Designed to share 5 acres of land with a collection of charming cottages, Lonesome Dove Cottage #1 was the first of 3 cottages to be built. Constructed in the year 2000, this unique cottage with all wood beaded board walls, beautiful stain glass accents and antique furniture rests on 1 acre of land.

The master bedroom, which has a queen bed, is located in a quaint loft area overlooking a comfortable sitting room and gallery kitchen that houses a stove, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The additional bedroom contains a beautifully restored antique three quarter wooden bed with a custom made mattress.

Exploring the outside of the cottage will guide you onto a back porch with seating for two or more. You will also find a laundry area with a washer and dryer. Venturing out further will lead you to a seating area centered around a fire pit that can be used for a bonfire or for creating a mouth-watering meal. All of this may be enjoyed while listening to your favorite music on an outside sound system.

Located on the North side of Canyon Lake, you can spend your day boating on the Lake with boat ramp access only minutes away at Jacob's Creek Park.

  • Lonesome Dove Cottage was great! Very peaceful and relaxing- this is what I think of when wanting to get away from it all. The cottage is very cozy and quaint, everything we wanted for a quick get away. Location is perfect- not too far from getting a nice dinner out. We were able to sight-see the lake from different areas. We hope to get a chance to come back in the Spring. Thanks a lot for letting us share your lovely cottage!

  • I have not stayed at these cottages, however, the owner gave me a tour and I must say that the property is immaculate and very well maintained. The owner put a lot of thought into the construction of these cottages. The landscaping and natural beauty of the land is also exceptional. A stay at Lonsome Dove Cottages would be an enjoyable experience.
