Had a blast celebrating our birthdays here!

This is a great place to stay especially if you have children. The place is in a gated community and it is safe enough to allow the kids the freedom to go to the community pool or beach just a 100 yards or so from the front door. The property manager came by after we arrived and took us to the grocery store. I loved the balcony and could have stayed there all week. Great view from all the rooms in the townhouse. While the resturants are expensive I would recommend Nesbits (out of the property and to the right) or taking the jitney #10 to Fish Fry (it also goes into downtown Nassau). Recommend trying the local favorites as you can always have a burger when you get home. Ask about taking a private tour from Raymond where you can learn the history and cultural aspects of the island. Check out Stuart's Cover for awesome snorkling experience. It is great and it saves your wallet. Ask the property manager for other great tips for a more enjoyable stay. The family enjoyed this trip so much we plan to return in 2013.

Nassau in August 2011

What a fantastic location and visit. We had a fantastic time. Barbie and Barb were very good with their recommendations and help when needed. Barb helped us get a rental car which was a very good investment for this trip. Our condo deck was over the water facing west so that we could watch the beautiful sunset every day. We saw sea turtles and an Eagle Ray in the bay off our beach. The Power Boat Adventure recommended by Barb was the highlight of our trip and I would recommend it to anyone! We hope to visit again some time.

Wow! What a fantastic and beautiful condo! The ocean view was fantastic and the sunsets off the patio were undescribably BEAUTIFUL. We went snorkeling on the beach and saw several starfish, turtles, and fish so dont forget the snorkeling equipment. The condo had everything needed for lounging at the beach. The kitchen had all the amenities and the store was within walking distance. There is so much to do on the island from Atlantis, to swimming with dolphins, parasailing, offshore fishing, to swimming with stingrays and sharks. After you are exhausted from all your adventures you can go back to the condo and just lounge on the patio and listen to the ocean crashing on the rocks and watch the sun go down. The food on the island was very expensive but with a full kitchen and a store close by you can save alot of $$ if you want. Barbra was a fantastic hostess and was willing to help us any way she could. The information she provided us was priceless, there is not much she does not know about the Island. The unit was very clean and well maintainedand the Vonage phone and wireless internet in the unit was great and allowed us to keep in touch with everyone we needed back in the states at no cost. If we go back to the Bahamas this condo will be at the top of the list of places to stay and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone wanting a vacation in paradise.

This property is in a lovely ocean side setting. It is extremely well maintained and very clean. Both the owner and assisting staff are very attentive and immediately responsive to any concerns you may have. The location is a quiet, safe setting but very accessible to excellent nearby restaurants, grocery and "jitney" (bus) service into town. That will cost $1.25 each way and takes approx. 20 minutes. There are 2 swimming pools on the property with also easy beach access. Very good place for a relaxing vacation.

A relaxing getaway

Date of Stay: 04/02/11 Review Submitted: 06/03/11

We stayed at Tranquility the first week of April 2011. Barbara was AMAZING, sh helped so much with getting around and fixing the few out of the ordinary issues that we had come up. We loved sitting on the patio all morning with the water so close you felt like you were on it! The complex and pools are a bit dated, but all and all it was a good vacation. We had our one year old and it was quite challenging getting around by foot as there are no sidewalks out of the complex. The buses come all the time, but we like to walk so it was a bit of a disappointment. Bert was very accomodating as well, he tried to make sure any issue we had (internet, patio shutters) were resolved for us.

