This place was fantastic. I had a couple of phone calls with Mark before coming, and he was extremely helpful and friendly. When we arrived, the house was in great condition, and it was even better than how it looked in the pictures. I would most definitely recommend this place to friends or relatives, and I would certainly come back!

All I can say is wow. We had high expectations since the pictures looked so incredible and when my college friends and I arrived (12 of us) we were blown away. There's a ton of land, a grill, a beautiful huge deck, pool table, dart room, huge kitchen, wine cellar, hot tub, lots of places to sleep. There's also a great grocery store in town where we bought all the bbq supplies (they ground the beef in front of us!). For recreation we went to a paintball/zoo place 20 miles away which was kind of strange but added to the weekend experience. But most of the time we were grilling on the deck, in the back playing catch, and just hanging out. It was everything we hoped for and more. We were sad to leave! We'll be back though.

My group of 15 college friends just held our reunion here and were totally thrilled. House and grounds are beautiful, secluded, spacious, and accommodating. Despite cold and rain we had an amazing time, building a fire and taking full advantage of the hot tub. Gameroom downstairs was an awesome asset as well. Overall would highly recommend and would quite willingly return. Owner mark was exceptionally responsive and helpful, promptly answering all questions.

We couldnt stop looking at the wonderful views. The house is magnificant. Every room is equally beautiful so no bickering amoungst the adults for the best room. The kitchen could be on "Top Chef" The kids were loving the game room. A real fireplace was the meeting place after a full day of skiing. Just seconds from the mountain. Plenty of room for all your cars. The owner checked in with us to make sure we were happy. When does that ever happen!! The heat works great but there were so many windows the house heated up from the sun. All in all my favorite house to stay at. and Ive been going to Windham for 20 years! that is saying alot. Grab your friends and family and check out this house!!

Our group of friends needed to find a place to stay for one night at Windham and were very happy that we went with this house. Mark was extremely accommodating to our schedule. As one of my friends described it, when you walk into the house, it was like being at disneyland - huge logs make up the magnificent cabin-home, with vaulted high ceilings and a wonderful view of Windham mountain. The rooms were elegantly furnished and very comfortable. The games room had a pool table, it's own tv and foosball table. In fact, we enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to ditch our plan of hitting the slopes early and spent a couple more hours in the morning relaxing in the house!

My friends and I rented the house for New Year's weekend, and it couldn't have worked out better. Tons of space, great game room, and just a 5-minute drive to the mountain. Mark was readily available by phone to answer questions (such as how to operate the high-tech heating system). The large hot tub was a key feature. Highly recommended.

My family and I stayed in the log home the week between Christmas and New Years. The house was more than we expected. There was plenty of room the kids to hang out in game room they played pool, darts watched the football games it was great. The hot tub was spectacular, we used it everyday after skiing. This home is the nicest we have ever stayed in. Thank you so much Mark. We will be back.

We stayed at this house for a weekend in December to celebrate my fiancé’s 30th birthday. 17 friends also stayed the weekend. Commute from NYC was quick and easy. Everyone was super comfortable and the amenities were terrific. Everyone ate, slept, showered, and had fun extremely comfortably. The house and property is magnificent! The game room, grill, and clean spa were great perks! The kitchen is pretty well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, etc. No complaints! House is even larger and nicer than the pictures suggest. It was a pleasure coordinating with the friendly owner. Can’t wait to rent again!

This was the first time I've rented this house and definitely was not disappointed. Each year I rent a house for my Fiancée's birthday and bring a few couples along with us. The house had plenty of room for all of us to enjoy and separate quarters were we could be alone if needed. The kitchen was great to cook in with high end appliances and sub zero fridge. Plenty of room for six couples to eat at the dinner table and nibble of the peninsula. We really enjoyed using both fireplaces inside and out at no extra cost of using the wood, which is pretty rare. The hot tub was great overlooking the mountain views; we even saw some presence of a bear in the area! The game room was fun and the house it pet friendly so our fur babies got to come with us. Would definitely recommend it to a friend. Thank you for a lovely stay.

