WONDERFUL ALPINE MEADOWS WINTER SKI RENTAL
Our newly remodeled condo is located at the Alpine Meadows Ski area, at the very end of the road and next to the Stanford Chalet. Cozy and comfortable and feels very spacious with open beam rooms. This 3 bedroom, 3-bathroom unit with a loft sleeps up to 10 people, without using the living room! Queen bed in master bedroom, 2 double beds (in bunk formation) in bedroom with sleeping loft above (ideal for kids), and twin beds in 3rd bedroom, which can be made into a king sized bed and separate bathroom. There is also a futon in the huge master bedroom, which can sleep an additional 2. All 3 bathrooms are brand new with beautiful tile showers, cabinets and floors, and a washer and dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need (we have had most holiday dinners there for the past 10 years). The living / dining room is small, but cozy with a wood stove and we have a flat screen TV and DVD player and extensive DVD library.
Plus, the location could not be better for a skiing / outdoor loving family, 2 families or group of friends. We chose it due to ease of adults trading off, running home for a hot lunch or any member of the family wanting to leave early and walk home. Zip over to the ski area and back by car, free shuttle or walk. During holiday periods you get to skip the slow crawl up and down Alpine Meadows Rd, and when the road is closed for avalanche control, you'll be skiing. This really is our mountain home, so there are games, puzzles and all the coziness you could want. All in all, it is very comfortable and suitable for groups with or without children. Children's videos and TV are in the loft!
When the snow melts, it is a very peaceful and beautiful home base for your mountain stay. Surrounded by trees and mountains, the bird watching is amazing, wildflowers abound and the hiking-mountain biking trails start literally right out our door. The stables are just down the road, and the famous Truckee River rafting spot is just down Alpine Meadows Rd. The extensive bike trail can also be picked up here.
After a day of summer fun, return to our comfortable abode to relax, barbecue, watch movies on our surround-sound DVD player, check your mail with our free internet. Guaranteed to be comfortable and have everything you need!

This condo is perfect! Adorable renovations, easy mountain access, the best sled hill in North Tahoe around the corner and world-class skiing without all the hassles. The sleeping options are plentiful and comfortable, the wood stove is warm and toasty and being at the top of the Alpine Meadows Road is ultra-convenient. Best of all, the owner is friendly, reasonable, flexible and accessible.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We rented this condo to go ski with small kids. The location is perfect - just a couple of minutes away from Alpine Meadows. Not walking distance with small kids, but still very convenient. The condo is very well equipped, comfortable and well maintained. We were snowed in for a couple of days, but there were plenty of board games to play and movies to watch. :) The owners were very responsive and accommodating. We're looking forward to come back next winter!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

My family stayed in this condo for 3 nights, and we loved it! There was plenty of room for us, the location was peaceful and beautiful, and it was close to our family reunion in Squaw Valley. Our kids loved the fun loft that was decorated with skis, and they also enjoyed watching the kid-friendly movies that were supplied by the condo owners (mom and dad appreciated the break, too!). In addition, it is well-priced, which can be hard to find in the Tahoe area.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

My family and I stayed here for a long weekend to attend a friends wedding. We brought along our 2 kids and had a blast. The condo had so many rooms and beds that my daughter wanted to try out each one to see what fit her best, just like goldilocks. The view from the window seat was fabulous and I only wish it had been cold enough to use the fireplace. There is a great restaurant down the road and it is really close to the river for rafting. Any questions we had, Julie was quick to answer. I would recommend this to anyone.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: The 6 members of the Sigourney family have had 10 years of winter and summer fun in Tahoe. We live in Carmel, CA which is a 5 hour drive to Tahoe. We love both places so much that we happily make the trip back and forth. Both the ocean and mountains offer endless opportunities for outdoor adventure and creating family memories that will last forever.
Why the Owner Chose Alpine Meadows:
We have skied in the winter and camped in the mountains since our children were very young. After years of renting condos in this location, our love for this particular spot made it an easy decision to buy our own. Located at the very end of Alpine Meadows Rd, it is as close to the mountains for skiing, hiking, biking and nature that you can get. It is so peaceful all year round, but affords such easy access to all that Tahoe has to offer (5 minutes to the Truckee River, 15 minutes into Tahoe City and Lake Tahoe and Squaw Valley, 25 minutes to Truckee and Donner Lake).
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
WINTER: Located at the very end of Alpine Meadows Rd, we're first in line on powder days, especially when the road is closed to the rest of the world for avalanche control. Easily close enough to walk to the slopes, run home for lunch or switch off to take care of kids. Avoids all the hassle of driving to ski. Get up...ski....go home and relax. SUMMER: As close to the mountains and forests as possible yet minutes from Truckee River rafting, the bike path into Tahoe City or Squaw Valley, and Lake Tahoe or Donner Lake. The best of both worlds. We love early morning bird watching and lunch next to Bear Creek. The wildflowers are amazing and it is so, so quiet.
