We celebrated my husband's 40th bday and it was wonderful! We will be most certainly be back! The house was large enough to accomodate families with young children and perfect for the grandmas too: -3 master bedrooms with full baths were a plus for extra privacy and comfort -there were 2 master bedrooms off to the corner which limited noise travel that were perfect for napping babies -large kitchen and dining area allowed for cooking for many while others could sit nearby for easy conversation -den had 2 futons, perfect for slumber parties and hanging out -there were two large areas for chatting: the kitchen/dining area and the den which is great for large parties -ground were clean and well kept -large parking lot for multiple cars When we arrived, the house was clean and Mila personally called to make sure we were fine. Mila was wonderful to work with and answered the multiple questions that I had before and during the stay! I will be recommending One Mesa to all my friends and family.

We, a group of 10, spent a 3-day weekend at One Mesa. We all arrived on Thursday and just hung out at the comfort of the home. We rented both the home and the cottage and they are both very lovely. On Friday some of us went hiking, some just took a walk to downtown Point Reyes, which is a straight line from Mesa Road, probably about less than a mile. On Saturday morning we picked up some fresh oysters and clams and went for a picnic at the Point Reyes National Park, with another group of friends. All in all, everyone of us enjoyed a nice, relaxing weekend and One Mesa is certainly a great place to provide everything we needed for a weekend getaway. I had a few phone conversation as well as email conversation with Mila, the owner prior and during the stay. She is very personable, helpful and just made it very easy for us to book and eventually enjoy this beautiful vacation place. Thanks again so much, Mila!

We rented One Mesa for our yearly reunion of friends…5 couples and we had a wonderful stay. The house was charmingly decorated and everyone had good things to say about it. The rooms were spacious and it was nice for all but one to have separate bathrooms and the beds were very comfy! The gardens surrounding the house are beautiful and add to the privacy. The kitchen is well-equipped and we made all our meals there. We loved the little town of Point Reyes Station and being so close was great. We also did some hiking and biking. The whole area is beautiful and there is much to explore. We will definitely be back!

The bedrooms were decorated with beautiful antique furniture and the beds were really confortable. The grounds are lovely with a very peaceful atmosphere. We would definitely rent this place again.

The facilities were large and comfortable enough for our family reunion. The location was very nice and convenient with a quiet neighborhood and some beautiful views and garden. The facilities were a bit worn and needed paint in some places, but all in all clean and all the rooms nice with comfy beds. The kitchen was large enough to for family style cooking, but seating area a bit small for a large family (a couple of foldup round/oval tables would have been nice). Location near Pt Reyes and coast was an excellent jumping off point for day hikes and explorations.

I just returned from a four day writing retreat with friends at One Mesa. It was magical. The rooms are private and secluded with lots of places to relax. Up to 5 people can have total privacy, though the house can sleep many more than 5. The views are beautiful, the beds fluffy and comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked. We can't wait to come back. Mila is very friendly and helpful and keeps the home just gorgeous. She even made sure we had wine, a cheese plate, and fresh flowers awaiting us when we arrived. She even let me bring my dog along. He spent hours on the deck watching deer in the field!

I can't say enough nice things about this place! We had a gathering of about 12-15 people for a 30th birthday party, and the space was perfect. In fact, the already beautiful pictures on the website do not do it justice. Each room is spacious and unique, and many come with private bathrooms equipped with large bathtubs. The property itself is very secluded and fenced off (which is great for dogs), yet stores, restaurants and activities (e.g. Tomales Bay Oyster Co) are just minutes away. On top of all that, the owner, Mila, was extraordinarily accommodating and a pleasure to work with. She even helped me find a masseuse for the birthday girl. Our only problem now is coming up with another excuse to rent this property!

We rented for a long weekend to hold a cooking competition; five couples plus judges and a small child. It was great for a large group - the dining area easily held us all at the long table. The kitchen was spacious with an island that made it easy to socialize while cooking. The view out the back was of the valley / river; every morning we were able to spot a few deer (which was exciting for the wee one). A quick trip into town brings you to the center of Point Reyes and its shops and festivals. We were fortunate to be there for the Fireman's Pancake Breakfast and Festival. I can't vouch for the other rooms, but the room we were in was spacious with its own bathroom and a daybed that was perfect for our young daughter. Quite comfortable. One room has a great clawfoot tub that you can soak in while looking out over the valley. We did forget a skillet lid while there, and the owner was very nice in tracking it down and getting it back to us.

We rented One Mesa (the house and cottage) this past Fourth of July weekend for a multi-generation family reunion - there were 10 of us - and the space worked really well for our group. There were ample places to hang out - both indoors and out - on the many decks (almost every room has one) - and near the bbq on the patio in the lovely and well-maintained garden. The kitchen was outfitted well for meal preparation- and putting two tables together enabled us to fit everyone around the table for dinner. We found Mila to be professional, friendly and responsive from start to finish- on the phone while booking, orienting us upon arrival- and speedy to return a phone call while we were there when we had a question about an appliance. The house was spotless- and the location superb- very close to town, and to the great Pt. Reyes beaches - but with a feeling of privacy. I'd highly recommend One Mesa for a group vacation like ours.

About the owner: We have spent much of our free time in adventure travel throughout the world. In the year 2000 we decided to celebrate by walking across Europe. We started at the North Sea and 4 months and 1,100 miles later found ourselves in Geneve. Traveling on remote pathways we stayed at countless vacation homes and bed and breakfasts. It was with that experience in mind that we designed One Mesa for short and extended stays. Our hope is that our guests will feel like One Mesa provides them the comfort and beauty that makes this the spot you will always come back.

Why the Owner Chose Point Reyes Station:
We discovered the wonder of Point Reyes over 30 years ago when we would come to the Pt Reyes National Sea Shore to be in nature and get away from the city on weekends. We fell in love with this amazing corner of the world, with its little village, surrounded by a wild and natural beauty that is hard to believe is so close to a metropolitan center. This is a perfect place to walk, hike, bike, do photography, horseback ride, kayak, paint, read, write or just plain BE. A great vacation spot for nature lovers and those wanting easy access to places like San Francisco, Napa, and Sonoma, while being in a quiet world away from the "maddening crowd".

The Unique Benefits at this House:
One Mesa, on the sunny Pt Reyes mesa, is so centrally located that you can walk to town, drive 5 miles up to Marshall for a quick Kayak on the Bay or pop over (HQ 2 miles away) to the National Sea Shore Park for an all day hike...or just sit on one of your many decks and enjoy the sky, the birds and the hot tub right without leaving the property! The deer do come right into the back field and the occasional bobcat has been seen prowling about. We spot Hawk and other feathered friends just sitting still.
