Location: Westminster, London, England, United Kingdom, Europe (Near Hyde Park and Notting Hill, 30 Minutes Heathrow Airport)
Accommodations: Apartment, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6-7)
Elegant and spacious Central London luxury apartment with contemporary furnishings, located in a classic stucco building, ideally located close to Hyde Park, Notting Hill and the underground.
The apartment was built in 1842 and retains many period features including a working fireplace, traditional shutters and beautiful plasterwork ceilings; it was recently completely refurbished with modern amenities. There is central heating in every room, plenty of hot water, good water pressure, and gas for cooking.
The apartment has a large double sitting room with a working fireplace, sofas comfortably sitting 7, and a large flat screen cable TV with surround sound, CD and DVD player. There is also a dining area, with a table seating 6, French Windows and steps leading down to the garden.
The kitchen is modern with everything you might need including a Tea pot! There are three double bedrooms with Egyptian cotton sheets (one ensuite). There are two bathrooms, one with a good powerful shower. The private garden is pretty, with a table and chairs and a BBQ. It also has the biggest fuchsia 'tree' that anyone we know has seen.
We have a selection of guidebooks, books, CD's, DVD's and some children's toys to make you feel at home. We also provide a welcome pack with our own information guide about the locality and our favorite places. We want you to be able to make the most of your stay.
The location of the apartment is fabulous. On your doorstep you have a microcosm of the best that London has to offer. High Class restaurants and ethnic cafes are on your doorstep. If you fancy a stroll across Hyde Park, you can visit the Royal Albert Hall, The V&A Museum, The Natural History Museum, Kensington Palace or the shops of Kensington High Street. In the park there is a lake with swans, boating, cafes, The Serpentine Gallery (with modern art exhibitions) and the Princess Diana Playground.
There is also the option of walking to Notting Hill to browse antiques at Portabello Market, visit second hand bookshops and shop in the trendy boutiques of Westbourne Grove.
To go further afield to see the sights such as The Tower of London, Buckingham Palace or The Tate, you can take the tube which is a 3 minute walk away and you will be there in 30 minutes. Or take the train to Oxford which is 1 hour from Paddington Station which is a 15 minute walk away.
Whether you are a family visiting London, a group of friends or on a business trip, we think our flat which we lived in happily, before moving out of London, is in an ideal location.

Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2004
We both came to London to study and ended up staying for 20 years. We lived in Bayswater for 10 years and loved it. Everything is on your doorstep....restaurants, Hyde Park, culture, Notting Hill and cosmopolitan London. Great for adults and for kids. We finally moved out of London as our kids were growing and we wanted a big garden and a dog.
Why the Owner Chose Westminster
We love London and lived in the flat for years.
