Why the Owner Chose Kirkwood
We chose to build our vacation home in Kirkwood not only for the unsurpassed snow conditions, but also for the family atmosphere. Since we live in the bay area, we also love the fact that we don't have to drive highway 80 or 50 and endure the traffic.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We made sure that our home is cozy and inviting. The kitchen and great room are one open area so everyone can join in on the fun. We have lots of games so people can interact with one another. During the summer months, we provide our guests with mountain bikes and inflatable kayaks to enjoy the surrounding areas. We have 360 degree views from our home.

We started going to Kirkwood several years ago and fell in love with the beauty and tranquility of the area. In 2000 we found a lot to build on. With the help of family and friends, it took us 7 years to build our dream home. We love sharing our home and want it to be a place where family and friends can come together and create life long memories.

I took a group of 10 people up to Kirkwood for a weekend of snowboarding and relaxation. Half the group went boarding, and it was great. The shuttle picked up the group right at the door and dropped them at the lift. The rest of us stayed in and enjoyed a totally relaxing weekend. Lots of great space in the main living area for sitting and playing games. The radiant heat floors are amazing. The kitchen is great for cooking and entertaining. The house is beautiful.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

Loved my weekend at Kleinwood! It was relaxing and beautiful with easy access to the forest for some great snowshoeing. It was clean and well taken care of with just about anything you need for cooking (a major bonus)! Overall a fantastic experience.

I have been to this cabin multiple times, and loved it every time! The cabin is spacious, modern and very comfortable. Beautiful views from the front balcony, and just a quick jaunt to the mountain during the winter for some of the best skiing/snowboarding in California. During the summer, it's great for hiking and swimming. I couldn't say enough good things about this place. An amazing cabin for a great price.