Best Family Vacation

Date of Stay: 04/01/11 Review Submitted: 01/05/12

My family and I stayed at the condo, and enjoyed every minute of it. We went with 6 adults and 2 small children. The villa was everything you could ask for. It had 3 floors with the living area, kitchen and bathroom on main floor, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on second floor and a large loft bedroom on 3rd floor. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and one of the bedrooms had a balcony. The ocean was 30 feet from the back deck (very beautiful) and the ocean was also steps away from the front door as well. The beach was amazing and very clean. There wasn't large waves comming into the beach, good for small children. Snorkelling off the beach is a site to see. The grounds featured 2 pools, both very nice. From the one pool you can see the main beach and Atlantis off in the distance. We didn't need to rent a vehicle as the bus picks you up and takes you anywhere on the island. Food at resturaunts is fairly expensive, but we went to the grocery store (3 minute bus ride) and prepared our own meals most nights. Our family stayed at the tranquility for a week and then went to Atlantis for 3. To tell you the truth, we enjoyed Tranquility more than Atlantis because it was very peaceful. I can't wait to go back:)

Stay here if your going to Nassau

Date of Stay: 02/12/11 Review Submitted: 03/01/11

I wasnt't sure we wanted to stay that far away from the downtown, but I forgot how small the island was, and the buses are literally running all the time and cheap clean and super polite. Plus their isn't a ton to be done downtown, so with our 9 month old this place was amazing. Barbara was so helpful, and the home was in a great little private community on the point. The house was very clean and cozy, and the back patio is great, we loved listening to the waves at night. We'll be back when our lil guy is older, probably have to go try Bert's other rental on Paradise Island. You won't be disappointed here! We had a great trip with Diving, Fishing and Sun sun sun!

Great Home, Great Holidays

We were very happy with the house. Barbara was great from the beginning and very helpful. We felt at home. We love the fact that we did not have to get dressed everyday to go out for restaurants, etc. We had a problem with the AC one night which was fixe the same night. Very good service.....We spend most of the time by the pool swimming in the ocean. Place was quiet and we really rest which was the reason of this holiday for us. I do not hesitate to recommend this lovely townhouse to anyone who wants to relax. One thing to improve we would have love to have cushion on the outside dining chairs as we sat most of the time there, it was hard on the beh......Very close to restaurants, grocery, etc

Our Bahamian Adventure

Guest: Barbara K. (Bloomington, IL)
Date of Stay: 08/10/10 Review Submitted: 09/04/10

We stayed at Tranquility 2 from August 10th-17th and had a wonderful time. The townhouse was big enough for six people, my husband and I and four boys (11-20), and the patio was amazing! Delaporte is far enough away from the action to be very quiet and peaceful, yet only a 15-20 minute jitney ride to downtown. The townhouse itself was very clean and well equipped and we ate two out of three daily meals at home which saved us quite a bit of money. Barbara was a tremendous help and took us to the grocery store and helped transport our large crew back to the airport when we left. She also told us to mention her name when going on our Powerboat Adventure and this ended up saving us over $60! She is travel coordinator, taxi driver and housekeeper all rolled up in one and deserves a huge raise! We highly recommend Tranquility 2!

Tranquility Nassau 2 - A great place

Guest: Tom (North Carolina)
Date of Stay: 07/11/10 Review Submitted: 07/23/10

We recently spent a week at Tranquility 2 with our three adult children and had a great experience. The three floor accomodations were spacious and well kept. The assistance provided by Barbara during the entire stay was just outstanding. While the #10 jitney to town is very convenient and cheap it took longer than expected and be prepared for very expensive cab rides if you are traveling anywhere after 7PM. The unit itself was well situated with snorkling right off the back deck and a nice beach just a short walk out the front door. Only thing I would not recommend is going to the Crystal Palace Casino in Cable Beach. Very few gaming tables, people were rude and casino would not even pay our sports betting winnings until after 2pm the next day.

Perfect Place....Perfect Location...

Date of Stay: 06/17/10 Review Submitted: 07/03/10

The condo and location were fabulous; conveniently located to everything. The accommodations were clean, and everything you could need was provided. We BBQ-d fresh fish several times on the back patio while enjoying the beautiful sunsets. We went scuba diving, deep sea fishing, jetskiing, and even took a trip to the outer Cays. All of this was accomplished right from the front gates of the property. We even found the best snorkeling was off the back of the unit vs. numerous other locations on the island. The Wi-Fi worked great and allowed the kids to keep in touch with their friends and share their experiences in real time. Barbara is the greatest. She helped us with everything we needed and always had great recommendations on activities and restaurants. Everyone we met and/or dealt with was professional and very service-minded. We'll be back!

