WELCOME TO SERENITY ON SUGAR. We've had a beautiful fall with breathtaking color which
means old man winter is just around the corner. Last years record snow fall brought up
lots of skiers and we're hoping for the same this year.
My home is a 3 bedroom/3 bath home with 3000 sq ft. indoors and 1000 ft of decks to capture views of Beech Mt. from both levels. An open floor plan makes this a great home for entertaining with a fully stocked kitchen, granite countertops, stainless appliances and a gas stove for cooking. A newly constructed "morning room" is located just off the kitchen and provides a quiet away space on the main living area.
The house had level entry with handrail assistance for snowy winter days which leads into the kitchen, main living area and a large master bedroom & bath. A gas fireplace with ambiance on/off so there isn't any wood to haul into the house. The master bedroom has a reading/relaxation area, vintage bath tub, separate shower and two vanities provides plenty
of space to avoid being underfoot of each other.
Two exceptionally large guest rooms are downstairs one with a king bed and the other a queen sleighbed. Each has its own full bath with a sunroom/TV area off the king bedroom. The yard has an easy slope for sledding in the winter and relaxing in summer. Exceptional fall and winter views but still plenty of privacy in the summer. A half acre is fenced for dog and child safety.
I pride myself in keeping this a beautiful property and it's not the type of home that sleeps more than 6 people. There aren't any sofa sleepers, bunk beds or air mattresses. There will be additional charges if more than 6 people or animals arrive without prior notice and deposits with be forfeited.
Only minutes from golf, tennis and the ski resort. The ski bus stops at the house to avoid resort traffic and there are plenty of restaurants only minutes from the house. Two grocery stores, video rental and many other amenities. My spa, "Serenity" is half a mile from the house which can turn any vacation into a relaxing experience.
If you are planning a last minute getaway I can be more negotiable with rates or for overniters the house can act as a B&B but you must be dog friendly. Please call for last minute rates.
Regards, Cari

The Unique Benefits at this House
1/2 acre of the land is fenced for dog and child safety. A gentle sloping yard versus a mountain drop off. Lot's of sun, views and great weather. Comfortable and professionally decorated. The house has a great floor plan with the master bedroom and bath on the entry level and two large guestrooms downstairs each with a private bath. In 2009 I added a sunroom/tv area downstairs which leads to new decking as well as a morning room/tv/computer area just off the kitchen.
Owner's Map of Sugar Mountain
Hello,
My name is Cari and I am a year round resident of Banner Elk/ the Village of Sugar Mountain. Originally from Clearwater Beach, FL, I fell in love with this area approx. 10 years ago to open Serenity Day Spa. The first 5 yrs. I was a "half back", but now you couldn't pry me out of these mountains.
The seasons are all spectacular and offer year round beauty. The house is situated at 4500 elevation so the summer climates are pleasant enough that they don't require air conditioning. There are windows and doors opening to the outside from every room that offer spectacular views yet plenty of privacy. The Fall colors and cooler climate make hiking and drives on the Blueridge Parkway breathtaking. Winter skiing on Sugar Mt. offers the best ski runs in the area and the busses stop at the house to avoid parking and traffic lines to the resort which is 3 minutes from the house.
For those who just want to relax, please come to Serenity Day Spa which is minutes from the house, directly accross from the entrance to Sugar Mountain. If I can answer any additonal questions for you, please don't hesitate to call.
Thank You, Cari
