We will be back!
First time using Homeaway. We very much liked our stay and thought the unit offered great value. It was very clean. We stayed 4 nights- the North Coast of Kauai is amazingly beautiful and this makes a great affordable base.

Good but hot air conditioning
Good but hot air conditioning
Hi everyones, A realy nice place in a nice area. Clean in général, could have been cleaner in the corner, the vertical blind are full off dust and full of death flys on the edge of the windows but nothing discusting just need one real clean-up. The roof fan is dead need to be replace, top speed as no difference with lowest so no wind from the roof fan. I would really recommand the instalation of an air conditioner. This place was so hot at night almost like we had forgot the heater on. We were there end of august and realy this is the down side that we remember. Hard to sleep! For the rest If we forget the guy nextdoor on his balcony who was almost always there looking.... This place is nice. If you dont know Sandpiper village, it is a kind of golf resort or village, there are lots of small hotel or condo resort near and they all have there name, a realy beautiful area and quiet for sure, no stress, there no outsider will be found in the street. Seems to be realy safe. I would recommand it but speak with the owner before to see if he as replace the fan or installed an air conditioner. By the way the north of the island has a lot too see and is very beautifull! Kauai!!! we will remenber you!!!!

Manager response: We were not advised of any issues during the guest's stay, and certainly would have been able and happy to address them had we been notified. The ceiling fan was working properly during the guest's stay. It has a remote control, and when switched into the "reverse" position does not yield a cooling effect. It has 3 speeds in the forward position which draws air down and does produce a cooling effect. There is also a floor fan in the closet which augments the ceiling fan's effect. It is worth noting that the summer months are the warmer months in Northern Kauai with average highs in the 85 degree range. 90% of vacation condos on the North Shore do not have air conditioning, and to my knowledge no units on the North Shore that are in the price of our studio have A/C. During the months June, July, August, and September heat sensitive guests may want to spend more to rent a unit with A/C. Also worth noting is that almost all the locals on the North Shore live year round without A/C- the vast majority of units were simply built with flow through ventilation. During the warmer months, it is best when renting a second floor studio like ours to leave the flow through ventilation open and fans on during the day,- this will greatly reduce the warmth in the unit you will experience in the evenings if the unit is shut tight during the day. Regarding the cleaning issues mentioned in the review- again, we were not advised of them during the guests stay, and after the guests checked out four other guests stayed at this studio without any issues arising before this review was posted. One of those four did call to extend their stay and said they loved the unit. So while it is impossible to address an issue that was only brought to our attention long after the guest's stay, and not experienced by other guests, I can say for certain the cleaners who take care of this unit have worked for us for many years and have proven very diligent, and I any guest can be assured that if they have a cleaning issue they can contact us or our cleaners and we will be happy to make thing right. We are glad the guests enjoyed the beauty of Northern Kauai in their 3-Day stay. While 3 Days may not be long enough to see all of Northern Kauai, as these guest's enthusiams shows, they are long enough to get a feel for how special this beautiful coastline is! Kindest Regards, Greg
Lovely Studio Condo. Spotless clean and near some of the best scenery anywhere. Thanks for the quick "rescue" by the superintendent when we locked ourselves out one day. Hope to see you again..
