We have stayed in 8 different condos at MLP since 1998. This unit is one of the two best we have found. Owners are easy to deal with and most co-operative, if you must cancel (which we had to do for a prior booking). We definitely will try and stay in this unit when we return. We will return!!! Very clean, great view, nice appointments and full sized stackable washer and dryer. Only thing missing is a lounger on the lanai, but that is no big deal. (nice chairs and table) You won't be disappointed.

My husband & i spent 5 days at your lovely home celebrating our anniversary. The views were gorgeous & the unit is absolutely beautiful. A nice touch were the treats awaiting our arrival - thank you. We hope we are able to return next year - we spent most of our time on the patio & walking the grounds of the resort - a very relaxing spot.

I have traveled to Hawaii many times since 1972, and 99% of my visits I have stayed at a condo. We were fortunate to stay in this condo in Dec. 2011, and I can state with certainty that this unit is the one we will return to from here on out when visiting the Big Island. Immaculate and stylish decor, with an astounding location and view made for a very pleasant and relaxing stay. The unit is furnished with everything you could possibly need from beach towels and sand chairs to a fully equipped kitchen, and highlighted with lovely floral touches and a welcoming gift food basket. I am already taking to planning our vacation for 2013, and yes, hopefully will be booking this condo again.

We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. As golfers and divers/snorkelers we found the location really ideal. The setting is just great overlooking the signature hole as well as a great view of the ocean beyond. The facilities at the condo were excellent and spacious with all the essentials for self catering. Whilst we took our own snorkel gear, it was good to see that even this was available. The small beach across from the condo provided a really great snorkel before breakfast! The welcome basket of local fare was also much appreciated.

We got to Hawaii twice last year and stayed both times at this condo. We love it, and wouldn't think of staying any other place on the Big Island. For us, it has it all. Beautiful condo, fabulous views, and owners who are easy to work with. FYI - If you get tired of eating in, the Beach Club serves lunch and has added dinner service. Very convenient.

We loved our stay at this condo! It's comfortable, has nearly everything you'll need for your stay and is much nicer than staying in a hotel. We ate breakfast and dinner on the lanai nearly every day because the view is so nice. The beach club is very convenient for easy beach trips and the snorkeling there is pretty decent. The complex is also a short drive to several other nice beaches. We weren't too impressed with the shops and restaurants at Mauna Lani, but we didn't want to spend our vacation shopping and eating out anyway. This is a great condo if you're looking for great scenery that's away from the crowds.

What a great place to stay while on the Big Island. Access to the Beach Club premises is a real plus. Everything is close by whether you need a grocery store or a restaurant with great food .

We loved our stay at this condo- it's absolutely stunning. Beautifully appointed and luxurious - I challenge any $1000+ suites at any hotel to beat it! Extremely clean with everything you could need. It's obvious a lot of thought has gone into making this the ultimate holiday home. The kitchen is fantastic - one of the very few places where i preferred staying in and cooking rather than eating out. The Lanai is a great place to watch the ocean and the sunsets - you get the best seat on the Big Island. The gorgeous and quiet beach is a 5-10 minute walk away - the sand is clean and fine, the water turquoise with fantastic snorkeling. I loved the fact they had chairs and cabanas there for resort guests to use. There is also excellent snorkeling in the little cove just in front of the condo. The interior coupled with the views of the ocean and sunsets make this condo a fail safe bet for an amazing vacation - can't recommend it enough.

We booked this condo for the view and were not disappointed at all. As a bonus the unit is just fabulous, really clever layout with all top of the line furnishings and decor. We were surprised by the owner with a generous gift basket as well as fresh flowers sitting here and there throughout. The private beach is quiet and has great snorkeling. The bed is super comfortable, all the appliances worked and the sunsets were stunning and amazingly different each night. We will definitlely come back. Aloha, Sharon

We simply loved our stay at this lovely condo. Everything has been done with an eye to the guest's comfort. It is a perfectly appointed destination that makes you feel right at home. And the view... well, it will take your breath away. One thing not memtioned in the other reviews is the Beach Club membershp. We really enjoyed having lunch there; the food was good and the price reasonable. The owners are professional and easy to work with. We are only sad that the dates we wanted to return are already rented.

