The home was perfect for us. It was easy to find and the welcome sign was a nice tocuh! Not only was there enough space for everyone, the home was very warm and inviting. It was nice having a home away from home. We also used the location as a staging/meeting area to experience what Bozeman and Montana had to offer (Chico Hot Springs, Yellowstone, Virginia City, Lewis & Clark Caverns, Big Timber and Livingston Rodeo, and much more). I have already recommended the home to other family members who plan on returning to Montana. The home was used as a place to stay for relative guests for my wedding. One of our anniversary ideas was coming back to this home. We had a great time... Thank You!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We were in Bozeman for vacation as well as to take care of elderly family members. The house was a great setup for 3 generations. Everyone had plenty of room. The kids (ages 2 to 9) had a blast. The hot tub was a complete hit. We had a great stay. It truly felt like a home away from home.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Being from MT, I wanted to share the beauty of Bozeman with my girlfriends. Looked into hotels in the area but decided a house would be so much better for our group. This house was PERFECT! It was exactly as decribed, well stocked, and Kathi & Monti were so enjoyable to work with. The garage was a life saver for us as it snowed 7 inches the day we arrived (Monti actually greeted us when we arrived as he was shoveling our driveway). The hot tub was amazing after a day of skiing, easy to use and allowed for some awesome swimsuit snow angels. I really could go on about all the amenities we enjoyed but I think you should stay here and find out for yourself!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you Rebecca! We are so glad you had such a good time. K & M

I can't say enough positive things about the Bare's House, it was so clean, warm and cozy. It was a perfect place for our 2 families to converge for Xmas and still feel at home. The kitchen was better equiped then mine. The whole house is nicely decorated, with 2 living areas to allow for TV and non-TV familiy time. The hot tub is the icing on the cake after a day of skiing. Thanks Kathi for sharing your home with us!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My family stayed in this home for a week while exploring Bozeman and the surrounding area. It was convenient, impeccably clean, and the owners could not have been nicer. Plenty of room for the kids, and a nice place to hang out. Especially the hot tub!! We went to the fair & the city pool. We walked to the museum and on gorgeous walking trails. Great restaurant, Sola, right up the street.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

My wife and I celebrated 20 years of marriage at the Bare's home. It was warm, cozy and very clean. The home is outfitted with all the amenities one would expect for twice the price. The Bare's are wonderful people who are the ultimate hosts for a trip to Bozeman. Even better, there are two great restaurants within walking distance of the home (The Sola Cafe and Lemongrass Thai). Bottom line...I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone looking for a wonderful vacation in Bozeman!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We were in Bozeman for a family wedding. Your house was appreciated by all 7 adults. The number & layout of the bathrooms and bedrooms were fantastic. We were also pleased by the solid floors - no squeaky noises to wake us up. The younger folks were impressed by the hot tub – particularly the lighting! Because we moved about the area independently of each other, the coded (keypad) lock was very nice – no need to exchange keys. Thanks so much for making the house available. We hope to be a guest in your home again when we return here. Sincerely, Richard & Dorothea L., Burke, VA Kim & Ethan V., Denver, Co. Heather & Jeremy L., South Riding, VA Jason L., Burke, VA P.S. Because houses like this take up more ground, you rarely see this type of floor plan in new homes back east. It’s a nice layout.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

I live in Bozeman and when my family came out for a week to visit, they stayed at Kathi and Montie's house. It was far beyond our expectations! Clean, comfortable and stocked with every amenity you can think of. Perfectly located next to The Museum of the Rockies (they went back 3 times), plus plenty of great eating. The hot tub is glorious, the beds all comfy, the neighborhood quiet. One morning was chilly with socked-in rain and we were perfectly happy to stay put, drink extra coffee and relax. The Bare's have really gone above and beyond with attention and caring details. I don't hesitate to recommend their house to anyone. They're also very nice people!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Thank you very much for allowing us to rent your property--it was perfect!! We would not have been able to find anything nearly as impressive at a hotel. The listing is very accurate and the property very well cared for. The owner was very helpful in answering questions and giving us the information we needed there is a cool home atmosphere and we got to use a hot tub.:) Plus it was within walking distance of where we needed to get which we enjoyed because we drove a long way the previous 2 days and really didnt want to walk.:) Thanks again highly recommend it!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car.

About the owner: My husband was born just over the hill in Livingston, Montana. I arrived in Montana via Iowa and Colorado. We own a retail business in Bozeman, Bare's Stove & Spa. Bozeman has been a wonderful place to raise our children. Now that they are grown, and we have capable people managing our business, we traveling more. We often stay in VRBO homes. We decided to list our home as a Vacation Rental in 2008. It has been a great experience for us and our guests. We have to admit our home is the nicest we have ever stayed in. We even stay here ourselves when we have family in town.
Why the Owner Chose Bozeman:
We know what we like in a vacation rental - being a fan of VRBO. We have worked hard to make our home a very comfortable, clean, home- away-from-home for you, your family and friends to relax and enjoy.
Please let us know if you have any questions about the area. We have helped with such things as arranging caterers and bicycle rentals, provided information on local ski areas and bus routes. Also where to find little known places like the American Computer, Children's Museum and Pioneer Museum. Just let us know what you like & we can point you in the right direction.
