Newly built in 2008, The Loft House in Santa Monica is a two-story architectural gem. An open, very light & spacious floor plan, carefully appointed furnishings, artwork, amenities and great location provide the perfect surroundings for both the pleasure and business traveler.

We are located just 10 blocks to the white sandy beach in Santa Monica, so sunbathing, surfing, people watching or enjoying the 22 mile walk, bike & rollerblade path that stretches along the ocean is at your disposal. You are within a mile to the famous Santa Monica Pier, 3rd Street Promenade and walking distance to Main Street – all complete with world class shopping, the hottest bars, restaurants and boutiques that Venice and Santa Monica have to offer. We are also a quick drive to all of the major Hollywood studios and production houses, Beverly Hills, Malibu and all of the major business centers.

  • We cannot begin to give the level of favorable review the Loft House, and its owners, merit. We stayed at the Loft House for a glorious week (we tried for two weeks, but were it was not available for a second week, due to a previously booked commitment). The home was immaculate, spotless, and extremely well furnished, from a blender in the kitchen for our daily smoothies, to a thoroughly stocked work desk upstairs at the loft level. Fortunately, we were in town to cool off, have fun, and didn’t need to use the goodies in the work desk. Having a two-car enclosed garage at our disposal, in a neighborhood away from the craziness of Venice Beach, with plenty of off-street parking for visiting friends and family, was more than we could hope for. The wireless internet available was a screamingly fast FiOS connection—better than anything we have at our own home, and being able to record TV on their DVR was an unexpected surprise. The décor was amazingly up to date (granite, stainless in the kitchen, crescent shower rod, tile/marble in the bathroom), and the beds were oh so comfy (high quality bedding, high thread count, lots of poof and fluff). If we owned a home as nice as this, I think we’d be afraid to let anyone rent it from us (and kudos’ to Deborah and her husband for being able to “let go” and trust enough to make it available to others). We are becoming VRBO “junkies,” and, thus far, this is the best experience we have had. We were in town primarily to attend the LA Open tennis tournament, but also took time to ride our bikes from the Loft House to the beach and local restaurants, and to drive a short few blocks to the farmers’ market. We have family living in the LA area, and plan to come back again, and again. James and Kelly

    The following is a review of The Loft House that appears on another vacation-rental website, word for word: "My wife and I and our teenage son (17) spent 8 wonderful nights at the Loft House. I wish there was a higher rating than 5 because this property and the owner (Deborah) fully deserve it. The house is beautifully designed and exceptionally appointed with great style and care. The location is on a quiet residential street close to Santa Monica and Venice/Marina Del Rey. We found it to be a perfect base for looking at colleges for our son. But what sets the Loft House apart is Deborah's amazing attention to detail and her wonderful customer service. She has added so many special touches, including an extensive restaurant binder, a DVD library, sleep masks, fresh ground coffee and even office supplies in the desk!! These touches made us feel that we were staying in a luxurious and chic hotel, but with the wonderful benefits of privacy, space and a gourmet kitchen. I have traveled pretty extensively and I honestly have not come across the perfect combination achieved at the Loft House - a beautiful property and superb customer service. We look forward to returning soon. I recommend the Loft House fully and without hesitation." Owners Response: Our location is actually in the Heart of Santa Monica! We are walking distance to the Beach with its 22 mile bike/walk/skate path & Main Street with its array of great restaurants (i.e., Wolf Gang Puck), hip boutiques, coffee houses, yoga studios and a weekend farmer's market. We are also less than a 5 minute drive to the famous Santa Monica Pier, Third Street Promenade, Montana Ave. and the Venice Boardwalk.

    The following is a review of The Loft House that appears on another vacation-rental website, word for word: "I spent a long weekend in the lofthouse in November of 2008 with my wife and mother and had a great time. The description of the property was absolutely accruate, it really is beautiful. Newly built with clean open spaces make it feel large enough for 3 or 4 people. It's modern, with flat screen TV's granite kitchen counters etc and has everything you will need and more. The owners had thought of everything unlike many properties - laundry baskets in the bedrooms, a guide to their favorite restaurants etc. Go to the smoothie shop down the street and get a raspberry and orange smoothie, very refreshing. I'd recommend having a car if you want to get around outside of Santa Monica but it's close enough to the beach to walk and there is a regular bus that runs close by. I would not only recommend this to friends but will almost definitely use it in the future myself. Recommended for: Sightseeing"
