We loved the place. It was perfect. So spacious, everything we needed was there. It is so close to the mountain, very easy. The house is truly amazing. We can't wait to come back...Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car.
Owner response: I am so glad your last last minute vacation was a blast! Next time you are free for a last minute get away let us know it was so easy to get you booked and we would love to have you back. Also we have toys for the kids in summer or winter so remind me and I can leave those out for your arrival. Thanks again for with us and I look forward to hearing from you in the future.

What a great home. We so enjoyed staying at this home. The kitchen was very well stocked and the layout was perfect for our group of 6. We would definantly go again and recommend to friends and family. The ski lifts were minutes away and the 2 car heated garage was a big plus. The owner was wonderful and very available to answer all my questions. The house was very clean and the cleaning lady actually came by mid-week to take the garbage out to the street for us. So FUN!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank You so much for your kind words! We try really hard to make sure the home is worth the time and money you are spending to make the trip and I am very glad we met your expectations. I hope you will think of us on your next trip to Crested Butte we would definitely love to have you back..... Nicole

What an amazing "extended family" vacation! Our group travels to a different slope every year, and your home quickly became one of our favorites. Very convenient location, wonderful amenities, and Nicole (the owner) was SO easy to work with! Love, love, love the bean bags (where can we get some?)! Our only suggestion would be TVs in the bedrooms, as we all like to unwind or wake up slowly with TV in bed. Also, future guests should know that you can drive around the cul de sac and unload your belongings before you give yourself a heart attack going up and down the stairs in that altitude (lol)! Thank you so much for the use of your beautiful home!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Hi Jeana I am so glad to hear that you had a great time and I can't thank you enough for your kind words. I completely agree with you and we do have plans for TV in the large bedrooms however getting things delivered and or bringing them up is never easy. So rest assured if you make it back out way we will have TV in the bedroom hopefully by this summer. Nicole

Our family of four and our small dog just spent our third Christmas holiday at this wonderful home on Mt. Crested Butte. The owner, Nicole, has gone to a great extent to make this house a home for all who are lucky enough to stay here. Each year our experience gets better as we feel "at home" when we arrive. We have been renting through VRBO for the past five years and our expectations as a "renter" are high. This home has always exceeded those expectations as it is beautifully furnished in rustic chic, a well equipped kitchen with high-end appliances makes it easy to cook great meals and the comfortable beds allow for a wonderful night's rest. The views of the "Butte" are spectacular and location to the free bus line to the mountain base and town are a short walk down the drive and across the street - in other words, location, location, location! My sons are 21 and 18 and snowboarding on the mountain is always a great experience for them, especially this year with all of the snow over the last couple of weeks. More importantly, this house has ALWAYS been clean each time we have stayed here. If something is wrong or broken, the property manager or Nicole, the owner, have always been quick to respond by phone or email to help solve any issues. Honestly, we would not stay here year after year if this home was not up to our expectations. I regret the experience of the previous renter but as an experienced renter myself, I believe it is the "renter's" responsibility to know as much about the property as possible and any and all information about the location, possible weather conditions and preparedness, and to ask questions of the owner to insure the safety and well being of all guests and that it is a good fit for ALL guests. We have only the best memories and experiences through staying at this beautiful home in Mt. Crested Butte and will continue to return in the coming years!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, sightseeing.

