The Chalet in Berkeley Springs was a classy get away for winter break. With great scenery and a warm campfire outside we always felt cozy. When it got too cold outside we went in the hot tub or played games near the fireplace. The bedrooms were spacey and had grand furniture. The Porch had a Tiki bar where the adults could stay while the kids were swinging on the hammock right by the porch. The Basement includes a ping pong table when flipped over a pool table, it was perfect for evening entertainment. There are also games located around the house such as cards, Candyland , Clue, Apples to Apples and many more. There are many TVs – in fact there is almost one in every room. The TVs get many adults and kids channels and show movies hourly. Outside feels the best of all! The wind blowing the trees whistling on the back of your neck filled with cool weather is an amazing feeling! Taking walks will really brighten the mood of any day. The cabin is located right outside of town where you will be greeted by the cozy local shops and elegant diners. I had a great time with my family and I cannot wait to go back sometimes in the summer!

My husband and I stayed there last September and had a great time! We saw deer walk through the yard every evening, and some wild turkey. The chalet was very clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. We played some rousing games of ping pong, enjoyed the hot tub and jacuzzi. We watched the moon rise every night, very beautiful. We made s'mores and sat by the fire pit. Berkeley Springs is a nice little town, very friendly with unique stores and art galleries. Nearby Cacapon State Park has skeet shooting, which was a lot more fun than I ever thought it would be. Turns out I'm a natural, ha ha! Also hiking, boating, swimming, and horseback riding. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. Love this place and hope to come back someday!

Two families with small children spent the week at this perfectly private mountain getaway. There is enough to do around the area so that you don't get bored, such as swimming at the beach at Cacapon State park, wading the springs and Roman baths in Berkeley Springs, eclectic shopping at the springs, and plenty of local geocaches on beautiful trails. We found a local herbalist at the Berkeley Springs Farmers Market on Sunday Morning and subsequently visited her place, Quail Hollow Farm. Such hospitality! Met the owner, Jackie, on arrival, and received a phone call on the last day to make sure everything went well. An understated amenity- the deck has a gate so that the little ones could play outside without us having to worry where they got to. This house fits three families in a way that allows plenty of privacy for each, yet has spacious gathering areas for games, tv watching, or just plain chatting and board game playing on the side porch. The only thing "missing" is internet access, but that is quite the point when you visit this sanctuary. Highly recommended.

My family has been going to Berkeley Springs for family reunions since 2000. We started out in humble beginings, staying at two of the cottages in Cacapon Park. We stayed there for 3 years, then started staying in Vacation Rentals by Owner. This is by far the best all around accomadations we have ever had, the cleanest, the most comfortable (beds were great), and easy to get to, close to lots of things to do. Me, I just wanted to relax, and it was great. The scenery is magnificient! We will highly recommend this great home. There were 13 in our group this year. We normally have 5 other people, but lost one Aunt in 2009 while on vacation in Berkeley Springs. We now have one who has Parkinson's and cannot travel, so our group has gotten smaller. But that is life. Every thing we needed was there, except our food. We cook lots of southern meals, and had all the kitchen tools we needed. We always carry a few things, like large pots, a griddle for pancakes, and an iron frying pan for frying chicken. We eat very well! We finish up our stay by all having breakfast at the Cacapon Lodge. They always remember us! We left with very fond memories, and a desire to return in the fall 0f 2012! For my family I thank you for providing a perfect retreat in the most wonderful mountains God created.

Eight of us traveled to Berkeley Springs for a long weekend in mid-March. The home was very clean and comfortable in an idyllic setting. The view from the back deck was breathtaking, we all enjoyed morning sunrises while listening to the many different bird sounds (including wild turkeys!). The hike on the property to the creek and meadow clearing was worth taking, we saw groups of deer springing through the meadows.. a very pretty scene. The evenings were spent in the hamock, around the fire pit and relaxing in the hot tub. The house was the perfect size for gathering as a group, or finding a quite spot for private time. The beds were notably comfortable and we all felt well rested. The owner was very informative and easy to work with. We loved our stay at this home and would highly recommend it.

We loved this place there were three couples in our group so we all had our own king size bedroom and bathroom. The view was great from the deck and the hot tub, each day we were there the deer would come and feed in the side yard. The trail that is on the property is a great little hike. The place was very clean and well maintained, every thing was as advertised. It is a very private location. We have all stayed at other cabins and homes in several states and we all agreed this was one of the top picks out of all of them and we even missed the peak fall colors but the wonderful chalet made up for that. We all feel you can not go wrong if you book a vacation or a weekend at this lovely location which is close to a lot of nice attractions. Berkeley Springs is a nice place to spend a day, we also visited the paw paw tunnel and had lunch at the Panorama cafe. Shepherdstown was a great place to visit if you go be sure to have lunch at the pub in the middle of town the people there were great and we really liked the outdoor patio. So if you are looking for a great place to spend time with friends or family(kids would like this place also) look no more this place is it. Thank-You Jackie From Bob Sue Paul Amy Frank and Janelle.

