Thank you for helping to make our 6 days in Carrboro/Chapel Hill/Durham area just perfect! With all of the family events in the celebration of our Ph.D. graduate and birthday and Mother's Day, your cottage provided a great refuge and place of rest and relaxation after our busy days and evenings. We found everything we needed to be comfortable and content~ The breakfast snacks you put together were perfect. It has felt like home, and Molly surely helped us to feel at home and miss our dog just a little less. We look forward to our next visitDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband, smal dog and I had a very peaceful stay. The loft is very comfortable and Heather was always ready to answer questions. It is very clean and well maintained. There is even a small deck to sit among the budding trees and enjoy a meal or glass of wine. Our dog enjoyed being invited out "to play" with their dog, Molly. It is an easy drive in to Carrboro's Weaver Street Market and all that happens there. We will recommend this place to anyone.Recommended for: Pet owners.
Owner response: I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. Molly had a ball, as well. Thanks for the kind words and the suggestions....both items have been added to the loft!

Heather, What a wonderful place to return to at the end of the day, unwind and relax. So, so cozy and warm. You are the very best hostess we have ever experienced. How incredibly gracious to provide the food and drinks, and I really loved the Lemongrass soap. You know how to provide special touches. Can't say enough, so I'll just say Thank you.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Lovely quiet property in the woods in beautiful Chapel Hill/Carrboro. Comfortable firm bed, kitchen well stocked with breakfast offerings, thoughtful host, lovely setting. We spend most of our time in Durham when we come to the Triangle, and it's a haul from there, so we might stay elsewhere next time we're there, but only for the distance reason. It's close to Carrboro and Chapel Hill - and it's so nice to be out in the country. The fact that they accept dogs, too, is a great thing. Really nice. Note that the loft has a flight of outdoor decking stairs to reach it. There's a sweet little deck that overlooks a lovely back yard and garden attached to the loft.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for the nice review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. You are the second person to mention the stairs...see below. I'll make sure the stairs are better emphasized in my listing. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

A very comfortable spot -- quiet, secluded, but not too far from Carrboro and Chapel Hill. Kitchen was well stocked (as was the rest of the apartment). The property is just as described in the listing. The apartment is at the top of a flight of stairs, so if you have dodgy knees, probably not the best bet.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.
Owner response: I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for choosing our loft!

Your Review is Pending Please read and confirm your review for Property #213064 below. Review #5247061 Charming and comfortable get-away We just returned from our long weekend at The Loft, and enjoyed this trip as much as any we have taken. The location is perfectly suited for our interests - biking and hiking, and the dining suggestions were wonderful. We love state parks and Enos River State Park is beautiful and fun to hike. Bolin Creek Trail was so much fun, we rode that twice while we were there. The Loft itself is very comfortable and charming with many unexpected amenities. I fell in love with Molly, the dog, as I am certain all guests do. Heather could not have been nicer, or more accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay!!

We stayed 10 days in Heather's perfect paradise enjoying the birds, squirrels, butterflies, and the first fireflies of the year! This vacation rental is ideally located for access to Chapel Hill, but it is very quiet and peaceful. No highway sounds, or other annoyances, just the music of the forest and the sunny meadow, and the feeling that everything is taken care of. You will notice that Heather has absolutely focused on making this a comfortable home away from home. Every morning and evening Molly, the friendly family dog, would climb the steps to look in through the french doors, and wag her tail. Even the rooster waits until after 9:00 AM to crow. Such manners! We felt at home. We wanted to nest here forever. Owner info
Year Purchased: 2008
About the owner: My husband and I and our 2 kids moved to Chapel Hill, from Long Island, NY in May of 2008. We immediately fell in love with the charm of Chapel Hill and Carborro. It's sense of community, it's commitment to the environment and green-spaces. We especially love the scenic drive to our property just minutes from Carborro and Chapel Hill. The rolling hills, meadows, farms and woods captivated us...and we couldn't imagine ourselves anywhere else but Carolina!
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
We love going to Weaver Street Market on Sunday mornings for breakfast and music. We LOVE watching our sporting events at Tylers and then having Maple View Farms icecream afterwards! YUM
