Experience the Pacific Northwest – Island Style while staying in our lovely vacation home overlooking the Ocean to Vancouver Island B.C. Located on the west side of San Juan Island, this beautiful, privately located, romantic ocean view home was custom built with attention to the creative details. Relax every evening in your hot tub enjoying world class sunsets.
1,200 sf custom designed cedar sided cozy bungalow with a very efficient wood stove to enjoy when ambiance and warmth are the inspiration. Propane forced-air heat provided throughout home. Relax in our toasty outdoor hot tub and enjoy world famous sunsets on the Westside of San Juan Island. Complete with outdoor fire pit and plenty of firewood.
Our Home includes 1 Master Bedroom with King bed, 1 Master Bath, Gourmet Kitchen, Dining, Lovely Living Room with Wrought Iron trundle bed that can be 2 twins or king size sleeping. Separate alcove with twin cot. Wood stove heats the whole house. Separate laundry room.
The Master Bedroom is located on the second floor and includes a King size bed built on a pedestal to provide an ocean view. You can stargaze through your above bed skylight. MB has a dbl size sleeper sofa. The Bath includes a large walk-in tiled shower.
The Home has wireless internet access and DISH satellite TV service & DVD Player and stereo player. 56" HD tv in living room.
Best of all is whale watching as this stretch of shoreline has been identified by a whale museum biologist as a feeding area for Orcas. Watch whales pass by from the deck as their PODS come within a few yards of shore, hunting salmon. Use the provided binoculars to see every detail.
There is plenty to do in the neighborhood with beach access at Snug Harbor Resort. Bird watching is superb, with resident Harlequin ducks and a nearby active Bald eagle's nest. Watch fox, otter, and deer close by, or pack your favorite beverages, a great book, and a picnic basket, and relax at one of the many close County, State, National and Historic parks.
This 1200+ square foot vacation rental location is truly the Pacific Northwest at its finest.

If you are looking for a great place to relax on the island, look no further. This rental is a great deal - - nice hot tub, nice furnishings, lots of attention to detail, and it really seems like the owners have thought of everything. The only thing we could recommend is adding some hooks by the hot tub for towels and robes. Other than that, we couldn't think of a thing to add. Take these reviews seriously and book this cabin - you won't regret it. Our stay was fantastic!

We just returned from three perfect days at this home on Friday Harbor and wish we were back watching the sunset from the back deck and hot tub! The peaceful, private location allowed easy access to the island for sailing, hiking, whale watching, and resting. All house amenities and features (back deck, hot tub, grill, fireplace, appliances, etc.) were all very clean and provided for all our needs. Karen and Norris were very professional and helpful to book and make suggestions. We saw whales, eagles, harbor seals, eagles, deer in the yard, a black fox, a camel, llama, etc. I am positive the memories we made will last my kids a life-time. I highly recommend this house and Capt. Jim Maya's Whale Watching tour - you will not regret your choice.

Karen & Norris, We had a superb vacation and your VRBO played a huge role in the success of the week. We enjoyed everything -- the well stocked kitchen, the grill, the clean surroundings, peace and quiet, the satellite TV, the Rufus hummers, the Red (dark grey due environmental adaptation) foxes, the Mule deer, the Bald Eagles (one of which flew by clutching a large fish in its right talon), and the mile high bed. ;-) Our Orca watching cruises were successful and we burned nearly 10 GB of memory capturing whales, seals, porpoises, etc. And we really enjoyed San Juan Island -- the winery, the lavender farm, the farmer's market, Mona the camel, the alpaca farm, seeing more Orcas at sunset at Lime Kiln lighthouse, a sea otter scampering across the road, the friendly and approachable residents -- it was a good place for R&R. Jason and I just got back from our honeymoon at the vacation home last week. We met working at REI, and usually we like to go camping during our time off. This time we got this the most exceptional house we could ever imagine. This place is well built and perfect if you need a vacation to relax from working hard all the time. We really enjoyed the fireplace, the cleanliness, and all the details of this charming place. I would recommend this vacation house to all my friends and family! We will be back as soon as possible. This is a great rental. It is even better in person than in the pictures. It was the perfect size for my husband and I and our 2 little girls, who shared the trundle bed downstairs. A great place for couples wanting a romantic getaway. The property is very clean and well maintained. Also it is well stocked with everything needed for a great vacation. It was great to sit in a warm jacuzzi spa on a cool Washington night and watch the sunset. Master bedroom has a very comfortable bed. It is on a very high pedestal - watch that first step when getting in and out of the bed. However, once you are IN the bed you can see the stars through the skylight. Kitchen is fully stocked with all appliances and cookware needed. We would definitely return to this vacation home!

My husband and I came for a 6 day stay in May of 2010 for his leave home from his Iraq deployment. We needed the ultimate relaxation and we found it! The house was spotless and very clean and comfortable. The hot tub was sparkling clean. We were warmly welcomed liked family and felt very taken care of, but we still had ultimate privacy. Never once were we bothered or felt like we were imposing. The pictures don't do the area justice, the beauty of the area is hard to capture in photos, it is more beautiful in person!! We spent the nights relaxing in the hot tub with cold drinks in our hands and watching the sun set over the ocean. The activities on the island are very relaxed and sleepy, just what we wanted! Just driving to get to other locations was fun due to the beauty of the island. We can't wait to return!!

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend for two nights with our two little dogs. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. The kitchen was well equipped and the living room was quite comfortable. The bedroom upstairs was great and we appreciated the view of the stars as we laid in bed. The hot tub was a real treat and on a clear night the view of the stars cannot be beat. The location is perfect. It's quiet, yet not too far from town. The view from the deck and the living room was amazing. Our dogs loved looking at the dear in the yard below. We cannot wait to return and plan to make this our rental of choice on San Juan Island. The owners were easy to work with and very trustworthy. I highly recommend it!

We were looking for a nice, clean, quiet place to escape to. This property exceeded our expectations. Very quiet, great hot tub, comfortable bed, good views,very responsive owners with prompt refund of cleaning deposit. They even provided the firewood! We hope to go back soon.
