (with your Villa logo) each and every night? My husband and I had such a fabulous vacation at Villa M in November, 2012, that we are already reserving a week for November, 2013. The villa was exactly as advertised, squeaky clean, and the service from Windspree was excellent. We highly recommend Marguerite and Larry's special home for your next St. John adventure. It has a great location, convenient to everything in Coral Bay, but there is privacy also. Decks and views are great, kitchen is well equipped, living spaces are comfortable. Our family has been coming to St. John for 19 years. Needless to say we love it. We have been staying in Coral Bay side of St John for the last 7 or 8 years and have stayed at Villa Margherita 3 times now.What a great play to say. Access to the north shore beach's is minutes away as well as Coral Bay eating/drinking places. Their home is perfect for a family of four to six. After a long day at the beach you will be ready for a little A/C. The villa has it in the main living area and two master bedrooms. The views of Bordeaux mountain as well as the BVI's is spectacular. If you get up early in the morning and look over the mountains after a rain you will likely see at least a double rainbow! Kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils and the grill outside is perfect for preparing steaks/shrimp/fish/burgers, you get the idea. Make sure you rent a 4wheel drive. You will need it for the steep driveway. Dont worry you will get the hang of it. It's a lot of fun! Villa Margherita was a beautiful home, very private setting surrounded by lush gardens. The home was very comfortable and well equipped. The views of the Francis Drake Channel from the upper terrace were breathtaking. The proximity to the town of Coral Bay and the north shore beaches was ideal. I have seldom stayed in such a nice property and I've stayed in several on St. John. The layout of Margherita Villa is extremely conducive to a two couple accommodation, and it has the option of the pull-out bed in the ante room of the bedroom in the main house. We spent many a relaxing meal and cocktail hour on the open air balcony with the great view of Sir Francis Drake Channel. The hot tub was relaxing. Villa Margherita is the perfect vacation destination. We stayed for almost two weeks in March. The house was ideal for our family of four to share with friends. My wife and I had one master bedroom and the kids slept in the den on the twin beds. The other couple had the separate private master suite bedroom house. On most days we would go to one of the beautiful North Shore beaches, only a ten minute drive, for a few hours in the morning. It was great to have a cooler, sand toys, beach towels, and sand chairs available at the Villa. On a few days we went exploring the island, our favorites being the Reef Bay hike with the National Park Service and Annaberg ruins. After the morning out we would come back and relax at the villa during the afternoon. The kids enjoyed the hot tub as well as watching one of the many movies they found in the Villa collection. I was able to get updates from work thanks to speedy wireless broadband connection. We were excited to find out our AT&T cell phones had great reception. For dinner we went to some of our favorite restaurants on Coral Bay, or cooked at home. The kids enjoyed helping our gourmet friends prepare delicious meals. Most evenings we ate on the upper patio overlooking the Sir Frances Drake Channel, where we would sit and visit and enjoy the view for hours. We will definitely be visiting Villa Margherita again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Our second visit to this stunningly beautiful island and wonderful villa - well worth the long haul from the UK. Great facilities and many happy memories, especially sipping champagne on the balcony whilst looking across the channel as the sun sets after a relaxing day on one of the incredible beaches. Heaven!Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

The villa is absolutely stunning, as is its location on St. John. It's like waking up each day inside a postcard! We've done our best to hit every beach, bar and restaurant and we can honestly say there wasn't a bad one in the bunch. This has been a fantastic place to honeymoon and we hope it's not the last time we make it down here!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

What a delightful holiday! We visited the Villa with another couple and the accomodations were ideal - privacy for all, beautiful views, very comfortable and clean, and the attention to detail reminded us of a spa get-away! There's nothing better than enjoying a cup of coffee or a cocktail overlooking the Sir Francis Drake Channel! Spectacular beaches (we explored a different one every day) and great restaurants. St John is the perfect island and Villa Margherita is the perfect retreat! We are already planning our return!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

About the owner: About Us: We first came to St. John with friends in 1988 to escape the Northern winter, rented a house in Coral Bay, and fell in love with the island way of life. After about 10 more trips, we started looking seriously for a place to build our own special sanctuary, a 'down island' view, balmy evening breezes, and the magic of those island clouds that reflect all the colors of the sunset. Because we had rented numerous vacation homes, we knew just what we wanted for ourselves, and our guests. We try to get to St. John whenever we can to relax, recharge and just 'chill.' Come see for yourselves why this place is so special!

Why Coral Bay, St. John? St. John is such a beautiful island. Two thirds is National Park with many gorgeous unspoiled beaches like famous Trunk Bay. Coral Bay is the 'quiet' side of the island, home of famous Skinny Legs burger place, and the relaxed yachting community - St. John as it has been for decades. The atmosphere may be laid back and casual, but there is plenty to do - great restaurants, shopping and activities including quick access to fabulous beaches.
