  Just came back from spending 3 days here with my family for my birthday. What a perfect birthday gift it was. The house was beautiful, spacious, clean, and had everything one could need (and more). The owner was great to work with and very accommodating. Incredible views! Separate outside studio was perfect for my husband and I to "get away" from the group occasionally and relax. Cozy closed-in courtyard for added privacy. Loved it so much, we hardly left the house during our stay. Can't wait to go back!

  We stayed in January for several days and secured the terms of the rental with the owner but paid through the rental agency (Oceanview Properties). The owner was responsive and very friendly. We experience great weather (only one day of rain) and amazing sunrises / sunsets. This is a well appointed home with lots of elbow room for large parties. My mom stayed in the guest house which provided nice privacy and allowed the rest of us to sleep in - she is an early riser. The home is conveniently located near the Del Mar Rec Center and the town of Gualala. It is also easy walking distance to Del Mar Point which provides great rock climbing, whale and seal watching. We made all meals in the home which has a nice selection of pots & pans for serious chefs. The hot tub on the back patio is truly the largest I have ever seen! The home has an enclosed garden area which is very convenient for vacationers who bring their dog (we brought ours - he's still smiling). A wonderful time was had by all and we will absolutely recommend Urban Escape to others.

  Our family has regularly vacationed at Sea Ranch for the past 15 years, renting various homes but Urban Escape is the best yet. My pre-teen nieces loved hiding out in the loft while our young grandchildren were able to nap in the quiet of the detached studio. At night we enjoyed watching the stars as we soaked in the hot tub out on the central deck. The home is located a short walk from the bluff. There were tidepools that the kids in our group could explore. On the particular trip, we were lucky enough to see a pod of whales making its way South. We are thinking of making Urban Escape the place we hold our annual family retreat!

  the home has a great open feeling that allows for cooking and being a part of the rest of the family. Worked out well for 2 families staying together and the guest house was great for the kids. The home was well equipped and felt very comfortable. Great lot with a beautiful row of coastal trees and view of the ocean.

  This house is in a great location. Comfortable and clean with super views! Perfect for family get togethers (great spot for kids), or get away weekends for the adults! Don't miss the stars from the Hot Tub!

  Our Guest Book was "walked-off" with a year ago, and we just recently put in a new book, and even though we thought about it, we didn't chain it to the coffee table. I bet the gushy writing found within the old one was so complimentary and adoring, that maybe a guest mistook it for a smutty paperback love story they had brought with them. Though I don't think we have found the one they left in trade, and I for one have been looking... :)
