Casa Azul is in the small village of Esperanza, on Vieques’ Caribbean side, the island’s most popular destination. The Malecon, Esperanza’s waterfront with its restaurants, bars and shops, is a short walk away and there are several small grocery stores that are within walking distance as well. Sun Bay, a large, picturesque beach which is often deserted, is a five minute drive from the house.
Casa Azul is located near the end of a dead end street, beyond which are acres of undeveloped land. Horses—both tame and wild—walk past at all hours. The house has large tiled patios in front and back, which are ideal for coffee in the morning and for listening to the tree frogs at night. The yard, with its decorative wall and lush tropical landscaping, offers plenty of privacy.
Joe and Mimi Popp, our property managers, will meet you when you arrive, take you to the house, and will be available during your stay to answer questions, orient you to the island, and give you tips on what to see and where to go.

We (2 couples) rented this adorable house for 3 nights and wished we could've stayed longer. The location was perfect--just a short walk to the Malecon but with the neighborhood so we felt like locals and did not have to endure the business or noise of where all the hotels are located. The house is well taken care of and the property manager, Joe could not have been more helpful! I would warn people to make sure to shut windows and run the AC or a fan at night since the neighborhood noise of roosters and cars/trucks is quite jarring. But once we took care of the windows we slept just fine and it was still so worth it. We will definitely go back and would recommend this house to anyone!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with young children.
