Nighttime stargazing, especially in the NEW HOT TUB is an amazing experience at our log cabin with unobstructed views in all directions! Scout's Lookout, a real log cabin with beautiful heart of pine floors throughout, is a non-smoking cabin with one thing in mind-- relaxation and comfort. This log cabin has ALL the amenities you need for a relaxing vacation ... eat your meals in the dining area with long range views on 3 sides or out on the porch. There are two bedrooms on the main level -- the master with a queen bed, private bath and cable tv; and the guest bedroom has a full size bed. Upstairs the large loft has twins and a cozy reading area with loveseat. An antique dollhouse, board games, puzzles and movies will help to entertain the young -- or young at heart! Just open the windows, turn on the ceiling fans and the cool mountain air will lull you right to sleep! The living room has a wood burning fireplace for those cool mountain nights, complete with TV, VCR and DVD. Swing or rock on the porch and admire the amazing views as birds and clouds float by... OR use it as your home base while you ride the Nantahala River Gorge, boat or swim on Lake Nantahala, antique in Franklin and N. Georgia or explore the beautiful mountains and waterfalls of Western North Carolina, especially the Great Smokey Mountains National Park! The grocery store is a 10 minute drive down the mountain into the town of Andrews. Don't forget -- the vineyards of N. Georgia make a great day trip! Nearby places of interest include Nantahala Outdoor Center (tubing, rafting, horseback, picnic), Bryson City (golf, Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, Appalachian Trail), Cherokee (casinos), Fontana Lake, Cherohola Skyway (42 mile scenic drive).
