This two-bedroom, two bathroom luxury condominium is located on the third floor on the Huanacaxtle building of the Punta Esmeralda residential development. It has a large terrace with lots of horizon view and great indoor-outdoor living. The two bedrooms have an ocean view and their own deck. The galley style kitchen is strategically located to afford a double view which can also be enjoyed from the living/dining area, thanks to a northwest facing window that frames the Sierra Vallejo mountains.

I would highly recommend this unit. The gated secure complex has amazing views from every location on the property and quick access to the beach if you do not want to lounge by one of the 8 gorgeous pools! We have a toddler who also loved her time in Bucerias. We stayed a week in April 2011 and did not want to leave. The check in process was easy & they even lend you a cell phone for your use during your stay. The owners were extremely helpful with the booking process as i've never used Paypal before. I can say nothing negative about the whole event! Enjoy your stay as much as we did!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
Lovely condo and resort north of Bucerias

My husband and I rented this condo for one month and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It is the nicest condo resort area north of Bucerias. Very quiet resort with beautiful pools and grounds that were perfectly maintained. The ocean view from the condo is gorgeous. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very spacious and comfortable. The living areas are perfect for 2-4 people. The deck has a nice grill which was perfect for dinners in the evening. The tennis courts are great and there is a nice sized gym. The concierge service was fantastic. Bus or taxi service is excellent into Bucerias or into Puerto Vallarta. Overall a really great place to stay.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children.

We stayed in Tom and Elena’s condo in Huanacaxtle for 2 weeks during the winter of 2010. This is a lovely condo a little further up the hill from the beach, but with the funicular and elevators, it is easy to get around. The grounds at Punta Esmeralda are spectacular, there are many pools to choose from, and always a chair under an umbrella to be found. We spent many hours relaxing by a pool, or on our terrace which overlooks the bay and boasts spectacular sunrises (if you get up early enough). There is also a well equipped exercise room available to guests, and, of course just walking the beach is great too! This 2 bedroom condo is well planned for 2 couples with a huge living area separating the 2 bedrooms with ensuite baths. It is well equipped, clean and secure. The small town of Bucerias is easily accessible by bus or taxi, and has many excellent restaurants…you can enjoy great margaritas while watching the sunset, before choosing a restaurant for dinner. This is the perfect vacation spot to share with friends for a brief respite from the snow and cold of Canada.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+.

Last minute trip out of the cold of Alberta & arrived in warm, sunny Bucerias! Even though our flight was 1 hour late, we were met at the condo by Craig & given all the details of this lovely condo. Was great to get away from all the hustle of the resorts & enjoy a relaxing week away from it all. The accommodations were exacting what we required. 4 adults - 2 bedrooms & baths - full kitchen, dining & relaxing living area. Was great to sit on the deck in the morning & see the sun rise on the lovely bay. The view from the condo was breathtaking! Great to walk on the beach into Bucerias or LaCruz. The pool was wonderful & the grounds were very well kept. Very clean & inviting. Had a great time & would love to return again!

Stayed here with my wife and our two daughters (ages 6 and 2) at the end of June. We loved the idea of a house by the beach far away from downtown Puerto Vallarta, but since we were unfamiliar with the area, we were nervous about just renting a stand-alone house somewhere. This place was the perfect combination for us--our own condo in a beautiful secure complex with nice amenities. The condo (on the 3rd floor) is very nice, well appointed, and has a gorgeous view of the bay. It has air-conditioning, nice showers, comfy beds, a very comfy living room and dining area. Also, the service from Elena and her concierge person was excellent. Elena answered a lot of my questions before the trip, and gave great advice (indeed, "Tacos on the Street" in La Cruz is AMAZING--the best tacos ever), and Craig, (concierge) was very nice in helping us with everything we needed at the unit. Punta Esmeralda is a gorgeous complex--right on the beach, gorgeous pools, wonderful service. They have a charming clubhouse right on the water which serves surprisingly good food at surprisingly cheap prices (we had thought we'd be going into Bucerias or La Cruz for most of our meals, but we had about half of them right there at the clubhouse). We couldn't believe they kept it staffed so well during the slow season (AND you could order by phone and they would bring food right up to your room at no extra charge!). And because it was the slow season, we saw practically no one else at the complex the whole time we were there. We always had whichever pool we chose entirely to ourselves! And the times we went down the stairs to the beach (this unit isn't right on the beach, but just a short stroll away), we had it to ourselves, too. And because the complex was enclosed (with a manned security gate, etc), safety was never on our minds at all. We would have felt differently in a house in the middle of Bucerias (though it's charming, it's still its own town). If I had older kids, they could've explored the grounds without me, and had a grand old time, without a second thought. From the complex, you could walk along the beach to Bucerias (a bit of a hike with small kids, but adults should have no problems). We had a rental car so we could drive into town and/or to the Mega as needed. Still, without a car, we would have been content to stay at the complex the whole time, maybe walking into La Cruz or Bucerias once or twice (or taking a cab if we were desperate). LOVED THIS PLACE!
