BIENVENIDOS - WELCOME TO CASA LADERA - A SPECIAL PLACE IN PARADISE!

Casa Ladera is our two level, comfortably furnished tropical style home located in the friendly seaside fishing village of San Francisco, known locally as San Pancho, just 25 miles north of Puerto Vallarta. Our hillside house overlooks the beautiful mile long, palm-lined, white sand beach of Playa San Francisco with unobstructed views of the ocean, the sunset and the mountains to the south. A quick stroll down a cobblestone lane brings you onto the beach and a half mile walk takes you into the village of San Pancho.

The upper level consists of a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living area, laundry room and half bath. Downstairs are two air-conditioned bedrooms each with en suite bath. Both bedrooms have king size beds which can be converted into two individuals for friends or family traveling together. Spacious patios and a plunge pool provide ample space and enjoyment for outdoor living. Casa Ladera is complete with everything to make your vacation enjoyable and hassle free.

Our staff, Joel and Livier, provide housekeeping, garden and pool care and breakfast preparation if you desire. They are also available based on their personal schedule to prepare and serve you a memorable dinner at an additional cost. You will find many good restaurants in San Pancho and the nearby town of Sayulita. There are also two restaurants located in our residential area; Wahoo's at the Costa Azul Hotel and MarPlata the new, upscale restaurant located just across the street.

You can easily spend the day in Puerto Vallarta enjoying the shopping, dining, sporting and other amenities but then quickly retreat to the leisurely pace of village life. There are also many activities in the immediate San Pancho area including jungle walks, beach combing, horseback riding, surfing, whale watching (in season) or we recommend trying our favorite sport - doing nothing! Whatever you decide a vacation at Casa Ladera is an uncrowded, unhurried and unforgettable adventure on Mexico's blue coast.

PLEASE NOTE: IF THERE ARE MORE THAN 4 IN YOUR GROUP ASK ABOUT THE AVAILABILITY OF RENTING THE CASITA!

La Casita is a self-contained unit on the same property and has custom king size bed, bath, kitchen/dining and large covered patio with spectacular view. With Casa Ladera and La Casita we can accommodate up to 6.

"I want to apologize for taking so long to let you know how fabulous our visit to San Pancho was in March. Your home and the beautiful little town on the beach were as wonderful as we could have imagined. The house was absolutely perfect for our needs and Joel and Livier were excellent. I'm sorry we didn't have enough time to take advantage of their cooking skills. The week was as relaxing as any I have ever spent and Casa Ladera was a big part of that. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Probably the biggest disappointment came from the banana tree getting knocked over by the critter that came by each night to munch on the bunch of bananas that were ripening. Thanks again!"

"Tom and I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful stay at Casa Ladera. It is a very sensual place with the multitude of colorful birds, flowers, and coconut palms. There were many pluses to our stay. Waking up to beautiful surroundings every day just helped us get off the wheel very quickly. Waking up to the waves crashing on the shore, the birds, flowers and trees, just expedited the entire winding down period. The weather was wonderful and we got some fabulous sunset pictures that we are blowing up onto foam board to hang in our home. It rained the last morning that we were there, and we were able to photograph the rainbow. Just beautiful. The plus de resistance is Joel and Livier. We liked Joel from the start. He was kind enough to prepare breakfast for us almost every day. Communication did not seem to be a problem and it was a pleasure to have Joel around. He is extremely professional and a wonderful cook. We had less time with Livier, but the time that we did have with her - you can see that she is as special as Joel is. For the first time in several years I felt very sad to leave. I have not enjoyed myself on vacation or relaxed that much in the last 10 years. It was a blessing. We are sorry that we missed you & Lee. We know you are there now and we are in spirit. Muchisimas gracias por todo."

"We loved San Pancho! And of course your house was great. You have the perfect location as far as we are concerned. The only thing we were disappointed in was that so much of the town was closed down for the summer. There were some restaurants and shops I had been looking forward to checking out, but it was all closed for the summer months. After a couple days, we really didn't mind, though. A few of the things we loved and suggest you recommending to future visitors: El Estar - We had massages there. Excellent! Gallo's Pizza - We went on Thursday night to see Frank's presentation about the turtles. The pizza was GREAT and Frank was a hoot! The work they are doing in San Pancho with the turtle nests is very interesting, and of course we bought t-shirts to support the cause. Taco Stand - The one a block or 2 up from El Estar on Egipto - Excellent! Mega in Bucerias - Best grocery store ever. That thing has everything you could need. And it's so nice and new. The map you gave us was super helpful for us to quickly learn our way around. Thank you so much for all of your help! You were so considerate in helping make our stay a good one. We will definitely be back!!