Our large group of 13 had a fantastic, week-long vacation at this wonderful chalet! I highly recommend this home! It was spacious, modern, comfortable, very clean, well designed for children & seniors, and loaded with activities to keep everyone busy & happy from my three & five year old children to my teenaged nephews. The house has wonderful gathering areas on the screened-in porch or wrap-around deck & paver patio below, a hot tub, pool table/ping pong, and fire pit. The property is very private, yet only a 10 minute drive to Cacapon State Park for golfing, swimming, paddle boating, horseback riding or hiking. The nearby town of Berkeley Springs was charming with a nice touch of history thrown in for our July 4th getaway. The owner was very attentive and helpful, even scheduling a private observatory outing for our group. You can't go wrong with this home rental! Its a great family getaway.

Every year a group of friends and I stay at a cabin in Berkley Springs for New Years. We have stayed in a number of other cabins (all lovely) but this was by far everyone's favorite! The chalet is beautifully decorated, spacious without losing it's cozy feeling and has a great kitchen which is wonderful if you are cooking for a group. We had a tremendous time and loved everything from the comfy beds and ping pong to hiking down ridges and star gazing in the hot tub. If you are looking for an exceptional place for your next stay I can't recommend this spot enough! We'll be back for sure.

What a great time! Even in early December, when it was really too cold to be out for long and use the excellent outside facilities, we had a great family get-together and delayed Thanksgiving. There was plenty of room for the eight of us; each couple basically had a private bath, and we made good use of the brand-new kitchen, the game room and the electronics. We had one great night of stargazing over the weekend, and enjoyed visiting Berkeley Springs and Hancock, MD, including the C&O canal. Mostly we just cooked, ate, and enjoyed each other's company, with the spectacular views in the background and occasional walks down toward the hollow. Thanks again for your help and excellent preparations. We'll be back in warmer weather or snow season!

We noticed the gorgeous views the moment we arrived, and we were greeted by the owner who took my teenager around to show him the trails for hiking. She was very thoughtful and had everything we needed plus extras such as a drawer with popcorn and treats :) Enjoyed the games, ping pong, and lasso golf set which provided a fun afternoon with extended family! Hot tub was ready and very relaxing in the evening after enjoying dinner on the tiki patio. Beds were very comfortable and inviting after a day at the Apple Butter festival in Berkeley Springs!

We had a wonderful week! The house was absolutely beautiful, super clean and extremely comfortable. We went on some great hikes, enjoyed some time in Berkeley Springs including great meals at Oasis, Lot 12, and Panarama View. We loved the hammock, the hot tub and the gorgeous views. With young children it can be challenging to find a vacation house that is clean and comfortable and this house exceeded our expectations. Jackie was a gracious host, greeting us, making sure we knew the lay of the land and making calls around town for us to gather information on some of our interests. I would highly recommend this for a totally relaxing vacation or weekend. There are also plenty of great outdoor activities when our kids are older. It was terrific!

Property is brand new with very nice amenities and is extremely well maintained. The owner is great to work with, with an obvious concern for renters' enjoyment. The rental description includes hot tub on deck which was not yet available at time of rental but owner worked with us on price as a result. Would definitely rent again!

My husband and I stayed here for a few days in late August and used this brand new home as a base to explore the surrounding area, hike and picnic at Cacapon State Park, bike the C & O Canal path, eat at the fabulous Lot 12 restaurant in Berkeley Springs, drive to see the Panorama view, relax in the jacuzzi tub, play cards in the great screened-in porch, have a campfire outside the home overlooking the expansive view, stargaze at night, and cook wonderful meals in the well-stocked kitchen. The home has 5 beautiful Pottery Barn style bedrooms, luxurious bedding, very comfortable seating, and is beautifully decorated. The house is adaptable to couples or families with kids as the two rooms with twin beds push together to make a king -- the other 3 rooms have king-size beds. There is also a hide-a-bed in the loft. The basement would be a great place to hang out and play pool or ping pong and there is a bar and microwave down there for snacks. The tv's had not been installed yet when we were there, but there was a tv placed on the hearth we could use (satellite tv). They are also installing a brand new hot tub which would be wonderful in this location -- such a gorgeous view. The house is on a ridge and not part of a development so is perfect for anyone who wants a relaxing getaway. The owner is super friendly and is glad to answer any questions.

My extended family rented this home in August for a weekend get together. This was the nicest home we have ever rented in any location! The home is exceptionally clean and is decorated in Pottery Barn decor. Alot of thought and care went into planning this rental home. The views and quiet location are perfect yet we were 5 minutes from the State park and 10 minutes to the town center. The kids enjoyed the ping pong/pool table and the adults loved the tiki bar, large deck and screened porch. The beds were extremely comfortable and we all woke up feeling great! The kitchen is well stocked for cooking or you can choose to go into town for great meals at the many restaurants. The family went horseback riding in the State Park and our kids still talk about how much fun it was. We can't wait to go back to Berkeley Springs and highly recommend this property!
