Owner's Map of Aloha
My wife and I grew up in Mexico City, where we lived and enjoyed life in one of the biggest cities in the world. When our two daughters Kiara and Ana were born, we knew that we had to make a change. So we moved to Northern California, but we always looked back to the flavor, the people, the weather and the beautiful places of this great country. So we decided to get a little piece of that paradise. That’s how we ended up in San Jose del Cabo, a place where you can find one of the best places to play golf, fishing, surfing, diving, great weather and more……much more. And the best of all, so close to home. Bienvenidos a Casa Luna, our little piece of paradise. Here we have spent some of our nicest vacations. We are sure, you will to. Come to San Jose and make Casa Luna your little home away from your home.

The apartment was clean, spacious, had a well equipped kitchen, and it was conveniently located across the street from the beach. The building had secured parking spaces which was a bonus. However, the building faces one of the main roads of San Jose so it gets noisy. Traffic starts from 7am and dies down around 9pm. So it you are used to road noises, it might not bother you and this place will be just fine. But if you are looking for a quiet getaway, I would not recommend this apartment.
Owner response:Dear Marie! I am so sorry you found our place noisy. Feedback always helps to make things better and there is always room for improvement. As you know, we are right in the Hotel Zone and conveniently so close to everything, that sometimes it can get a little busy. That's why the door leading to the balcony has a special strip that goes all around it. So when you close it, it makes a tight seal and inside it stays nice and quiet. I am sure there was something wrong with it, we have never gotten any complaints about the noise. It probably needs some adjustments which I am taking care right away so this won't happen again. Now you have an excuse to come back to Baja and find out by yourself that it isn't that noisy. If you stay again with us, I am sure you won't regret it. Thanks for renting with us. Sincerely, Mark

My wife and our two daughters stayed here for several nights. It was GREAT! The property is gated so while we were upstairs snoozing or reading a book or whatever else the kids could be down at the pool goofing around without us and all we had to do was look out from the patio and the pool is right there. The beach is directly across the street- less than a 5 minute walk and warm white sand, blue ocean, and little breakers the kids could play around in. Tacos- This property is across the street from a few resorts and there is a local women who makes excellent tacos and sells them out of the back of her SUV- mostly locals and we gringos saddled up and our broken Spanish brought smiles- try the spicy pork- sooo good. Within walking distance is this weird but cool cactus museum and not far beyond that there are restaurants and bars that cater to tourists but go a bit further and you get the local fare.... a bit less money, better food and all the locals with their talk and their families. At the back of the property there is a golf course.... like you can walk right on to it- great for frisbee or tag. We stayed for several days and I could have stayed longer for sure... best of both worlds- close to stuff but not too far from natural relaxation and feels safe. Inside is clean and cool... tile, stucco some local art- all the stuff worked- rather small kitchen but we were able to whip up a few meals and margaritas, tv for vegging out and a nice big shower A really good bang for the buck, I look forward to coming back next year

The condo setup is great with a very nice pool area and it backs on a quiet golf course. The onsite manager (Esther Espinosa) was extremely helpful and looked after all our needs. There is some traffic noise from the street but it is not bad at all, just take some earplugs to ensure a sound sleep. The condo unit has everything you need for cooking at home, it has a nice size balcony overlooking the pool, the bed was OK but could use updating, and few things in the room did not work (ceiling fan, sometimes the TV, the phone, the clock radio) but all in all a nice setup for 2 adults if you are not looking for the ultimate in luxury. We would definitely go back again. The condo is located just accross a city street from a walkway that in 50 meters takes you out to the great San Jose Del Cabo main beach. The beach is great for walking at low tide as it is very flat and easy to walk. It is about 5 kms long and you enter the beach at about the 1/2 way point so you have a nice walk in either direction. Walking west to the end takes you to Zippers surf point and to the east takes you all the way to the new Puerto Los Cabos Marina at which there is a protected beach for swimming. They say the main beach is not suitable for swimming because of the undertow but for the 3 weeks we were there you could swim everyday as long as you are comfortable with 3 foot surf. We saw lots of people playing in the surf even young teens. We have had this type of surf in Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Playa Del Carmen and Ixtapa so it was not bad at all. Perhaps they have other times of the year where it is not safe but for us it was great. A short 5 block walk down the street gets you to the MEGA grocery store which has everything you need (its like a Walmart Supercentre) and has a food court and some smaller stores. You can also walk about 25 minutes into the town centre or right in front of the condo hop on the city bus and it takes you to centre town for 7 pesos (50 cents) per person. The town has a very good restaurant selection and we did not have a bad meal out. Favourites were Habeneros (great ribs) and Passaparola Italian Bistro (great pizza and pasta).
Owner response:Thank you so much for your review. We hope you had great weather! I am glad to hear that your stay in our Condo was pleasant. Just a quick update....... We fixed the ceiling fan, we got a new TV and we threw away the alarm clock (nobody really needs to know the time when they are on vacations, hahaha). Hopefully we will see you soon around here.

My husband and i stayed here for a week at the beginning of May 2010 before going to Los Cabos for a few days and wish we had just stayed on here instead! It is a lovely cosy apartment close to everywhere you would like to go to in this area. We hired a car as my husband had come to fish out of La Playita, which is about 15 mins away. The extra king size bed is super comfy and the air conditioning in the bedroom was very efficient and not too noisy.T. V has a good selection of channels and the free wifi was great too. The swimming pool is a good size and a great way to cool down. The garden is very pretty and immaculately kept. All in all we would highly recommend this condo. Thanks, Mark for letting us stay at your lovely little place.

The place was great. I love the location: right across from the beach, and nice quiet room. Great facility for the money. Nice pool, internet in the room (critical for me)fluffy towels, etc. I liked how easy it was to book it, and the onsite management was great! I will keep coming back here again and again!

Booked easily, found easily, key/water upon arrival worked out perfectly- Once we were there, it was perfectly centrally located, easy to get anywhere in town in San Jose, and right next to taxi and shared taxi shuttle stands to head to Cabo San Lucas. The apartment was clean, organized, everything we needed in the kitchen was there. We cooked up some amazing meals in that kitchen! The pool area was neat, and had its own kitchen for use at which we made more awesome meals! We were thrilled with the cable options, as the last place we stayed in Baja did not have a TV. We met Esther when she came to check if we needed more water, and she was very hospitable and helpful- giving us tips on where directions, and how to rent a car. The protected parking lot and coded gate made the condos seem very safe. The place had quite a few families we saw on a daily basis, headed out on adventures, or just down to the pool. I was very impressed by these condos; their accessibility while being safe, clean, and comfortable definitely made them a destination I would chose again. If I could change one thing about the Aloha Condos, i would want to be able to do laundry here- unfortunately only condo owners are allowed use of the laundry facilities. That being my only downside of these vacation rentals- I will definitely be back! Dreaming of the beautiful beaches right now!

April 09 - My wife and I spent a few days here for our honeymoon. We spent our first few days in a resort and the rest at Marks place. If I could do it all over again, I would skip the resort and only stay at Marks place. It was PERFECT. Its across the street from the beach and close to everything. Near a HUGE grocery store that has everything and if you dont want to walk you can always grab a cab, shuttle or bus just outside the door. You have the best of both worlds when you stay here, the beautiful golf course on one side and the beach on the other. Again, who needs a resort when you have Marks place. I cant wait for my wife and myself to go down there again. Thanks for everything Mark
Owner response:Hi Jesse....thank you very much for your input. We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay in San Jose. Have a great week.... Mark