Amazing Vacation!

Guest: Julie, Dave, Kristie and Shawn (North Tonawanda, New York)
Date of Stay: 06/05/10 Review Submitted: 06/13/10

Tranquility Nassau 2 was sensational! My husband and I (50+), my daughter (19) and her boyfriend (22) are still wishing we were there! The villa was very well maintained, clean and quiet. The private beach was just that! Several days we were the only ones taking advantage of the quiet beach and wonderfully warm ocean water. Barbara was an amazing hostess! She offered to take us grocery shopping when we arrived and was extremely helpful throughout the week when we inquired about things to do and places to go. Barbara also kept the villa spotless! About the price of food - after reading many previous reviews I actually packed one entire suitcase of non-perishable foods including breads and bagles (in hard, plastic containers from the Dollar Store) and had no problem with customs. This reduced my grocery bill once there to about $97 for things such as milk, juice, fruit, vegetables and meat for the nights we ate in. The Poop Deck and Beach Club Cafe are right outside the security gates and dinner for 4 including drinks and dessert will run you between $180 and $200 including the tip. Be careful when you dine out as the bill already includes a 15% tip but you are free to add more. We never ate at Twin Brothers which is on the way to downtown, but Barbara said the seafood is great there. Once you get downtown check out the Straw Market - what an experience! Also downtown (and on the way) you will find the more well known eateries such as Starbuck's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Domino's Pizza, The Hard Rock Cafe and Senor' Frogs. We opted to ride the jitneys as opposed to renting a car. The jitney (bus) stop is also right outside the gates and costs $1.25 per person one way. We visited Atlantis for a few hours and while it was very lovely, my daughter, her boyfriend and I all thought the same thing - it reminded us of one of the more upscale hotels on the Las Vegas Strip - alot of fancy, ornate decorations and extremely pricey stores and restaurants. Absolutely all of the Bahamian people we met were so friendly and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We did visit the beach at Bert's private club one day and it was glorious! Living near Buffalo, New York where we pretty much experience only winter, an "iffy"summer and a very little bit of fall, the clear blue ocean was breathtaking! Our week's vacation went entirely too fast! We promised ourselves we will go back! Thank you Bert!

My family and I stayed at Tranquility 2 in April of 2010 and we absolutely loved it! Great spot, close to shops and the grocery store. Also very close to great local resturants! The location is also very safe! Its in a gated community right on the ocean. The small patio on the back is awesome! We had some amazing views at sunset! We had some issues with the vonage for a couple of days while we were there, but Bert and Barbara were very professional and prompt in making sure everything got fixed! Also the A/C in the top floor bedroom didn't work but it wasn't too much of an issue because it wasn't that hot at night if you opened the windows. Barbara was so great, she helped us with everything/anything we needed or had questions about and also gave us great recommendations on things which was so helpful! There are DVD's in the entertainment center to watch which came in handy when we didn't have TV for a couple of days! Also there was an Xbox and a CD player. The unit was very clean! there was a cleaning service every couple of days or so. The place looks exactly like the pictures if not better! The unit is decorated very nicely and has a true island feel to it! Bert also invited my family to be guests at his beach club on the island. It was the most beautiful beach I've ever seen and we had access to the entire club for the day! My family definitely felt at home and would definitely stay there again! The only thing I would reccomend is definitely stock the pantry when you first get there. Dining is super expensive in the Bahamas and it will save you a ton of money to just cook your own meal rather than dine out. Also, I wouldn't recommend eating at the poop deck next door... mediocre food and super pricey! Otherwise the place is excellent! True paradise!