We spent 3 weeks in April, 2010 at this beautiful condo we found thru VRBO. What a gem. We have stayed in Mauna Lani Point five times and this was our best condo by far. Fantastically appointed, outstanding views and all the amenities including little touches like fresh flowers and a welcome basket upon arrival. The property has all the benefits of a five star resort, but the quiet and privacy of a gated community. The owners were a treat to work with and addressed one minor microwave problem immediately. The property listing description was spot on to the condo. I echo all the previous comments. You can't go wrong with this rental. Bring your binoculars in the spring as the whales are outside your lanai and some of the best snorkeling on the island is right in front of you. The should make a six star rating for this property - it is that nice!!!!!!!!!!

This gorgeous condo far exceeded any expectations. Dealing with the owners was a true pleasure. We could not have asked more more: a beautifully appointed condo, with a breathtaking view, in a perfect location. To my mind there is no hotel on the island that could match this. We echo everything that the previous comments have to say about this remarkable spot and cannot wait to come back. THANK YOU!

We stayed from Feb 10-17. All I can say is, "It's amazing". This condo is sheer perfection. The view from here is so dramatic and so breathtaking you'll spend a lot of your time with your chairs out on the grass. Being on the first floor is better in this case because you get so much more room having a large area of grass out front. We spent our entire week here with the doors open day and night, no air conditioning needed. It got to the point when I wanted to sleep if I couldn't hear the ocean because the door was closed I had to open it. It's fun to watch the golfers in the lap of luxury. The whales are so abundant that we had our binoculars out the whole time. You don't need to move and you'll see them all day. The owners are very good to deal with and very quick to act if there is a problem. We had a problem with the coffee maker, I called and it was replaced with a new one a few hours later. I would not hesitate to recommend this unit to anyone. It will suit people who expect luxury in a relaxed but elegant atmosphere. They have done it all right!

Our first visit to the Big Island and it made all the more special after finding this condo on VRBO. We spent two weeks there in December and it was perfect. What impressed us was how beautifully the condo was furnished and equipped. The lanai was a pleasure be at for 14 beautiful sunsets, all different of course. Even as a non golfer we were entertaining by the golf hole in front of us...the pool area was amazing quiet for a high season time. some afternoons we would be the only ones reading there...no fighting for lawn chairs here!! We are definitely coming back.

We travel to Hawaii every other year. After spending a week in Maui, this was the perfect place to stay for our second week- quiet, peaceful and gorgeous. Mauan Lani Point was very quiet during our stay in the first week of December. If you don't like crowds, this is the perfect time of the year to travel although we really missed the whales :( And as stated in other guest comments, this unit has the perfect location and is beautifully decorated. We were greeted with a welcome basket and fresh orchids. We will definitely return! Thanks Heidi for the wonderful stay and for being such a gracious host!

This beautiful condo in Mauni Lani Point exceeded our highest expectations. We spent 10 days there in November and couldn't believe our good fortune when we first walked through the door. It truly does look like the photos if not even better and is immaculately maintained. We love the Mauni Lani Hotel but would absolutely not hesitate to vacation here again. We were entertained daily with golfers trying to make it over the water on the signature hole and enjoyed some of the most beautiful sunsets we have ever seen. There is no beach out front but a short walk along an oceanfront path takes you to the Beach Club and Beach and just beyond that is the Mauni Lani Hotel and Fairmont Orchid Hotel. The Mauni Lani Point pool was beautiful. The entire complex was very quiet in November and the weather was fabulous. We look forward to returning to this same condo.

We have stayed at Mauna Lani Point frequently and have experienced both highs and lows in the quality of the units. This condominium is one of the best: upkeep, furnishings, view, location--absolutely top ratings across the board. The owners are experienced, professional, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. This one is a flat out winner for a couple visiting the Big Island. Highest recommendation.

