Big Rock Cabana is situated on a magical 640 feet of white coral sand beachfront on the South Shore of Utila. The construction of your luxury cabana was completed in the fall of 2008. In addition, the South Shore’s most magnificent dock was completely rebuilt. This retreat is for the adventurous couple looking to truly get away from it all. Come, see for yourself, the magic that is Big Rock.
Big Rock Cabana is a two-room cabana designed in a traditional island style. The two rooms consist of a living room and a bedroom. The cabana also has a galley-style kitchen and bathroom. The total amount of air-conditioned space is just over 900 square feet.
However, Big Rock Cabana is not an ordinary cabin. Care has been taken to equip it with high-end fixtures and furnishings for your comfort. High-end Minke indoor/outdoor fans, soothing Indonesian-inspired outdoor light fixtures, handcrafted island-style furniture including a canopy bed covered in beautiful mosquito/sand fly netting and accented with Asian lighting all combine to provide you with a comfortable place to rest your head and relax after a long day of diving, fishing, swimming, hiking or just lazing around.
Other touches include tiled counter tops in the kitchen, a vessel sink in the bathroom and a glass block shower to provide you with a luxurious place to call your temporary home. Although fairly constant trade wind breezes often eliminate the need for air-conditioning, the entire cabana is cooled by two high-efficiency split unit air conditioners. For true comfort, we have included high thread count linens and spa-quality towels for your use.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need to enjoy a romantic dinner for two, indoors or out. There is ample storage space for a week's worth of groceries. We also have a screened-in porch for that last little bit of outdoor time in the evenings.
On those days when it rains (it's rare, but depending on the season, it happens), we have a TV and DVD player for your use. We keep a small selection of movies in the cabana that you are welcome to view, but we encourage our guests to bring a few of their own choices. We also have a wide range of traditional board games for your use and a small "library" for the avid readers among you.

- Video Library: We have a small selection of DVDs in the Cabana which are welcome to watch, but we suggest you bring your own movies in case our tastes are not what you prefer.

- Full Kitchen: We have everything you could want for preparing lovely meals, pots, pans, etc. Just bring your own supplies and you are ready for an island getaway.

- Catering Available: If you are interseted in having us do your grocery shopping for you, provide us a list and your supplies will be waiting in your cabana for you.

- Beachfront: Spectactular ocean views with the mountains of mainland Honduras in the back ground. 10 dive spots are in front of the cabana and the reef wall drops to 150+ feet just 20 yards off the front of our dock. Stunning!
- Mountain View: Clear days reveal the majesty of the Honduran mainland mountains.