Excellent property....location, amenities and layout as pictured. It is well maintained and clean. The owner is very accessible if needed and most willing to insure a pleasant experience. The property has 2 lovely pools and easy access to a great sand beach. There is a grocery store approx. 1 mile away and if you do not rent a car the cleaning lady will drive you there upon arrival. There are 3 restaurants within easy walking distance. The local bus "Jitney" stops just outside the complex. You can ride this along to Cable Beach casino (approx. 10 minutes) or all the way into downtown Nassau (approx. 20 minutes). This rental is perfect for a quiet, relaxing vacation offering gorgeous views.

A great family vacation

Guest: Group of seven (Montreal, Canada)
Date of Stay: 02/13/10 Review Submitted: 04/12/10

We rented Tranquility Nassau 2 for a week in February. There were seven of us - we are a family of 5 (which includes 3 young kids) plus one set of grandparents joined us. The townhouse easily accommodated everybody. There are 3 large rooms each with a full bathroom. The accommodations were clean and the living area on the main floor was spacious. The patio off the back of the condo practically hangs over a rocky shore of the ocean. There is a super beach a 2 minute walk away where we swam at least once a day. We did not rent a car and relied instead on the bus service, which was excellent, and passed by the main gates of the complex on a regular basis. It was an easy 20 minute drive into downtown Nassau. The temperature was slightly below seasonal while we were visiting, and as a result the unheated condo pools were a little cold and so we couldn’t really take advantage of them. Bert was kind enough to invite us to swim in the pool at his beach club. Overall, we had a great time and look forward to staying at Tranquility Nassau in the future.

Date of Stay: 01/30/10 Review Submitted: 02/09/10

We spent a week at this condo while we were staying on New Providence Island. The location was very nice, and with 24 hour security to enter the condominium community we always felt safe. Bert and his crew were always available to answer our questions and help us feel comfortable during our stay. The condo has a fabulous view out over the ocean from the balcony. In the evenings we would sit there, listening to the waves crashing into the rocky shoreline. It wasn't sandy beach, but that was okay, because it was very private, and still right on the ocean! The condo was very comfortable for our group of 5 adults and 2 children. We grilled out on the balcony one night, and had a great dinner that we all agreed was a special experience. We also ate out at several places during our stay. We were not impressed with the Bahamian restaurants. The Fish Fry is overrated and every tourist we saw there were eating at "Twin Brothers" The restaurants don't even have bathrooms. I don't recommend them. Also we had locals coming up to us and trying to sell us drugs. We opted to eat at the big resort hotels on Cable Beach, and had superb dining! Amici's was fantastic. Moso was also very good! The Green Parrot downtown Nassau was a nice spot along the ocean, and the sailboat crowd seem to like it for it's location, but the food was less than good. Don't bother trying the conch fritters there...they didn't bother to cut out the tougher parts of the conch...leaving it rubbery and gross. But all in all our trip was fantastic. Must see is Stuarts Cove along the south coast. They have great snorkeling charters. Nice people too. Also, I recommend renting a car. The island is big enough that you will be glad you did.

My family stayed here for a week in November 2009. Everything about the condo was great. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. Barbara, the cleaning woman, came every day except Sunday to clean and was very helpful with local information. Also, you can make free phone calls to the U.S. from the condo which was really nice! They had a smooth wireless internet connection and lots of cable TV stations. The view of the water was beautiful although you couldn't swim off the back porch since it's very rocky and the water could be rough at times. The breeze from the ocean was very nice at night and we ate a couple of times on the porch. The kitchen was well equipped and there are 2 nearby grocery stores a short drive away. Food is much more expensive than in the states so I would recommend bringing stuff. If we return, we would bring as much food as we could pack. Still, making breakfast, most lunches and a couple of dinners at home was relaxing and much less expensive than eating out for every meal. We rented a car and found it useful to get to and from the airport, go out to restaurants, go to town and do some sightseeing. Cabs are very expensive and most restaurants and sightseeing is a drive. The Poop Deck restaurant is next door to the complex, it was good but not excellent. There are 2 pools at the condo property and a small beach, you can also walk over to the other beach in front of the poop deck restaurant which was pretty much deserted except for when a group from a cruise ship tour arrived for a couple of hours. The beach was nice and great for lounging in the sun, there was a bit of seaweed but I think that probably depends on the season. There was also some trash scattered among the seaweed along the beach. The owner let us use the access from one of his other condos on Paradise Island to use the beach there. That beach was livelier and the water was clearer. The condo on Paradise Island looked great too, as it was right off the pool and directly on the beach. We were also invited to the owner’s club one day and the beach there was spectacular. The bartender at the beach told us it was the best beach on the island of New Providence actually. We all had a fantastic trip and would definitely stay here again and recommend it!

