Potter House is a cozy five-bedroom authentically restored mining cabin associated with DUNTON HOT SPRINGS, a luxury resort nestled deep in the San Juan Mountains of the Colorado Rockies. The only cabin rented out independently of the hotel during the winter months, Potter House is surrounded by national forest with all the amenities of a luxury resort at its door step, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and those seeking serenity in authentic accommodations.

Explore the surrounding beauty and wilderness on one of the many hiking, mountain biking, cross-country ski or snowshoe trails that leave directly from the property, then relax in the natural hot springs just a short walk down the road. Free of cell phone range, Potter House is equipped with a land line and high speed wireless internet. Price includes $150 cleaning fee mid-week for week long stays.


Take advantage of the ammenities offered at luxury resort, Dunton Hot Springs as well! Upon reservation, you may join hotel guests for meals & drinks in the Saloon. Relax with spa treatments or sign up for one of the many guided adventures offered at the hotel.

Fly-fish along the 9 miles of private Dunton water for $50 per day rod fee. Catch & Release waters.

A 1.5 hours to Telluride Ski Resort
Nearby airports include: Cortez, Telluride, Durango and Montrose.