My family and I stayed at this amazing home in the beginning of November 2010. It was a stormy, rainy couple of days...but, this is the place to stay if you get shut in by the weather. It was beautiful. I have seen some major ski resort lodges that didn't have the "wow factor" of this home. The construction of this estate is top-notch. Vaulted celings, gigantic log cross beams and beautiful hardwood floors are all a feast for the eyes. My children loved the dart board room next to the wine cellar. The pool table, like the rest of the amenities, was of high quality. The kitchen has all high end appliances and is equipped very well. The 6 person hot tub was not only spacious, but had features we had never seen on other hot tubs. Mark, the owner, was very helpful and friendly (and had great follow up skills)! The Catskill Mountain Country Store and Restaurant was well worth a visit - good food and a nice selection of crafts, gifts and such. We used the Cave Mountain Brewery for take-out one night. Excellent food - and don't forget a growler of beer to take back home!! The only issue with our stay - this home has set an awfully high expectation for my family's future rental stays (not a bad problem to have). I highly recommend this property and hope to have the opportunity to visit again.

We shared the house in October 2010 with 4 couples for a weekend of hiking and home cooking. The house is very specious, well maintained, clean and well equipped. Everybody felt home and enjoyed the time we spent especially in the sun outside on the gorgeous sun deck. Definitely recommended and worth its price!

I very rarely write reviews but thought this house deserves the extra time. In my opinion, the house is actually nicer than the pictures depict. The owner clearly did not spare any expense when building this house. I honestly can not think of one part of the house that was neglected when building the house. The kitchen is very large and the bathrooms are new/clean. In addition, the view, the extremely large wrap around deck, hot tub and game room made it hard to leave the house during the day. This is probably the nicest mountain home I've ever rented. I will definitely come back to this house in the future. Finally, the owner Mark is top notch. He was extremely helpful throughout the stay and very easy to work with. From pictures to reality, the house was exactly as we expected. There is just enough privacy without feeling too far away from civilization. The forested private driveway to the house provides the privacy we were seeking, while the house itself overlooks an expanse of meadow and trees as far as the eye can see. The house itself is incredibly well outfitted and maintained with the added entertainment of a game room to supplement other activities on a rainy day. The owner was incredibly helpful, informative and easy to deal with in coordinating our stay. Additionally, I found the full booklet of restaurant and activity recommendations for the area very helpful as we were first timers in the Catskills. The easy proximity of the house to both Windham and Hunter mountains makes it a stellar choice for both winter and summer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again!

I've rented this house annually for the past several summers. It's such a thrill driving from Manhattan to the quaint town of Windham and taking note of the beautiful changing landscape. Driving up to the house you feel as through you're really on a retreat from the bustle of everyday life. The pictures just don't do the house justice. Upon entering the home one can't help but being awed by the scope of the ceilings and the overwhelming views from every room. The house is equipped with many bedrooms, bathrooms, an amazing kitchen with stainless appliances, two large family rooms, all the latest amenities like Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs, billiards and darts. There is also a grill and a hot tub for late night wine under the moon! The home is serene and you can't see another house from any point of the property! I truly look forward to the week each year that we rent the house and see it as a retreat from city life. I also enjoy the close proximity to the Catskills, Kaaterskill Falls and other local attractions. For a wonderful property, a relaxing escape, communicative and helpful owners and beautiful scenery, I recommend this property!

This house is absolutely awesome, beautiful and spacious. We had four couples and a few young children and we had more then enough room. The furniture, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, deck, hot tub, game room, etc -- were all perfect. Not to mention the most stunning views of Windham Mountain. Mark, the owner, is such a great guy and a pleasure to deal with. Can't wait to go back!!!

This was, by FAR, our/the best rental experience we have EVER enjoyed (and we are veterans of many weeks and weekends away) - and whilst we have somewhat lucky in the past -we can unequivocally state that we consider ourselves beyond fortunate to have found Mark and his lovely home........... Thanks to the owner, Mark Majetti, for providing us with a rare rental experience - across the board......... - He went above and beyond what would be considered his/the expected "responsibilities" of a landlord and made our stay very special - acommodating us not only on such short notice, but going the extra mile to make us feel as welcome as possible in their BEAUTIFUL home, and for being so accessible/approachable and helpful with a 'hands on' approach to preparing the place for our arrival as well as for freely sharing his time and extending us unparallelled hospitality - going so far as to share recommendations with regards to restaurants, golf courses, activities, etc.......We felt like his beautiful home was actually our beautiful home....In other words, we REALLY felt at home. This is quite an accomplishment as I own three homes myself - two of which are rental properties in Florida - and quite frankly I am, admittedly, what you would call an "absentee landlord" or as my wife calls it I have a "long distance relationship" with said properties....... I am now pushing Mark to share his "secret" - as I would be greatly indebted to learn how he pulled it off - as we felt very comfortable and extremely secure and confident that if (heaven forbid) any problem arose all we needed to do was call HIM and whatever issue we had (from the most miniscule) would have been taken care of immediately and without any hesitation. An amazing feat considering he is based on the West Coast and yet is more 'hands on' than any other home owner that I've ever dealt with.... We give this place and it's owners a 5 star review - It's very easy to GUSH about the place.......When I tell the story and show the pictures to "others" not in the "know"- it's MY house! (that's the story and I'm sticking with it as I would be PROUD to call it my HOUSE)! We cannot wait to go back....... Thanks again for everything... Panos

Absolutely loved the house and property. Spent a guys weekend away and the house was perfect. Very private and relaxing with mountain views from almost every room. Finishes were top notch, including a high-end kitchen and Weber grill, full-size pool table, flat screen TV's and hot tub. The house has everything and makes it tough to leave. Great place to get away! I highly recommend it.