Best Birthday Vacation Ever!

Guest: Dana R. (Miami, FL USA)
Date of Stay: 11/19/09 Review Submitted: 11/25/09

First I would like to say Thank you for helping me have one of the very best birthdays to date! The Tranquility II really exceeded my expectations. Bert was very quick and professional with responding to my inquiries and placing my reservation. Barbara greeted us when we arrived and she was extremely and helpful. Bert really hired a great person to oversee the property. The phone wasn't working, but Bert had it fixed immediately. The townhouse includes a Vonage phone so you can make free calls! This is great so you don’t have to worry about huge charges on your cell phone or buying phone cards. The property grounds were very well kept and gated. The unit itself is very clean, tv's in every room. There are DVDs, cd player, and an XBox for entertainment. The only thing you need to bring is food to stock the pantry. We grilled out one of the nights on the patio and watched the sunset on the ocean as we ate. The pictures represent Exactly what this place looks like and you will not be disappointed. The bus stops right in front of the property; it's the #10 ($1.25 per person each way) and it goes into downtown Nassau on Bay street where you will find the famous Straw Market (you can buy trinkets and bargain for merchandise), diamond dealers, Starbucks, a couple of banks, Pharmacies, and other stores. A few minutes before the market is a place called the Fish Fry where there are local restaurants that sell the best seafood, steak, and chicken. We ate at a place called the Twin Brothers and it was delicious. If you get there before 4pm, they have a very reasonably priced special (lobster tail for $14.99!). You can also ask to be let off at the Food Store to buy groceries. Once you get into town, you can walk behind the straw market and pay $6 round trip per person to take the Ferry to Atlantis Paradise Island. After being at the tranquility property, Atlantis was boring! I am so glad we chose to stay at Bert's property instead of at Atlantis. It was fun to go to the casino, however. Tips: Bring plenty of money for groceries. The Bahamas is expensive and eating out is going to cost you a lot. If you go to the straw market, do not accept the first price given. All of the merchants sell the same items, someone will sell it to you for the price YOU want to pay. The citizens are very nice and always provide great service so it is good to tip them, but they will not insist you do like on other Caribbean islands like Jamaica.

Owner response:Thanks for staying with us!

Our family had the pleasure of enjoying this spacious condo from Oct. 6-13, 09 and we were more than relaxed from the moment we arrived until we came home. The sunsets are amazing on the patio with a few cocktails. We were going to a wedding in Nassau and Cable Beach is just a short taxi ride into town. The condo is located on a very quiet area of Cable Beach at Delapointe and is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Nassau. We made sure to get to Paradise Island and that was great for a couple of days but if you want relaxation you have it at Tranquility #2. The condo is very clean and well equipped with all necessities....I would only recommend that Bert supplied a couple of fins and snorkels for the travelers that didn't bring them with them. The snorkelling is great just off of the patio. We spent a few days at the pool and a couple at the secluded beach that was a great place for soaking in the salt water. I would definitely recommend this condo for a group of 6 whether it is couples or family. Barbara who will meet you and take you to the grocery store upon getting settled is a hidden gem amongst this villa. She will do anything you ask. We also used Perry for driving us around and although the #10 jitney is right outside the door, we found with a group it was nice to use a driver as he would stop at the store when bringing us home so we could pick up any more supplies that we might need. Make sure you walk to Nesbitt's restaurant for a dinner as it is more of a local place and you get a true taste of Bahamian cuisine. All in all we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Bert

