This is a very comfortable slopeside studio with great views of the ski slopes and base area. It was completely remodeled in 2005 with all new kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, and furniture. There is a full kitchen including full size refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher with all necessary cooking and eating utensils. Great for a couple or bring your children and they can sleep on the two twin size hide-a-beds. This unit is on the top floor so it is very quiet.
When you are ready to go out, pick up your skis from the private ski locker and walk 200 yards to the high speed 6 pack lift that will take you to the top of Durango Mountain. Enjoy the typically quiet slopes on your skis or snow board. Take beginner to expert ski or board lessons for yourself and have your children learn from top notch teachers.
The Bears Den is available to watch your infants and toddlers while you ski. At the end of the day, relax at the brand new Purgatory Lodge at the base or enjoy the shops. For more private relaxation, return to the condo and enjoy the views, watch a DVD or VHS movie or surf the internet on free broadband. If you need to warm up or relax your overworked muscles, settle into the indoor hot tub located just down the hall.
For something different, go snowmobiling in the backcountry from walking distance to the condo or go tubing at the base of the mountain in the afternoon and evening. You can cross the street to the Nordic center for miles of cross country trails. If you're really adventurous, you can sign up for snowcat skiing that leaves from the main lodge.
There is definitely plenty for everyone to enjoy. Park your car when you arrive and relax. Everything you need is within a few minutes walking distance.

Very conveniently located! Studio was stocked with all the cooking utensils we needed. The only bad planning on our part was Durango wasn't even open during the week Sao we missed out boarding there. Only 2 hours from wolf creek. Very affordable.
Owner response:Thank you...sorry you missed boarding at the resort. Early season they are sometimes only open for the weekends, depending on conditions. They just openned every day for the season over the weekend. Try us again.

The condo was perfect for us to getaway and celebrate our 30th anniversary. We loved the location and enjoyed the Durango to Silverton Train, shopping in downtown Durango and scenic drive to Ouray. Thanks so much for sharing your condo with us.