When we first arrived to Mt. Crested Butte we had a hard time finding the home due to the snow storm that had come in. The street up to the house was not plowed and once we were directed to the street, could not get up the street because of the snow. I called the owner of the property and left two messages but never received a call back. We had a 16 month old with us and needed to get her in the house, so my husband carried her from the bottom of the street up to the house so we could get her fed. As my husband went back down to the car there was a policeman on the phone with a tow company to tow our car and wouldn't allow him to get the food up to the house to feed our daughter. My husband temporarily moved the car to a parking lot and began carrying our luggage down the street towards the house. Luckily a neighbor stopped and helped my husband load our belongings into their jeep and up to the house. The first thing I noticed when I walked into the house was the massive amounts of white dog hair all over the furniture and floor. I spent the first half of my day vacuuming the furniture so we could sit on the couch without getting dog hair all over us. I was beyond disappointed at the upkeep of the house. There was dried food on most of the dishes I pulled out of the cabinet and the dust on the remotes and hard surfaces was disgusting. I shouldn't have to show up to my vacation to clean a house that should have already been cleaned, considering the cleaning fee you are required to pay. The "safety" gates were a joke. They were broken and wouldn't even lock, so we had to use the oversized chair to block the stairway to the garage so our baby wouldn't fall down the massive flight of stairs. The heated floors in the master bathroom did not work and there were blown out light bulbs throughout the house. The cover to the top the blinds was laying in the middle of the floor in both the living room and master and there was dog hair in the washer and dryer. The property manager was very nice as well as the surrounding neighbors. We loved the town and the mountain so we will be back for sure- we just won't be staying here.Owner response: I am very sorry you were not happy with your stay. You said that you called and left a messages but that is not the case there was no message on my cell/home and no call to my property manager. We found out about the driveway issue because my manager stopped by the next day to shovel the deck not because you called us. I have great communication by phone text or email and if you booked with me you know that is the case. Yes our driveway is steep because we are on a mountain that gets snow there is not much we can do to prevent snow/ice on the driveway. Crested Butte is getting some amazing snow right now and on your arrival date the snow from the previous day had melted and froze something that is beyond my control. My property manager made it up the driveway in her Subaru and my neighbor you mentioned that helped you made it up the driveway with your stuff so how bad was it really ? Had you actually called or emailed I would have been able to provide you with a secure place to park and or been able to call our plow to get back out. I was informed by my property manager that she put down gravel the next day based upon your conversation with her and based upon your review we now have a 100 gallon bucket of gravel on the driveway should cars have trouble in the future we will also periodically be salting the driveway as well. At no time during your conversation with my property manager did you complain about the home not being cleaned to your expectations. Had you told her of your concerns when you came out to complain about the driveway I would have paid for an extra cleaning during your stay to fix any issues you were having. Again if I ever receive a call text or email from a guest I will fix any issues right away however there was no communication during your stay so I was unaware of any issues. Regarding the baby gates, the real issue here is that the home is decorated like a mountain home and the poles at the bottom of the stairs are real wooden logs. To my knowledge baby gates are not made with attachments to secure to real wooden logs. I am unaware of any other home in the area that even provides baby gates and we provide attachments that help with this issue. Lastly had this guest actually left a message with me or my property manager to let us know of any problems they would have been immediately addressed and or cleaning fee refunded. Should you have any questions or concerns about this review please feel free to call or email me.

This was an awesome house that we rented for our family in Crested Butte, well appointed and beautiful. Loved everything about it. We couldn't have wished for a more wonderful place to stay for a few days in the summer, we didn't want to leave. The kids loved the big bean bags and the WII in the loft. Thanks again and we hope to come back again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Thank you Nicole for your hospitality and sharing your wonderful home with us. We are VERY picky about our accommodations and this home exceeded our expectations. You really can't beat the location; just a short walk to the based of Crested Butte and a short drive to town. We have two small children and they had so much fun staying at this kid-friendly home. 5 Stars!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was our first trip to CB, and I'm so glad we chose to stay in this beautiful home. You can literally see the peak of Mt. Crested Butte from the couch - right through the window - so surreal! An unexpected bonus was the giant bean bags. Fun for my son to sit in while playing the Wii, and big enough and comfy enough for my hubby to nap on! The only thing I didn't realize was how close neighboring homes would be, but it was no biggie - we never actually saw anyone go in or out of the other homes. Nicole was really easy to work with, we'd recommend this place for sure.Owner response: Thank you so much for the kind words, we really hope that if your ever back in Crested Butte that you will stay with us again!

Nicole's house was wonderful. It was clean and spacious. One of the closets was huge! The views were spectacular. The proximity was ideal. In the morning, you could walk down the driveway and catch the bus that ran every 15 minutes to the slopes. The ride is about 5 minutes. Very nice when everyone has their gear. Otherwise the walk was about 7-10 minutes. I suggest you ride the bus home and not walk with all the gear. It's a gradual hill and not very much fun after a hard day of skiing. When you want to head to town, catch the same bus and transfer to another - very easy. The kids really enjoyed the loft with the enormous bean bags. The 2 little kiddos wanted to sleep on them :-) This house would be great anytime of year. I know we will be back.Owner response: Thank you so much for the kind words I love to hear when our guests have a great time! Please let me know if you make it back out way I would love to offer you 10% off as a return guest and because you took the time to give a review. Thanks again for choosing our home !