Tranquility Nassau 2 was a lovely condo convenient to the ocean and pool. A bit far from downtown Nassau, but a quick jitney ride took care of that. Don't expect to take a jitney after 6 pm, however. Taxis will be needed for nighttime fun (expect to pay $30 each way for a ride downtown). All in all a lovely clean condo with maid service. What more can you want for a great vacation?!

Beautiful bahamas getaway

Guest: Calfam (CA, USA)
Date of Stay: 07/30/09 Review Submitted: 08/11/09

This rental was a beautiful Bahamas getaway. We had 7 people and although it was a little cramped when it was time to sleep, we all had a great time. The home is well maintained and kept in good repair. The colors are beautiful and beds comfortable. TV's in every room insures that everyone is happy. It was wonderful to have great snorkeling and a nice beach within steps of the home. The pools were beautiful when cleaned, but had a tendancy to become "green" every couple of days. However, we still loved to swim in them. The best snokeling was off the rocks outside the livingroom deck. Snorkeling off the pier was random, some days good, some not. Trash seems to accumulate there after storms. Barbara was very nice and met us the first day to go over the house. Although housekeeping was supposed to be everyday (expect Sundays and holidays) it wasn't. We saw Barbara two times and she did a great job cleaning when she came. We had another lady come one day but she only vaccumed and stayed maybe 15 minutes. So for 9 days we had housekeeping 3 days. The owner, Bert, was very nice. When we had trouble with the air conditioning, he let us know how to fix it immediately. He also invited us to his club, which was a wonderful day. We can't thank him enough for his hospitality. The location is relaxing and away from the usual tourist traps. However, because you are out from the town, dining choices are more limited unless you want to drive. I would recommend a rental car unless you want to stay home and cook. The #10 bus does pick-up right outside the gate and is convient for small groups, but a little more difficult if you have larger groups. Most dive companies and tourist companies have vans to pick you up for activities. Overall, I would recommend this place for people who want to relax and enjoy the beautiful ocean. This place is good for people who like snorkleing and enjoy simple pleasures. If you like fancy hotels and an exciting nightlife activites, you should stay closer to town or on Paradise Island.

My husband and I and our friends were looking for a condo that was on the water and close to the major resorts in Nassau. We were very pleased with our stay at the Tranquility #2. The ocean is right off the back deck, and a lovely swimming beach is only a few steps away. The condo was clean and well-equipped, including a beach umbrella and chairs, and items for a baby. Bert was helpful and the taxi driver was readily available. One minor inconvenience was that we occasionally had problems with the A/C in the 3rd bedroom, but after the sun went down in the evening it would kick back in. This was a very affordable and very nice alternative to staying at a huge, all-inclusive, expensive resort. We were very happy with our choice.

This has to be one of the best vacations my family has ever taken! Usually, at the end of the week we are about ready to go home - but not this time! We all still want to be back at tranquility! Everything was as advertised or better! Our group consisted of my wife and I (fifty somethings) our 20 year old son and 25 year old daughter who each brought a friend - 6 total. The layout was awesome - first floor for group things, bedrooms well isolated for getting away for a while. The kitchen was well appointed (and used heavily by us as our kids are not big on dining out). Food at the grocery stores is very expensive, so think about bringing along what you can. The two pools and and quiet beach was great for evenings and quiet sunning. When you want to be more active, the jitneys are very convenient to go to Cable beach or downtown/Atlantis. You can do it all from here! We plan on making this a favorite place that we will return to! A big reason is barbara - who took great care of us. She is a fabulous representative for Nassau! One thing to note, the jitneys, like everything in the Bahamas is very casual - service tapers off 9-3:00 and the farther west you go, the more sporadic the service.