We have stayed in oceanfront rooms at the Orchid and ocean view rooms at the Four Seasons Manele Bay but found this condo to be much nicer than either of those and closer to the water. With personal touches such as fresh orchids, a welcome basket with fruit, snacks, and waters, and all of the amenities we could need, our stay in this beautiful condo was absolutely the best. We spent most of our free time on the lanai enjoying the view of the ocean. We saw dolphins and manta rays swimming in the cove just off the 15th green. We listened to the sound of the wind in the palms and the surf on the shore. It was so relaxing. This is the only place we will stay on the big island from now on. Ted and Donna, Rocklin, CA

My wife and I had a greaat time in your condo. It was in celebration of my 70th birthday and when we arrived the place was full of ballons and a special gift from the owners. It is hard to put into words how beautiful the condo was with its location on the signature hole of the Mauna Lani Golf Course. Everything was perfect, the nicest condo we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot, believe me! Could not have had a better time.

Five stars wouldn't even begin to describe the resort experience my husband and I enjoyed while vacationing at Mauna Lani Point on the Big Island of Hawaii in mid April of ‘09. The accommodations were immaculate. The view from our lower floor Lanai was nothing short of spectacular. To our left, the tee-off point for a challenging par 3 that, if played well, sends the ball on a short, lofty flight over the Pacific Ocean for a soft landing on a perfectly manicured green on the other side.I had mentioned we would be celebrating my husband’s birthday on the island. Little did I know that upon entering the condo there would be helium filled “Happy Birthday” balloons floating about the ceiling and an island gift basket chalk full of some of my husband’s favorite Hawaiian baked goods, candies, nuts and snacks. Our only disappointment: Packing our bags for the return trip to California. We’ll be back!

We stayed here for my husband's 50th Birthday and loved it! When we arrived, we were welcomed by about a dozen helium balloons suspended in the entryway and birthday cake in the refrigerator. The unit is well-appointed and the owners attend to every detail, including fresh flowers in the rooms. The grounds at Mauna Lani Point are immaculate and the view from this unit is lovely. Watching the whales from the lanai is a great way to start and end the day. The beach is a short walk down the path and the pool is also convenient. We would highly recommend staying in this unit and can't wait to return!

We are regular visitors to the islands of Hawaii, yet this was our first stay at a condo. Having stayed at the Mauna Lani Hotel a couple of years ago, we knew we wanted access to the Beach Club beach as it's not too crowded, there are chairs, and the snorkeling is great. Our standards are high and we were worried about what we might get if we booked a condo instead of a hotel having seen some sub-par conditions when friends have stayed in condos. The pictures for this unit show the truth. The view is fabulous, the complex is quiet, and the hospitality was wonderful! A basket of fruit and other Hawaiian treats greeted us when we arrived. We would definitely stay at this unit on a future visit. We can only hope any future condo rentals are just as nice. Yes, you should book this unit!

This is the perfect spot for a wonderful and relaxing vacation. The condo is beautifully decorated and very comfortable for a couple. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and even things you didn't know you would want. Sitting on the lanai in the early morning, at sunset, or at anytime of the day is just breathtaking. Watching the whales playing and the golfers taking their best shot on the signature hole is very entertaining. We plan to be back very soon. Thank you for allowing us to share your beautiful home.

We have rented a number of different units at Mani Lani Point over the past few years. We have very high, I would even say, picky standards. This unit has it all! Great view, great location and beautifully furnished - absolutey clean and the best maintained unit we have experienced. The owners did everything possible to assure our visit - 11 nights - was welcoming and comfortable - from a bowl of fresh Hawaiian fruit to fresh candles to a fresh poinsettia at the entrance (we were there over Christmas) and even a small Christmas tree. Loved waking up and sipping tea on the lanai while we watched for whales as golfers tried (usually in vain) to hit the green on the course's signature hole. We repeated this exercise every sunset, exchanging Mai Tais for teacups. Love the Club beach just an easy walk away, along the ocean the entire way - lovely white sand beach and the best snorkeling we have found in the islands, including live coral and lots of turtles. Enjoyed the immaculate pool and barbeque area. We give this rental condo our highest recommendations - and yes, we just found it like you did by searching VRBO.
