Villa Tranquila has it all; beautiful turquoise hues of the Caribbean, a wonderful rooftop pool for you to enjoy, with downtown & beautiful beaches only a short walk away. Each room has its own furnished terrace for lounging. The rooftop terrace (partially covered with a palapa or thatched roof) offers magnificent views of the open sea & Mujeres Bay. It has a mini bar area with a fridge, sink, & toilet, as well as tables & chairs for enjoying spectacular sunsets while dining.
This newly renovated home includes the "Main House" (set up for 4 persons) and 2 Studios (set up for 2 each) one over the other in a separate blg. on the same property. The master bedroom and living room of the main house are oceanfront as well as both studios.
The first floor of the "Main House" consists of a sunken living room complete with built -in couches, comfy leather chairs, ottoman, cable T. V. w/ DVD player, and stereo system w/radio and CD player. The high speed internet router is in here also. Sliding glass doors lead to an outside terrace. A 1/2 bath, a well equipped kitchen, & dining area complete the first floor.
An indoor circular stairway leads to the second level which consists of 2 bedrooms, each with a private full bathroom. The oceanfront bedroom has a king size bed, leather easy chair & ottoman, cable T. V. & DVD player, radio/CD combo, clock radio, and fridge. The roadside bedroom has a queen bed, chair, table w/chairs, cable T. V. w/DVD player, radio/CD combo.
The 2 Studios are each equipped with an ensuite full bathroom, a queen bed, cable T. V. & DVD player, radio/CD player combo, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, sandwich maker, toaster, & iron w/ironing blanket, small couch, table & chairs. So, you are getting a lot more than just a 4 bedroom house!

Why the Owner Chose Isla Mujeres
The location was just perfect, being beside our other property and OCEANFRONT ALSO. It is hard to describe the warm feelings you get when you are on the rooftop watching the sunrise or sunset! It is gorgeous and wonderful! The breeze and the sound of the waves are captivating. We enjoy watching the traffic go by and we can see much of the island from the rooftop.
The Unique Benefits at this House
You can spend a whole day at a time on the rooftop without coming down at all. Just take food, plenty of drinks, a book to read, and lots of suntan lotion up there! Swim, sun bathe, eat, sleep, relax......a real vacation! Explore the beach, find shells, snorkel. This property is convenient to town, the shops, and restaurants. You will find the best food in the world right there on this little paradise island!

Mostly condos and a couple of restaurants- no private homes. White sand beach.
White sand beach where you can get good food- eat and drink all day and get chairs & umbrellas free all day. Sergio is the owner.

Garell and I have been married 36 years, have a son and daughter who are both married and have given us 4 lovely grandchildren. We have enjoyed Isla Mujeres, MX. for many years! In 2003 we purchased Casa Tranquila, which is located next door to Villa Tranquila. After hurricane Wilma in 2006, Villa Tranquila (called La Mission at that time) had not been as active as years before, so we contacted the previous owner, made an offer on it, and he accepted the offer. We closed on it 2 months later. We had it totally renovated and added the 3rd story (the rooftop pool and palapa area). It was ready about 3 months later. We were fascinated with the design of the house and felt it was a great opportunity for more rentals.