Rating: 4/5 Overall, my wife and I were very pleased with our stay and we would definitely recommend it to anybody, and have already done so. It is rare when one of the only complaints you can think of is the fact that the ocean is so close that it occasionally gets a bit noisy on the deck! This spot is a little bit away from the downtown area, so you will need to rent a car if you don't like to ride the jitneys. Myself, I found the jitney rides very entertaining. The townhouse was very clean and the owners and staff very helpful. No complaints there, other than the occasional ant, which seems to be a Bahama-wide issue. I wouldn't really recommend this place for young children, since there are not a lot of local activities, other than the pools, and so you'd need to travel a lot. But older kids would be fine. The onsite pools were not fantastic, but it didn't stop us from using them. The beach area was definitely below par, but there are lots of nearby beaches within walking distance. All in all, a great place and a worthwhile stay. We'd do it again.

We chose Tranquility 2 for a one-week family vacation, and it was a great choice! We were a group of two couples and a child, ranging in ages from 60-something to 7, and we all enjoyed the townhouse tremendously! What we liked best were: Location: - The unobstructed sunset views from several locations in the townhouse were awesome! - The #10 bus stop is located just outside the front entrance to the development. The buses were clean and ran frequently - we generally waited less than five minutes for a bus. - Both the townhouse as well as the entire development are in a quiet location. - The Poop Deck restaurant, located right outside the front entrance to the development, serves excellent food. Features: - There are two pools overlooking the sea, a sandy beach, and a pier. There is good snorkeling around the pier. -The townhouse was immaculately clean, and the grounds were nicely landscaped and kept clean. - There were numerous entertainment options, including 4 televisions, a DVD player, Xbox, CD players, radios and board games. Hospitality: - Bert, the owner, was extremely generous and personable. He recommended several activities and was very knowledgeable about the Bahamas. - Barbara, the property manager/housekeeper, was also a real gem. She was exceptionally flexible and accommodating. We highly recommend this property!

A week of fun and family....... Townhouse was cute, clean and well appointed. The sea breezes flow right through with it's sunny exposure, sun bath and relax on the large balcony. It is fully furnished, with kitchen, all utensils and a dining room. All linens are supplied, ready to move in. If you are interested in TV there are flat screens in all 3 bedrooms and living room. The owner, Bert, is extremely kind and considerate. From the initial phone conversation, right up to the final day of our trip, Bert was an incredible source of accurate and up to date island information. We have many fond memories of our trip to the Bahamas and look forward to our next visit.

The Beauty of Nassau

Guest: HAHL (Charlotte, NC)
Date of Stay: 04/14/09 Review Submitted: 04/26/09

Our family spent a great week in this beautiful, tranquil property. What you see on the web is what you will get, a nicely decorated and newly furnished and renovated townhouse directly at the ocean. The townhouse is well equipped and provides you with beach chairs, sunumbrella, beach towels and games for evenings on the ocean front patio. The residential area was very quiet, has beach access and two pools. Sometimes we were the only ones at either beach or pool, so this is a great location if you seek distance to the crowded hotel beaches or Paradise Island and enjoy to relax. Depending on the currents, the beach may get a lot of seaweeds and it is with about 600 feet not a walking beach, but this does not matter when you are there alone. The supermarket is about 10-15min walk, or you take a jitney. A car is not really needed. Bert was of great help and organized us the transfer to the airport and provided us with insights about the island and what things to do or not to do. The Ardastra Gardens with the parrot feeding are nice for little children.

This property was part 2 of our stay in Berts properties. We cannot say enough about Bert & his wife Sylvia and the help they extended us during our stay. This was a very nice place to stay...allowing us to see another scenic part of the island. We loved this home as much as the "Sunrise"home. We would most definately return to this place again.

