The Royal Garden condominium unit is bright and welcoming, and the owners have paid great attention to detail which made it so cozy with charming little touches from decorations to cabinetry. It has a full kitchen although we only cooked a few times while on vacation. The unit is centrally and conveniently located in Waikiki; close to great shopping mall Ala Moana and the beautiful clean beach of Fort Derussy Park; also a walking distance to the main streets of Kuhio and Kalakaua where one finds diverse restaurants, shops, and continuous long stretch of Waikiki beach. A BIG plus is the condominium’s location. It is one block from Kuhio St. in a quiet residential neighborhood, therefore we had our privacy away from the hustle & bustle part of Waikiki. Did I already mention that the condo unit is wonderful, bright, friendly, and welcoming? Endless views surround the unit: splendid mountains and Ala Wai canal on the right, Honolulu front and below, and the beach on the left as one stands facing out on the walk-in lanai. We came home early one of the nights and were delighted with views of Honolulu skylights and skyscrapers. My friend and I definitely enjoyed our stay, and we thank you Alfred and Hildegarde for your kind hospitality.

Outstanding Stay (One Month)

We have been coming to Hawaii for about 11 years now and this unit was the best equipped we have stayed at. The information presented by the owners is totally correct and there are no misleading statements. Upon your arrival you can just tell that this is owned by someone who believes in cleanliness. It is definately their home away from home. I can honestly say there is nothing that we could think of which this unit did not supply, everything from beach chairs, boogie boards to toys for your children. The kitchen is excellantly equipped and the freezer is a definate asset if you do plan to cook a couple of your own meals with the stove provided. The building is extremely quiet and the staff on the Wyndam side of the house are excellent, for any assistance to a condo renter (a rare comodity). We utilized the BBQ area and the Wyndam staff set it up, cleaned up after, all we had to do is show up cook, eat and leave. Through my connections in the Waikiki area, I ascertained that this is one of the safest condo hotels in the Waikiki area. Their Security staff are a definate asset to this hotel, they do an excellant job of taking care of you when you are sleeping. It is close to everything in the Waikiki area and if you choose to venture away you can't get any closer to the bus routes. We have subsequently booked until 2014. We know when people see this review and read others, they will definately want to try it out and we do not want to loose our spot for our future bookings. We believe that Hildegarde and Alfred would definately allow us our return preference. I would recommend this unit to anyone coming over, especially couples and couples with maybe one child (max two). Mahalo Hildegarde and Alfred and see you next year!!!

Our Home for the Month

Would actually rate my experience higher if there wasn't construction happening at the Royal while we were there. As a result of the construction the ice machines and the exercise room were closed. The elevators were difficult to use and there was more noise throughout the day. On the other hand the suite was great. Well equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. We had a small issue and when we emailed the owner they were quick to reply and remedy the situation. The suite has great views which included the Friday night fireworks at the Hilton. Access to Ft DeRussy beach was quick and easy. We used the pool, green space and barbecue area were well maintained and clean. A great place to have a great holiday!

Great studio in Waikiki

The condo had everything we needed for our 3 week stay in Waikiki. The location is excellent; close to beaches, buses and great restaurants. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives and would not hesitate to stay again should we return to Waikiki. We are now back home after having a lovely relaxing holiday staying in your codo at the Royal Garden Hotel, Waikiki.We found the condo in sparkling condition ,our stay was relaxing and peaceful the hotel and security staff were most friendly and helpful,we loved the pool and spent time there everyday.We walked to many places over the month and found the Hotel handy to all locations.Your information and tips that you sent us before arriving helped us a lot in planning and made our holiday trouble free Many thanks for the prompt deposit refund ,we received it the 2nd day home.We will certainly book again when we plan our break for next year.