Recently went to this house for a girls weekend getaway and it was FANTASTIC. The house is gorgeous and one of the most beautifully kept places I have ever rented and the location is great for a group getaway from the city. Its also close to several NYS campgrounds. The owner Mark was very accomodating and easy to deal with. Definitely recommend this place and plan on going back.

Excellent place. Spacious, Comfortable, Floor to Ceiling (20FT) windows with mountain views. Large kitchen and dining area make it very easy to have great meals. Getting anywhere from here takes a couple of minutes, besides which, I would recommend bringing everything with you so that you don't have to leave. Totally secluded and beautiful, with a large deck, and grill. We spent most of our time outdoors. The hot tub looks directly over the mountains, so grab a drink and relax.

Words can't express how absolutely lovely this home is! If you can believe it, the pictures don't even do it justice! It's every bit of luxury in the mountains. The view of the mountains (including Ski Windham) is unobstructed and spectacular. We stayed for the 4th of July weekend and the view of the fireworks display put on at Ski Windham was spot-on. This vacation will be what you make of it; whether you want relaxation or adventure it's all there at your fingertips. Mark, the owner was amazing to work with. From beginning to end he was always available by phone or email, very helpful and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. If you're looking for a vacation house in the Catskills - THIS is it!

We rented this fantastic cabin in May (2009) for a celebration of my 60th birthday. We had 10 people in our group and we stayed 4days (3 nights). I have rented vacation homes before but must say that this one is absolutely terrific and at the top of my list. The photos you see here do not do it justice. It is a stunning place and is in fantastic condition. There are adequate cooking utensils and the quality of the bedding and furniture is excellent. The property is very large and the view is spectacular (with a great vista of Windham Mountain). Be sure to use the very large (and working!) hot tub. Mark, the owner, is very responsive and checked in with us often. He also returned 100% of our security deposit very quickly. There is a local real estate agent who can handle any emergencies but we did not require her for our stay. My brother, a log home inspection specialist, gives this home an A+. The only small negative: the coffee maker was not working (Mark has since replaced). This is a first rate stay and we are planning to return this winter.

I would like to express how fantastic this house was as it was such a memorable weekend and the perfect place to go to relax, bond and take in some winter sports (which we didn't end up doing since we didn't want to leave the house). I like to express my thoughts in bullet points so here it goes: 1) Two plasma tv's are excellent and using my Blue-ray player, the TV definition mimiced my pioneer elite 50' at home. 2) Couches in living room are gorgeous and extremely comfortable 3) Clear view from living room of Windham mountain. 4) Bathrooms and all furnishings in bedrooms were top of the line and beautiful 5) Kitchen - amazing, as you can see 6) Dining room - same 7) Jacuzzi - didn't get a chance to dip but it also had a beautiful clear view of the mountain was lit by motion sensor detection at night. I have nothing negative to say about this rental and I will definitely stay here again. Please email me if you have any questions!

Under 3 hours from NYC, this amazing home was a delight to stay in for a weekend. Lovely views, privacy, cozy atmosphere, jacuzzi, fireplace, etc... this place has it all! We had a terrific time. It rained heavily half the weekend but the place is so nice, that we didn't care. It was an excuse to stay in, drink bloody marys, play cards, watch games, and cook - oh, the kitchen rules!!!! For any fly fisherman out there, there are a couple of streams within 30 minutes. Just don't forget you're rod at your home like I did. Ouch. Thanks to Mark and to Cynthia! I can't wait to get back up there!

Rented this house for the weekend and it was the perfect getaway. The house is absolutely magnificent; the pictures do not do it justice! The town of Windham and the slopes are only 5 minutes away (by car) but you feel like you are in the middle of woods, completely isolated. The owner is very nice and extremely accommodating. We had a small problem with the hot tub on the first night, called the owner and he sent someone over right away to fix it. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for some relaxation and not too far from NYC (only 120 mile drive up I 87)
