I've never stayed in a location that has taken my breath away the way this property has. The view, day in and day out, is something that you see on someone's calender in an office of a perfect getaway. Its in close proximity to anything you could want to do in the Florida Keys and the property makes you feel like you have a small little island all to yourself. Fishing, kayaking, swimming or just lounging and relaxing are all options in this exceptional locale. The house had an excellent layout for the 7 adults we had staying and everyone slept comfortably. The pictures on this site of this location are incredible but somehow do not do it justice, it has to be seen to be believed. I have already recommended this house to others and am due to come back in august of 2013. Worth every penny and couldn't book my next stay fast enough!

Best Vacation Ever!! The house is beautiful. Its location is even more perfect than the picture. Too much to do and not enough time to do it all, were coming back again. We were catching big fish right off the back. The wife and I drank wine and watched the Sun go down every day. That was Awesome!! The house was equipped with wireless internet, computer; kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We loved our stay at Casa del Mar. The house is beautiful and clean with a beautiful view. We had the best time. It was so nice eating stone crabs and playing games on the porch overlooking the water. We enjoyed the kayaks provided and eating at the Square Grouper 2 miles away. Our most fun was renting jet skis for 2days from the nicest place right next to the entrance to the neighborhood. So easy to go back to the house and eat then back out on the jet ski. The property is in a perfect location. We would definitely go back to Casa del Mar.

Great vacation spot. Right on the water. Close to nice restaurants and eating establishments. Fished right out of the backyard. Very nice accommodations. House laid out perfectly. Large kitchen and great room. Very nice screened in porch.

This was a great stay for my wife and I. Have stayed elsewhere in this development but this one was by far the best. Everything organized well, clean and the view was exceptional. Kayaks were an added benefit and fun to use. Everything worked well and only one call to the owner was answered right away. Thanks. Hope we can do it again.

HAD A GREAT TIME, KIDS HAD FUN SWIMMING IN THE CANAL, WE TOOK OUR BOAT OUT EVERYDAY OFF SHORE FISHING, ONLY 8 MILES TO GET TO BLUE WATER. WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN!!!

had a great time.... washer would not work after 2 loads, window in lower room would not close had to tape foil and towels as the temps dropped at night.... house needs updated

Owner response: Our first review less than 5 stars..... I only wish we had received a call so as to be afforded the opportunity to rectify any concerns. I checked and the prior tenant said window in question worked for them. No sweat, things break (and are immediately fixed once notified). Washer was checked out by maintenance and no problems other than having been overloaded and too much detergent was used. Every guest is supplied with owner's personal cell phone to cantact at ANY time, however, we can't address an issue we aren't made aware of. (See ALL other reviews)

Gorgeous house close to it all!

My wife and I recently retreated to this property to get away from it all for the Holidays. Man, are we glad we stayed here. The house is beautiful and well-maintained and the corner canal lot really addas a sense of privacy while affording you some amazing ocean views. The sunrises and sunsets here are absolutely unbelievable and this house gives you a perfect view. The owner was really professional, prompt and communicative, too. We loved our time here and will forever cherish the memories of swimming and kayaking around the canals. Oh, and two of the best restaurants in the Keys are very close by, so stop by The Wharf and The Square Grouper! We will definitely be back to Casa del Mar!

Beautiful house close to it all

My wife and I recently retreated to Casa del Mar to get away from it all over the holidays. Man, are we glad we did. The house is beautiful and clean and situated on a beautiful corner canal lot which really adds a feeling of privacy. The view of the sunsets and sunrises from the screened-in porch are absolutely breathtaking. The owner was very professional and prompt and communicative. We had so much fun kayaking and swimming right off the seawall and really felt like we had our own little piece of paradise for the week. One visit to the Keys and we are hooked! We will be back!!

Our stay was great. This property is awesome. Very clean and organized. It had everything you needed and more.The docking area for our boat and waterfront space is amazing. The easy access to open water is a plus. We felt at home and our children had a wonderful time. Location was excellent. Close to the keys, supermarket, beach and restaurants. The owners always responded to all our questions and very easy to reach. You will love it.

The perfect getaway!

If location is everything then this property has it all. It's spacious, clean, and well equipped. Located right on the water it offers a boat lift, kayaks, and one of the best sunsets I've ever seen. And best of all it's the perfect getaway for couples, or families with lots of room for everyone! The surrounding area offers something for everyone. The house is less than 30 minutes from Duval Street in Key West. This area offers shopping, bars, restaurants, sunset dinner cruises and more. And you are only 15 minutes from Bahai Honda State Park. This park has a top rated beach, snorkeling, and kayaking in a beautiful protected state park. I can't wait til my next opportunity to vacation at Casa Del Mar!

This was one of the best vacations we ever had! The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. The view was perfect and the water was clear and warm. We loved how it was close to so many attractions like Mallory Square and the beach, Dolphin Research Center, etc. But we had a quiet, peaceful place to come back to after all the excitement. Will definitely be back!

This was the perfect location. The house was gorgeous with an amazing view right on the water. You could step right into your backyard and never have to leave. Several of the days we stayed at the house and swam and layed out right there in our backyard. It was close enough to go to key west and right down the rode from Bahia beach which was a beautiful and relaxed state park. The house was well kept, and comfortable. The screened in back porch was also a favorite of ours. We grilled out several times and all sat on the back porch to watch the sunset! This is definitely somewhere you need to visit! I have never been anywhere like it...

This is my FAVORITE place to vacation...it's perfect for everything from trying to relax to getting out to party. I go once a year. I can't say enough on how amazing the views or location is! Honestly A MUST SEE!!!!!

The pictures don't do this beautiful home justice! A corner property surrounded by water. Gorgeous sunsets. I want to make this a yearly trip. This home's rental is a bargain for what we received!

THis property offers some of the most beautiful water views I have ver seen...Sunsets at this location are awesome! It offers modern amnenities and is comfortable and well decorated. Close to MANY attractions but still private.

Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This house is wonderful and in the most beautiful location. It's a corner property and has a beautiful view of the water. We kept our boat at the dock and kayaked the canals that surround this unique area in the world. The bedrooms are of good size and very comfortable and pretty rooms. The living area is open with views of the water while you cook. There is also a lovely dining room that overlooks the water. Life is good here. The owners couldn't have been nicer. This home is a winner!

We loved the location and the house in Summerland Key! We were close to restaurants, and to Key West. The home is in the perfect location for viewing the bay and the canal. It was quiet and peaceful there, The home is clean and well-kept, and we had a great time kayaking the canals and the bay while there!

Awesome home! Very well kept and conveniently located. We loved being so close to all the wonderful restaurants and Bahia Honda state park. We went to Key West a few times and had a great time walking and shopping at Mallory Square. My wife and I were engaged there 20 years ago and recently returned with our 3 children in order to share the experience with them. We took them to Louie's Back Yard in Key West for dinner (same place we celebrated our engagement). There's really no place in the world quite like the keys...love the lifestyle!

Thanks SO much for one of the best vacations we have ever had! You downplayed how absolutely beautiful the property really is. This home was priced far less than others listed without the location that this offeres. By far the most vacation for the dollar that we have EVER had. The first thing we did when we got home was to book again next year.
