We have stayed at a couple of different homes in the area over the years and found that they weren't quite as described but this place was an exception. The privacy of the beach and the accouterments of the house were the best we experienced so far.. The owner was easy to deal with and very helpful. We especially liked riding our bicycles to the Huntington Beach Pier and having coffee and snacks. The beach is usually calm and a great place for the kids to play, they slept like babies at the end of the day and were right back at it in the morning. All in all it was a great stay and we hope to return next year.
Recommended for:Families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

We've stayed at many beach houses up and down the coast over the years and have found this to be the best overall value. Unlike other "advertised beach houses" you literally walk out your back door onto the sand and into the water. With no boardwalk or public access this place is truly private and quiet. We had plenty of room for our 4 kids and had no worries about their safety. They were able to go to and from the water with no public interaction which really gave my wife peace of mind. The few neighbors we met were extremely friendly. The view of the ocean is incredible especially from the master suite balcony. The outdoor shower was an extra plus for the kids all week long. Overall the place was very clean, bright and roomy with plenty of sunlight. You really dont need to bring much, everything is provided including stuff to build a sand castle! The one thing I would do differently had I known is rent the attached front apartment and treat my parents. If you're looking for a beach house in an upscale quiet private neighborhood without all the summer beach traffic this is it.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.
