Our one of a kind "Kailani House" welcomes you for wedding parties, special occasions and family/friend gatherings. The tropical gardens which feature exotic foliage, ever blooming flowers, private courtyard with waterfall and ponds are all an integral part of the in-door out-door living which makes the "Kailani House" a perfect place for relaxing in Hawaiian Style!
Enjoy 2 Master King Suite Bedrooms (opening onto the ocean with full ocean views), 1 private King Guest Room with lanai, 1 private King Guest O'hana with morning kitchen and lanai. The large professional kitchen (described in our amenity list) is a chef's delight. There is also a well equipped private office (which can sleep 2 twins), Theater Room (which can sleep 2), 4 1/2 bathrooms, full Laundry Room with Pantry and 2 car garage.

Outdoor living:
The entire back side of the home opens up through disappearing African Mahogany glass doors leading to a expansive covered lanai with outdoor kitchen. Views looking out to the ocean and 13 acres of private alkaline ponds preserve with wonderful sounds of the ocean surf, Pool and Waterfall Spa with extensive use of Lava rock around pool flowing into the lava rock ponds beyond.
The back gardens, and tropical landscape creates privacy and relaxation with strategically positioned palm trees with hammock overlooking the alkaline ponds. Entire backyard Lanai is illuminated by use of copper gas tiki torches and extensive use of reflective landscape lighting separating the home from the sea with Private beach access.
Other unique upgrades include signature Hampton Bay Ceiling fans, beautifully designed archways, and hand painted murals that capture the resonating theme of the mountain (east wing) and sea (west wing)of the Home.
The "Kailani House" was designed to bring the outdoor living into every room of the home thus making it most suitable for private, elegant living and entertaining. This home was designed with maximum exposure to views and most efficient and convenient utilization of space, with attention to every detail keeping in mind the use of Hawaiian Polynesian themes and architecture.

Our best ever Hawaiian vacation

The minute we arrived at this amazing home my family was completely overwhelmed by the beautiful landscaping all around us, courtyard waterfall and pond, gorgeous hawaiian and asian furnishings and murals, top of the line appliances, attention to detail and, most of all, the one-of-a-kind ocean and garden views from the oversized yard with pool and spa. Also, the tiki torches added something special at night, along with the Hawaiian sunsets that can't be beat. We couldn't have chosen a better home and location on the Kohala coast! The photos and descriptions provided by the owner do not fully capture the singular beauty of the "Kailani House." You have to see this home to really appreciate it. Our biggest disappointment was the day we had to checkout. This was a difficult time to say the least. However, we're already making plans to return later this year. We can hardly wait!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had a girls only multi gerational gathering of 8 celebrating 2 birthdays and graduation! The Kailanai House was absolutely fantastic and far beyond what we were expecting. We all live in very nice homes but this home was simply amazing. Some of our favorite things about the home was the great layout of the home with 2 massive wings opening out onto the ocean. We loved the giant disappearing doors that open the entire back of the home onto the pool and beautiful sounds of the ocean. This home is so quiet and private which we found so peacefull. We were in a tropical paradise exclusively all our own. The Great Room is Giant (!) again giving such a feeling of space and quiet. Kitchen was well supplied with high end appliances. Furnishings were world class with beautiful art and sculpture. We especially loved the 5' tall gold leaf Thai Angel in the dining room. .. bringing peace and light into the home. The pool and spa are so natural, blending in seamlessly with the tropical gardens and ocean just beyond! We enjoyed the beach there as well. Location of this elegant home couldn't be better because it faces the ocean and not the bay so the sounds of the waves and privacy was excellant. We saw whales breaching as we sat on our lanai's. We also enjoyed being able to walk every where... shopping, eating out, live performance at night and just getting groceries! We were so happy at this location we really stayed at home and within the Resort. The Kolea Villa's are high end as are most of the private homes. The rental process was easy working with Eileen. When we arrived we were greated with welcome gifts and the local person was helpful and available to answer a couple of questions we had. So many happy memories from our visit to Kolea Kailani House!
