  • We had an awesome time at the cottage! We saw the resident deer almost every day and a couple of seals swam by. I couldn't believe that we could just sit up in bed and look out at miles of water and islands. We went to Shark Reef and saw the sea lions, walked out on Spencer Spit, and drove along another spit that runs behind Fisherman's Bay and watched blue herons stalking their dinner in the marshes. And we found the Blackie Brady Memorial Beach--what a jewel! In the evenings we sat outside and watched the ferries go by like huge rectangular jewels reflecting on the water. I would go back again in a heartbeat!
