This cozy, comfortable cabin is in a lovely setting, a meadow surrounded by pines with a stream running through it and a pond. The chalet is on over 5 acres, and adjacent to 8+ more acres, all accessible to our guests. In this place, there is plenty of opportunity to explore and enjoy the outdoors. If there is snow on the ground, it's a great sledding spot!
The location can't be beat. It's private and very quiet – a wonderful place to vacation any season. Easily accessed from Mi-Wuk Village (4500 feet elevation and just above the snow line) on Highway 108, and only 10 minutes from Twain Harte. Enjoy the charm of Twain Harte, or travel up the mountain to High Sierra attractions like Pinecrest Lake, Kennedy Meadows, and Dodge Ridge Ski Resort. Or drive 30 minutes West to Sonora, Jamestown, or Columbia to enjoy Gold Rush history. Yosemite is about 60 miles away.
The central gathering area in our 1250 square foot cabin is the large updated kitchen, with granite countertops and newer cabinets and appliances. The kitchen has a breakfast bar area, and is adjacent to the dining room, which is next to the living room. The cabin has been recently painted and has newer carpet and laminate flooring. There are beautiful meadow, tree and pond views from many rooms. Enjoy the quiet and the amazing stars at night, and wake up to the sun rising on the meadow!
The cabin easily sleeps 8 people, and can accommodate up to 10. The master bedroom has a California King bed. The first bedroom has a queen sofa bed. The second bedroom has 4 twin mattresses, to be used as needed. The living room has a queen sofa bed. Please bring your own sheets and towels so you don’t have to do laundry before you leave.
The well-equipped kitchen is stocked with basic spices and condiments, and has place settings for 10. It’s open to the dining room, so there is plenty of space for cooking and entertaining at the same time. There is a washer and dryer in the hallway. There is a TV and DVD if you wish to bring movies, along with games and puzzles for your enjoyment.
