And, if you really don't want to be bothered with the hubub of typical vacations; if you are looking for the peace and quiet that only a unique location like this can provide, then this is the house for you.
You will have all of the privacy in the world, while being only minutes away from the two most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica: Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada. (These beaches have nothing on them as the first 200 yards are a nature preserve dedicated to the Olive Ridley turtles.)
This house was built in 2004 and has 2 bedrooms: one with a queen size bed and one with 2 twin beds. There is a futon in the living room which sleeps 2 also. It has a fully supplied kitchen with a 8 foot wooden bar with stools and custom, hand made cabinets, a dining room, a living room, all open with stunning wooden vaulted ceilings. The bathroom has a spacious, 8 foot by 5 foot shower stall. There is an 8 foot by 5 foot vent/skylight and ceiling fans which keep the house comfortable year round.
There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer on the lower level where the maid would be happy to do your laundry (for a small fee). The house is equipped with a safe to store your valuables and there is an outdoor shower to wash the salt off after a day at the beach.
The house is surrounded on 2 sides by a fully tiled deck which provides the most stunning views imaginable. It includes maid service once a week and has a gardener who maintains the fully landscaped grounds one or two days a week (depending on the season).
The house is equipped with custom-designed and built steel grates, insuring your security, and is placed on over an acre of heavily wooded land, 200 feet above sea level, at a truly unique location.
On this lot there are banana trees and papaya trees which offer you fresh fruit year round. The lot is frequented by pisotes, ant eaters, iquanas, howler monkeys, hummingbirds, toucans, and a host of other wildlife, for your viewing pleasure. There is also a path down the front of the property, and it is only a 10 minute walk to either Playa Guiones or Playa Pelada. Both front and back yards have gated entrances with the front exiting right on the main road to Nosara.
The house is also equipped with a phone and an internet connection, (now offering high speed internet service) on a separate line, and is managed by Ms. Bobbi Johnson who may be reached at the Costa Rican phone number and by E-mail. The house is available for both long and short term rental. MINIMUM 7 NIGHTS.

Year Purchased: 1990
About the owner: I had been searching for a place to retire for years. During that time I had been to Rio, Mexico (3 times), Jamaica (3 times), Antigua, Puerto Rica, and Costa Rica. This was 24 years ago and Nosara was a distant village where there was one small hotel and nothing else. There were horses tied up outside a local bar! I fell in love with the place instantly and bought my property then for a fraction of what it's worth today. We built the house 15 years later and have been vacationing here ever since. While the area has developed, Nosara is still a hard to get to and remote. Since the coastline has no buildings or development on it (due to it being the residence of the Oliver Ridley turtles), Nosara remains a place of undeveloped beaches, pristine and natural.