We had a great stay at Tranquility Nassau 2. The condo was very clean and comfortable. We were traveling with teen age children and it was nice for us all to have our own space. All the rooms have their own TVs and there was even an xbox and other games for them to play when we had down time. The view from the balcony is nice and bus service is just a few steps away. One of our party was on crutches and he didn't mind the walk to the bus. The owner was very hospitable and we were treated very well. When we arrived we were even driven around to pick up groceries and beer. Over all a nice quiet place to stay.

This was a fantastic location for our family of four. The gorgeous photographs on the website are accurate. Oceanfront. Not sliver-of-oceanview-between-two-highrises-if-you-stand-on-your-tippytoes-and-lean-way-over-the-balcony but genuine waves-crashing-outside-your-window-as-you-fall-asleep oceanfront. Plenty of room to spread out. We had four people but it would be just as comfortable for six. And rather than trying to entertain small children in restaurants, they had free run of the condo while we BBQ’d dinner on the huge patio and watched the sun go down. So relaxing! We couldn’t have asked for a better location, part way between the airport and downtown, close to good restaurants and a grocery store. We looked at other condos but Tranquility 2 was the most convenient to the most amenities. And when we did travel by jitney, we never waited more than 3 minutes for it. The owner and maid both went above and beyond to ensure the best possible vacation for us. Thanks for that! And the hardest part of the vacation? Choosing from the dozens and dozens of sunset photos when we got home.

Stayed for 5 days in March at the Tranquility after a week at Atlantis. Great location to complete our vacation. Beautiful sunsets on the patio(s) after a day at the very quiet beach. The owners and housekeeper were extremely helpful with any issues. The unit was extremely clean, modern and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with all you need for cooking, etc. We will certainly be back.

Amazing time in Nassau

Date of Stay: 02/07/09 Review Submitted: 04/13/09

Hi, Summary for the attention deficit people; my stay at Tranquility was excellent, I would recommend it again without hesitation. For the people seeking a few more details... The original plan was to have our party (2 couples with 1 child) rent two rooms at Atlantis for a week. After going through the various packages, we realized that renting a property could be more advantageous for several reasons. I looked around several web sites and found Tranquility - the property seemed to fit our needs the most - an expectation was now set. A few notes on my stay; -The owner, Bert, was extremely hospitable and went out of his way to make our stay as great as possible. This included him buying a few items for my son (high chair, etc). -The townhouse location was perfect and in a great location, only 10 minutes from downtown Nassau -The townhouse had all the amenities you could ask for, staying in and cooking is a great option. -Being directly on the ocean was perfect - waking up to the sound of the waves or having a bottle of wine at sunset was perfect In summary, I would highly recommend anyone considering a stay in Nassau to think about renting Tranquility. I am a a guy with high expectations and Bert did not disappoint. Robert, Montreal

We had the opportunity of spending a week in Nassau in late January 2009. We felt very fortunate to stay at Tranquility 2. The condo is immaculate, bright and has a breath taking view of the ocean. A short jitney ride took us to all the sites on the island. We would hightly recommend this condo. In fact, we are already planning our next visit to Nassau and we fully intend to stay at Tranquility 2 .

I live in Toronto and escaping the winter to this beautiful island was the greatest thing ever. Tranquility Nassau, the townhouse, is located in a very quiet and secure neibourhood overlooking the water and I don't think I'll ever feel quite as home as I did there! My husband really enjoyed swiming there, the water was so warm. I can't say anything bad about the accomodations, the decore, furniture and rooms were all very nice, nothing was worn out and everything was VERY clean, which was great. Also it was so easy to grab the bus for those days downtown shopping so the location was perfect. I reccomend anyone else also takes a trip to Paradise Island, it's a bustling tourist attraction, and the hotel Atlantis is a must see! I'll be back!

We could also take the bus on the corner to down town Bahamas and go shopping ( I love that part). I would defently come back again.