My husband and I, together with two other couples, rented this property over MLK day weekend. We had a fantastic time, despinte the "snow draught", and had no trouble finding enough runs to keep ourselves occupied. The house was as described and perfect for our bunch. The wide open family room/dining area/kitchen was where we spent most of our time and was nice and comfy. There were plenty of dishes and pots and pans in the kitchen so we didn't have to constantly re-wash things. We cooked breakfast and lunch in the house and went out for dinners, which worked very well. The bathrooms were nice and spacious and the bedrooms, while not large, were comfy enough. The house was very clean and well maintained. The ONE complaint our group had about the house was that the pillows in the two bedrooms upstairs were not very comfortable -- easy enough to fix, especially if you're driving and can pack a pillow in your car. Apparently, the house is a stone's throw from a shuttle stop that will take you to the base of the mountain, but we didn't use it. We just walked (it's about a 5 minute walk) to the place where we rented our equipment (Crested Butte Sports), left our shoes their and then took the little cart to the base of the mountain. We could easily have walked that part too, but since we were in ski boots and the golf cart was there, we hopped on. At the end of the day, we stored our equipment at CB sports and then took the short walk home. Though not ski-in/ski-out, it was incredibly easy. Nicole, the owner of the house, was wonderful to work with. She helped us trouble shoot part of our trip planning and gave us some great advice. Overall, we had a wonderful time, really enjoyed the house and would love to come again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This was our second Christmas to spend in this wonderful house. We enjoyed the many conveniences that the home offers especially the short walk to the free shuttle that takes you to the mountain base and on to the town of Crested Butte. The house was very clean and has a well stocked kitchen. The views of the "Butte" are spectacular from the large windows in the family room and the deck. Our dog, Muffy, was especially comfortable and felt right at home as we took great walks to the lodge and she enjoyed being in such a "dog friendly" environment. Our teenage boys really enjoy the many trails to snow board and I highly recommend taking lessons at the ski school at the base. We enjoyed eating at several great restaurants and spent Christmas evening eating at the Wooden Nickel (YUM!!!). We will definitely be back to spend more fun times staying at this great house.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This house and the owners are wonderful! They went above and beyond to accomodate special needs for our arrival and departure. The woman that cares for the property is awesome as well, she even had her husband drive my husband to the shipping facility in town to help him take some packages. None of these requests were required of them, but they were very helpful and nice. The location of this house is perfect. It is right next to base camp, and the bus stops right out front on the opposite side of the road. The house has all the anemities you would need, they even had spices, coffee and laundry detergent! I'm a little sad we won't be able to re-visit this year as we are expecting a baby around that time. We will however, be back next year and I am so looking forward to it!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car.
Owner response: Michelle thank you so much for the kind words! Our thoughts are with you in the new year and best of luck with the new baby. We look forward to welcoming you back when the young one gets a little older.

We had a great time on our family ski vacation! The house was wonderful! Very open Kitchen/Living Room/Dining room with a nice wood burning fireplace and great view of the ski area. Good access to the free shuttle just across the street and shuttle picks up every 15 min and drops off right at the base of the ski area. Could choose to walk to the base area but we found that the shuttle was very convenient, especially when trying to carry ski's/boots/poles/etc. All 3 bedrooms had nice comfortable beds. The kids loved the huge over-sized Bean Bags in the loft and chose to sleep on the bean bags instead of the pull-out sofa. The over sized heated garage was great and it was nice to keep our ski equipment in the garage and separate from the living area.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

This home is perfect! The wii and flatscreen upstairs in the loft kept the kids entertained for hours. The place is a short walk to the base, and there are tons of great places to eat in town. Furthermore, shuttle busses that take you to the base or into town stop at the bottom of the driveway all day long. Very convenient. The driveway is promptly plowed whenever it snows and the owners stocked the place with lots of firewood. Very nice and cozy and well worth it!