    • What a great spot! The comforts of both the Casa and Casita were exceptional and the views breath- taking. As a family of 5 we were able to do and access everything we wanted. From the village restaurants, the beach in front of us and other local beaches - especially the hidden Punta Monterrey - we were able to fully relax, play and swim to our hearts' content in complete tranquility. What a difference from Cruise Boats, All Inclusive Resorts and busy Metropolitan Centers. Private, Safe and Spectacular!! Don't Sell.... Tony from Canada.

"I wanted to thank you for allowing us to rent Casa Ladera. We had a fabulous time and found everything - the house, the casita, the beach, the people in town, Joel and Livier, the weather, the jungle - above expectations. Each day we did some type of adventure and each was fabulous. We rode horses through the jungle, town and beach. We were escorted by boat to excellent snorkeling spots on three different days. We followed large groups of dolphin and watched them play up close. We explored Isla Maria and took lots of pictures of the rare Blue Footed Boobies. We took trips by car and boat to surf and explored Puerto Vallarta. We never did find our way around the city so any future trips will probably focus on Sayulita, Punta de Mita, San Pedro and the little town 45 minutes to the north. We would love to rent again."

    • Over the past 5 years we have vacationed in San Pancho with each visit a bit longer than the last. This year, our sixth visit, was the first time our desire for a four week stay matched the weeks available at Casa Ladera. We were thrilled. This spot is a wonderful place to have a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The house itself is tastefully decorated in the Mexican style with many personal touches of the owners; it feels like visiting someone’s home. The kitchen is very well equipped, including cookbooks—the best we have ever had in Mexico. There are several outdoor dining spaces; there is nothing like having breakfast on the deck while watching the birds and fishing boats, spotting whales at play, or losing yourself to the calming influence of the ocean immediately in front of you. Casa Ladera is perfect for families with children or two couples vacationing together. The two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms are spacious and afford plenty of privacy. Joel and Livier try to make guests feel comfortable and at home. They are a delightful couple always willing to help you out in any way they can. The beach at San Pancho is beautiful and uncrowded—a perfect spot to soak up the sun, take a walk, hunt for shells, surf the waves, read, or watch the pelicans dive for fish—they never miss! The town of San Pancho, within easy walking distance of Casa Ladera (either by the beach or by road) has several restaurants, unique gift shops and small grocery stores. Occasionally during the week vendors come through the neighborhoods of San Pancho selling fresh fruits and vegetables and sometimes shrimp and other seafood. The town is also well located to go exploring other beaches and towns up and down the coast. We had such a good time and enjoyed our vacation so much that we will be returning to Casa Ladera and San Pancho again next year. Hasta luego! Linda and Ken Stanley Reston, Virginia

    • If you are looking to get away from it all without sacrificing comfort and convenience--- Casa Ladera is the place to stay in San Pancho! My wife & I just returned from the most relaxing vacation we have ever taken. The most challenging dilemma we faced each day was deciding which sandals to wear (we only brought 2 pair apiece). All our senses were treated: We fell asleep each night to the hypnotic sound of waves. We woke each morning to a beautiful view of The Pacific from our bedroom. We wandered the cobblestone streets enjoying the scent of the bougainvilleas mixed with the salt air. We massaged our feet with daily walks on the deserted beach to town. And we feasted on some fabulous meals at several charming local restaurants as well as in the comfort of Casa Ladera. Make sure to have Joel cook breakfast and dinner for you at least once. It was nice to have the option of walking out our door for a drink at the nearby restaurant or staying put on our patio and watching the sunset. The immediate area is dotted with some other private homes so it was fun to explore the neighborhood--but then we could walk down the road and be in the jungle. “Downtown” San Pancho is quaint and the locals very friendly. It felt like we were in a real Mexican Village and not in a generic resort. The pictures on the Casa Ladera website do no justice to the reality of being there. Thanks Lee & Judy for your kind and honest hospitality and above all, tranquility! That’s what we came for and we will return.

"We had a wonderful, tropical week in San Pancho. Most of the time we stayed at home to read, "chill", listen to music, dip in the pool or sea and at night we went for dinner. We loved the 2 houses, the decorations, the whole atmosphere very much and like to thank you for sharing in this little paradise." Patrice & Tammo Maastricht, Holland

"We enjoyed your house very much - you have done a wonderful job in designing and furnishing it. I especially enjoyed the bluebird tiles in the bathroom and the angels hanging in the bedroom. Since I'm interested in architecture and interior design I was really impressed with the atmosphere you created from a hillside that had been some palm trees and brush. We all enjoyed looking at the pictures of Casa Ladera being built. Other highlights of our trip was taking a boat out to Isla Mariettas and seeing the Blue-footed Boobies and the male Frigate birds. I also wanted to say that Joel was wonderful and very helpful." Thanks again, Kathy Saratoga, CA
