Location: Bear Lake, Northwest, Michigan, USA (On Glovers Lake; 10 mi East of Arcadia; 10 min to Crystal Mt)
Accommodations: Victorian Home, 5 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 14-16)
Stay in this comfortable yet serene lake home in a very private setting. The home is situated on a bluff overlooking a small lake (Glover's Lake) on one side and 38 acres of private woods on the other.
This is a charming and unique, 2500-square-foot, Victorian-style home with hexagonal-shaped rooms, wood beams, and vaulted ceilings known affectionately as the "Castle." It was built as an estate home in 1930's by Chicago artist and teacher, Al Langan. Completely updated in the summer of 2002 with hardwood floors, a sun room, a modern kitchen, and two lake-side decks.
Breathe the clean air and luxuriate in the quiet of the secluded woods. Enjoy the many glorious faces of the lake from sunrise to sunset. With over a thousand feet of lakefront, it affords the privacy that a true retreat deserves. Savor the beauty of nature in this peaceful setting. Come enjoy breezy summer nights or the spectacular fall colors.
This is a perfect setting if you are searching and need a place to get away from it all, but do not wish to be far away from everything. If you want action, you can succumb to the allure of golf, shopping, restaurants, gaming, swimming, or the attractions of Crystal Lake or Lake Michigan all within ten to 35 minutes.

Oscar, as the Grandma or in our case the Omie, my husband and I want to thank you for the opportunity we had to stay at High Pointe with our family. We had a great week and enjoyed your home so much. As is the case with most families, we all have busy schedules but try to make it a point to spend time together and our vacation week was very special. We swam, fished ( although our four year old grandaughter was quite traumitized by the fact that fish are caught alive- we threw it back). We enjoyed our nature hikes, canoeing and swimming the Platte ( a family favorite), climbed the dunes, ate ice cream cones at Glen Arbor, dinner at Boones, played lots of games, had bonfires with Somores, read books, and put together two 1000 piece puzzles- a very satisfying week. We have five grandchildren, Anna 6 , Drew and Hadley 4 (cousins) one year old twin grandsons, Ben and Sam. Your home was perfect. Thank you- Omie and Papa Hermon, Heidi, Steve, Anna and Drew Pillen and Amy, Jim, Hadley, Ben and Sam Hermon.
