It's central location is perfect for winter visitors to use as their home base as they enjoy alpine and cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, tubing and the fun and friendly mountain community that includes Winter Park, Fraser, Tabernash, and Granby. Summer visitors will enjoy all that the Fraser Valley has to offer, including world-class mountain biking, superb fly fishing, hiking, boating on the nearby lakes, golfing, and a wide variety of shops and restaurants.

The home features three full-size bedrooms, each with its own private full bathroom. In addition, there is a kid's bedroom with two twin beds, and an additional optional bunk room for two additional children (available at an additional charge). Along with the ample sleeping accommodations, the key attraction of the home is its huge and welcoming great room with a large wood-burning fireplace. The great room is finished with stunning real wood treatments and it offers lots of comfy seating for your next gathering of friends and family.

The great room was designed specifically so that relaxing, cooking, and eating all happen in a warm and welcoming single space. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen is huge and, unlike most kitchens, will easily accommodate "too many cooks".

A full-sized bar-style seating area joins the kitchen to the warm and welcoming family room, allowing you and your guests to to always be part of the happenings in this relaxing and inviting space. The great room is truly a place where lasting memories are created as you spend long hours relaxing and connecting with your friends and family. For dining, you'll enjoy the large dining room table situated just off the kitchen.

To help set the mood in the great room, crank up the surround-sound stereo system in the great room and play your favorite XM/Serius Radio stations. Or, Bring your Ipod or other MP3 player along with a standard connection cable and you can easily hook into the system. And/or, bring your own CDs to enjoy. Either way, there's always great tunes to go along with your gathering.

The home, which was designed by the owner and built in 2001, delivers a spacious and well-designed two-story layout that features high ceilings throughout. It is designed with tasteful lodge-oriented finishes and furnishings that will make you feel relaxed and very much at home. The master bathroom features a huge two-person soaking tub to relax in after a long day on the slopes or on the bike.

The 2nd upstairs bathroom features a full-size, two-person steam sauna - perfect for relaxing after a day of fun. Downstairs, you'll love the large Rec Room where you and/or the kids can watch TV or DVDs on the the 42" flat panel TV, complete with a full theatre-quality surround sound system. Or, enjoy a fun video game using the provided Nintendo GameCube gaming system and a large collection of game titles. The Rec Room also provides a wet bar with a large countertop, a sink, and a bar fridge.

The home is also equipped with secure high-speed wireless internet service, so bring your laptop. It also boasts a two-car heated garage and a front deck with great views of the Devil's Thumb area to the east and the Winter Park Highlands area to the north and west. Off the kitchen is a outdoor patio, where you can relax in the summer or cook steaks on the gas grill year round.

The home is set on a hillside one block south of Highway 40 in Tabernash, Colorado. It provides easy and quick access to local shopping, groceries, restaurants, and all resort activities and destinations - Winter Park / Mary Jane and Sol Vista. Also, there's fine dining within walking distance (one block) as well as a convenience store and liquor store within walking distance (also one block).

    • Our group of eight spent Christmas to New Years day at Paul and Sarah's home in Tabernash. What a wonderful stay we had, the home is very warm and inviting with the kitchen and great room being the main stage for memories that will last a lifetime. Every amenity you could want in a home. Clean and comfortable. Looking forward to next season.

    • This is the first time I have left a comment on VRBO, despite having stayed at several places. However, I could not pass this opportunity up after having stayed at such a great place. If you are looking for all the comforts of home in a warm, cozy, relaxing mounain getaway...then this is your place. We went for 3 nights and only ventured out on a couple of occassions. This place is just so relaxing with the roaring fire place, lots of books to read, beatiful view, tv and gaming system for the kids, and did I mention the view. I have driven through Tabernash all my life...always on the way to somewhere else. Blink and you will miss it. Not anymore. Don't pay a premium to stay in a cramped condo when you can rent this for less and be much more comfortable. Contact the owner...I promise you won't be disappointed. Paul...we will be back!
