Other Gatlinburg Properties cabin description
Romantic private historic log cabin tucked into the mountains near Gatlinburg, TN, in a cove that looks like Cades Cove. The log spiral staircase takes you up to the honeymoon loft, with heart shaped Jacuzzi and bath. 44 windows overlook the farm, with no buildings in sight.
Intimate and quiet setting for a nature oriented getaway close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg attractions. This farm is an original settler's farm in Tennessee owned by the same family from the 1800's until 1980's, the Fox family. We have preserved the original cabin and built this cabin in the spirit of the early days with historic logs yet lots of modern luxury. The stone floors in the main level, river rock fireplaces on each level, and comfortable leather sofa will invite you to relax and rejuvenate.

Run dont walk away from this cabin
My whole experience with renting from Janice at Creekwalk Inn was a nightmare. We arrived at Creekwalk Inn to check in to The Homestead Cabin. We should have been concerned that this was a bed and breakfast lodge and it is Labor Day weekend and no one to be found. We came back an hour later and was greeted by a nice lady that said Janice and Tifton were called out of town for a family energency. She registered us and gave us directions to the cabin, which was about 30 minutes away.We arrived at cabin and felt like we had walked into a bad John Candy movie. The cabin appeared it had not been rented in sometime. The grass needed cutting. There were decaying wet leaves covering back steps. You opened the door and the odor hit you. I told my wife at first it just appeared to be smell from being closed up, but she compared it to urine. You walked through cobwebs and there were cobwebs everywhere. They had been there so long they were full of dead bugs. The pictures make things look really nice, but furniture is old and worn out. I ventured upstairs and it got no better. I decided to pull back linens on bed. There was a pubic hair on left side and then I pulled back right side and it was disgusting. We have no idea what the stain was, but was brown and smeared looking. I called Janice and her husband answered. He tried to tell me this was a very popular rental. I felt like he insulted my intelligence when he told me in this area cobwebs happen overnight. He had Janice call me back. She seemed suprised and told me that cabin should have been ready and was sorry and get housekeepers out right away. This was not something that housekeepers were going to get done in a short time. I told her we were not going to stay in this place it was horrible. She then offered me another cabin. It was a small one room, not one bedroom, but one room cabin. It was 45 minutes away and seeing how we planned on preparing dinner at cabin that night plans were shot as it was another 45 minutes away. I asked for refund and she reluctantly offered to give me $150.00 off, which I am still waiting for.The cabin appeared clean, but was minimalistic at most. The grass was knee high at the grill and around cabin, but we decided to make best of bad situation. It quickly got worse when we went to leave. We stripped the bed and was shocked to see the mattress pad we had slept on. It appeared to have repeated urine stains. The pillow protector had bloodstain. I have pictures of it all. RUN
